Unfortunately there isn’t a stable kext that can be installed in our system, but there is a quicker method of loading the kext. You still need to leave the AppleIntelWiFi kext on the desktop for it to work. Download the kext loader from this link, All you have to do is to open it and the terminal will open asking you to put in your password. Ozair Ahmed it should work with this WiFi card then. You are saying your info.plist file is empty, it shouldn’t be. Download the file again from the link in the description and try it again. Make sure you WiFi name and password are put in correctly and it should work for you.

I have windows installed on another drive, so that's how I got mine. But there are other ways you can download them. You can use an ethernet connection or use your mobile hotspot through a USB cable. Or you can download the files on another device and use a USB drive to copy the files to your hackintosh after you've downloaded them.

The same thing also happened to me when I tried to connect to my iPhone’s hotspot. It connected to everything else, just my iPhone’s hotspot. Make sure you correctly put in your WiFi name and password in the info.plist file and try again.
Hey great tutorial. I’m able to see the wifi option in network but it has a red dot. And when i load the kext te system gets stuck. Mouse keyboard nothing works. I need to force power of the system. I’m using 3165 card. Could you please suggest on this issue. Update: i tried again the next day and it works. Everytime i need to open the info.plist close it again. Delete the existing wifi connection from settings -> network. Run the commands in terminal. And then wifi works again. Follow these steps each time after reboot. Glad i no longer need to use the USB adapter.

No, it’s not a stable kext and for now, that’s how we are going to have to use it until a more stable kext or method is available. So you have to always load the kext everytime you restart your computer to use WiFi. Please don’t install this kext into your system or you could brick it.

No, its only for intel cards. Some Broadcom cards work natively without any drivers, airdrop and handoff also works with some of them to. Just search Amazon for compatible Mac OS Broadcom cards that will work with your motherboard.

Yes i have connected 3 of my devices with the same password. Every-time with the wrong password it says to configure wifi to WPA2 personal but it already is. I have tried by changing the password of my wifi, and repeating the same process as mentioned in above video. But Still no luck

Did you remove the AppleIntelWiFi kext from your desktop? It has to be on your desktop for it to work

Wifi option is showing but wifi status is off
Because we can’t install the kext yet, we have to load the kext by entering the code into terminal. And it’s loading the AppleIntelWiFi kext from the desktop.
Go to networks in your system preferences and click WiFi, in the bottom you should see a check box to let you enable the WiFi status.
Does it work with intel wifi 5100?
I’m not sure but you can try it and see.

No, this is something programmers do and it’s quite difficult. I’m not the one that came up with this kext or method.

It’s only works depending on your type of WiFi card. And this is only for intel cards.

chamika ashen you should see recovery as one of the options in your clover bootloader, if it isn’t there, hit f3 to show hidden volumes.

If it’s not working, one other way of getting into it is to boot into it from your Mac OS installation usb drive.

Hey Rebekka, sorry it didn’t work for you. I guess maybe your WiFi card may not be compatible or you are not using macOS Catalina. This trick is only working in Catalina. You can go on the forum where I got this trick from to get more info or help on it:

Not working for me always saying wrong password.
Are you sure you put in your password correctly in the right place?
Yes i have connected 3 of my devices with the same password. Every-time with the wrong password it says to configure wifi to WPA2 personal but it already is.
I have tried by changing the password of my wifi, and repeating the same process as mentioned in above video. But Still no luck
Can you help me with this the wifi icon is showing and also showing the available wifis but not connecting to any.
I tried with my mobile hotspot as well showing incorrect password and configure to WPA2 personal which it already is.
