    Excellent tutorial. The pace of this is perfect for people unfamiliar with the unit.

    GREAT tutorial man, I suck with manuals and this opened up my world to this synth. Thankyou!

      Thanks! And yes, an absolutely amazing machine. I find you need to 'tread lightly' or it will spin you off into crazyland very fast :)

    Nice Video . Thank you so much .. I was wondering if you found a way to shift steps or the sequence left or right ?

      No, but then the focus of the Mono really seems to be on sound-sequencing rather than time sequencing if you know what I mean.

      @@RichardDeHove I figured it out _ Hold Function and either UP or DOWn while the pattern is running. phew . This is so good , as often the randomizations create amazing patterns but they need to be shifted ..

    Do you still have the Norand mono? It seems so nice ☺️

      Sold the Mono a while back, but I'm very vicious with churning gear. For a while I was thinking about going all-in and getting a second one and using dual-Monos as a dedicated drum monster - I think that'd be very interesting and have a unique feel. There's no doubt it's a very powerful machine with the ability to get a huge range of sound. The downside for me was that it takes a lot of work to keep it in control. If I got one again I think I'd use it more as a loop-creation device for later audio mangling rather than trying to create logical progressions on the machine pattern by pattern.

    Hi! Nice video! Got mine today! :) Question: why does Bank A blink when you edit a pattern in Bank B in the beginning?

      Maybe it's just my unit but I often see somewhat odd lighting logic....

      @@RichardDeHove Thanks for the answer. :) I haven’t had so much time trying the Mono, but will try everything I can and see if I find any weird behaviors. If so, I Iet Norand know about it. :) It’s seems like an amazing machine so far! Hope they will continue improve the workflow. :)

    good content hard to make out your voice tho when the synth is playing

      You're right - and I used to agonise about the mix :D Since then I've put a big fat compressor on the music ducked to the voice.

    great video... I like this machine but it´s way overpriced

      @RichardDeHove  3 роки тому

      Because it's being done in small batches I suppose you'd call it a "boutique" instrument. But yes, t's not cheap.
