- This track was put together back in 2010. It's a fusion of Murray Golds 10th Doctor theme with Grainers title theme. With this arrangement I wanted to convey the Doctors power, rage, joy and, as the title suggests, his loneliness. It's almost entirely orchestral, with the Derbyshire melody sample being used to emphasise the otherworldly quality of the Doctor.

Theta isn't his real name. It's a nickname given to him whilst he was at the Time Lord Academy. Theta Sigma is the score he got on an exam.
If you took away The Doc's compassion and sense of duty you would have The Leader.

There's also multiple versions of an "evil Doctor" from different timelines. The most notable of which is the Valeyard, who is literally an amalgamation of all of his darker traits having taken form.
It starts out all timey wimey, then it turns into something wibbly wobbly, then.... Oh nevermind. Bloody brilliant job for a song about a madman in a box!

Great stuff. I love how it just flows into the theme tune which for some reason, allows vintage Who to com to mind despite being more elaborate than that. This is actually better than the current theme.
