If you can see this, I just wanted to say thank you for this poem, Franny. Such an important piece ESPECIALLY in the current times. You have captured so many of the emotions I've been feeling for the past few months, as a Palestinian poet living in America, as an ally for black rights, and as a human being in general. This past summer, your Floating, Brilliant, Gone book literally changed my mindset on imagery in poetry, and helped me get through one of the toughest times in my life due to a loss of a good friend. Now, I see this poem during a time of prolonged anxiety and anger in my life, and I cannot help but reach out and say thank you.

When I first looked up spoken word, Franny was one of the first people I ever saw. She's had such a big impact on me, although she has few poems on UA-cam. I was so excited to see something new from her, and it blew me away as usual. I don't know if she'll ever see this, but she needs to know she's the bomb dot com.
