Ah, yes. A microscope in a shape of a magnifying glass.
I never thought I'd say this, but Morlun was the fucking G.O.A.T. for this!
Seems more like a repeat of the Smallville episode "Metamorphosis" crossed with "Tales from the Crypt" (the second influence being overt). Interesting to see Morlun in a more heroic role, if only coincidentally.
Deadpool: Okay then, I’m getting a spear to kill this Peter Parker
Too late a dude ate him
Miguel: I'm coming too. Can't let this guy find out about the Spider Society, or he'll try to eat us too.
I'm glad instead of using Peter's name to just ruin his ideals further, they instead change up the name to show that this isn't the same person. Because damn they really make that man suffer
Imo this story explains how important an Uncle Ben figure is in a Spidermans life. Miles has his father, Peter has Ben, Miguel has Lyla, Patton has Ted. Patton had an abusive Uncle Ben, which turned his path down to evil
Uncle Ted deserves that
I'd say that Poison is the creepiest Spider Man for me: A Parker who rejected his ressurection and ends up being bonded to Venom again, becoming a new being.
I've honestly never been happier to see Morlun than I am now.
This movie is literally the movie version of the "Edge of Spiderverse" comics, where there is one of the many versions of Peter who becomes exactly this terrible abomination much more similar to the Man-spider
This is the most biologically real spider man
If Stephen King wrote a comic book.
I've never wanted the antagonist to kill the "protagonist" more.
Never would I thought I’d be thankful to have Morlun show up although too late for Jane, holy shi-
Imagine a spider man that sees all the other spidermen being good guys and then going "oooooh"
I like these dark type of stories, but felt that this was over and done real quick, must have been a one shot?
But I still prefer the way Man-Spider was depicted in the 90's Spider-man TAS, that added the needed drama.
Thanks for the video recap, you did a good job showing the pages, and adding commentary.
Technically worse than Zombie Spider-Man, he ate people too but at least he was one of the only zombies that felt guilt about it and he eventually found a cure for the zombie virus.
Whats sad is he could have been spiderman but he was evil
when ever I think I heard it all, a new comic gives horror a deeper meaning. I want to ask these writers one thing. "Are you ok?"
I want to see the sequel to this in which Sarah Jane is a Spider-Queen.
That would have been rad but I'm pretty sure she just dies at the end. Unless maybe they make *that* a nightmare she has, and instead she wakes up with powers.
Spider-Man with arthritis made me think of Spider Ma'am XD
Yeaaaaaah...
This guy, even before turning into a monster, already had big serial killer vibes...
Yesh...
I guess Miguel took one look at this spider-man and was like “nope. But still, it’s canon” then he scrams.
That or it's the universe that gets purposefully destroyed. Let's be fair, if Patton found out about the multiverse, he'd definitely try to devour the other Spider-Men
Scary spiderman exist
Morlum : im gonna end this man carrer
If spider-man was like this he will be ultimate
Honestly probably for the best. Thanks Morlun. 😂
So this is what inspired the spider horror short
Give my man Parker some rest 😭
You know it's bad when Morlun is the hero of the issue
This would be a great horror movie. The fly meets silence of the lambs.
Well would you look at that
Hell, nah! Not only did Spider-Man have a horrible existence, and mental state, but even that universes MJ got a fate worse than death. Eaten alive by countless tiny mouths. Fuck!
Watched your videos for quite a bit now and I don't know if you have or haven't bur you should take a look at IDW's transformers run, one of the best versions of the autobots and decepticons I've seen with some really solid shocking scenes, regardless love the content and how you approach each comic can't wait for more
After learning about this coupled that with Miguel O'Hara in the Across The Spiderverse with his 'canon event' gimmick, that got me thinking:
"What the fuck did Miguel do to Patton Parnel? Did he really tolerate his canon event and probably stopped Morlun or let Morlun kill him cuz he's that vile?"
Omg I remember this! Its you sooo happy that Morlun comes through at the end. But this is a horror movie.
For me id vote the one that got a skin disease instead of super powers after he got bit. That ones just sad.
