THIS SHANE GILLIS GEORGE WASHINGTON REACTION IS FOR FAANS OF SHANE GILLIS REACTION, SHANE GILLIS BEAUTIFUL DOGS REACTION OR SHANE GILLIS FIRST TIME REACTION ON RICHHOUSEREVIEWS SHANE GILLIS. I HAVE DONE SHANE GILLIS SPECIAL OLYMPICS REACTION, COMEDY REACTION OR FIRST TIME SEEING SHANE GILLIS.
"Beautiful Dogs" is the full special. His first special is free on youtube so consider doing that one
there's a lot of other channels reacting to it without the video that aren't getting taken down.
When it comes to history, even tho they are jokes, Shane knows his history. He’s a history buff. Which I appreciate
He is a "History buff" as much as you can be with an American education.
Shane Gillis is a gold mine of comedy bits
I’m from Ohio and they took our entire 8th grade class on a trip to see Washington’s estate. WILD 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣✅
Im from Florida and they had the same trip lol
I'm Canadian, I'd love to see that shit, road trip time
we did the same in 8th grade in California. fkn wild
Shane is a history buff; he just finds this stuff intriguing
I haven’t been to Washingtons house but i have been to places like that. I don’t feel guilty because I didn’t do anything. I do feel bad for the people who lived it and happy we are no longer in those times. But history is what it is. We need to learn what it was really like and i think that helps develop perspective on things.
How can you make sacrifices for a country.obviously work very hard to make it better, and ALSO be doing terrible things at the same time?man people are wierd.i know people need to know what happened in the past, but you couldn't make me visit those slave quarters.eesshh!!
No guilt here. My family came from Germany in the 1830's and lived in the Pennsylvania area.
I researched my family history and found that they fought for the Union (north)... I also found that at least 5 of my ancestors died in the Civil War.
One of them even died in a Confederate prison camp, in South Carolina.
My ancestors were on the right side of the conflict and were willing to die for it.
That is a good thing to know, but if it were not the case and your family fought for the south. You should still be guilt free. At the end of the day, we are all humans of this time. No one today owns slaves, and no one today is a slave, in the sense of african history in america. As long as you live your life treating everyone you meet with respect, you are doing what you can to change the future of racial relations, which definitely has its degree of unblance, with varying degree of cause, though that is neither here or there. Unbalance exists and feeling guilty for the past is useless, until the problem comes down to individual respect for everyone, and we stop trying to divide ourselves with race bating.
My family came from Germany in 1759 to PA as well.
@@AzBeautyFullyou are 100% right, but no time in the history of being called out for "your ancestors enslaved us" has your argument worked. (Unfortunately). However, I have deescalated one of these situations by bringing up how I actually know my ancestors did not. Sucks to have to bring up but alas.
Most likely enlisted for the money.. not the cause lol
@@anthonyholder7629 Not exactly a high-paying profession so not sure what you're on.
Yea the edits was terrible you missed the last half of every joke lol
I don't know of any documented slave skin items but there are documented Nazi victims paraphernalia like lhuman skin lamp shades, gloves and a collection of tattoos that were displayed like tapestries.
Yikes I am going to do research that’s sounds INSANE
You nossed the first part of the skit when he was in the slave quarters
Someone didn't watch the videk
Definitely doesn't feel good.
Bro yes Shane is funny! Wtf
I wouldn’t know. I have no white guilt. Why would I? I ain’t done shit!😂

I don't feel white guilt because I didn't commit those horrible crimes. But it is a sobering reminder of history. I find it fascinating but also terrible at the same time. When I say fascinating I don't mean I remove all emotion and context. But it is wild to think that at a certain time in history these horrible crimes were normal.
What is even more crazy is how we are not that far removed. I believe there is still a Civil War widow still living...let that sink in...
The Civil War ended 160 years ago.
Well put 👍
@@kevinathans4191you can’t be serious. The civil war was in the mid 1800’s lol
@brettpottinger9920 My mistake, she passed in 2020. Her name was Helen Jackson. You can Google her.
Some of my (white) scottish family came over as slaves when the british took control and sold them to America before Australia was an option. They wanted to kick the english out and lost, then got sold to the US.
Grew up on some of Washingtons farm land so all of our school trips were to places like this, yes I have seen a slave actor and yeah it made everyone really uncomfortable. Doesn't even come close to the most fucked up thing though. Literally had us pick raw cotton before leaving and they were supposed to collect it apparently but they forgot, so the school had all the moms there the next day asking why their kids were brought to a plantation and picking cotton.
Never would've feel guilty for that. Slavery sucks, but every race has been enslaved. Even whites in the US at the time. Largest recorded lynching in the US was against whites.
It's good to learn from the past but it doesn't define who we are today. Show as much love as I can to everyone and lead a good life, and I'm good. Never really once cared about race or what their ancestors did.
Would it be awkward in there? For sure. But so is sitting at a party and some dude is having you listen to his music.
White guilt? Nah. I only feel guilty over things I actually did. That being said, understanding the war crimes and human rights violations that this and every other nation in the world were built on is necessary for trying to put policies in place that prevent those things from occurring again
went in 2000 and bruv... as a fuckin 13 year old kid i was uncomfortable as shit my man.
Beautiful Dogs on Netflix
liberals hating on Washington is a stretch. its history, no normal person thinking about ole George. Gillis funny though
Read A Renegade History of the United States by Thaddeus Russell. Incredible book that's about how lower class people(slaves, prostitutes, etc.) defied social norms and made the world better. It totally changed the way I view human history.
i’d go without guilt maybe some empathy that that shit was just happening to people in general but not with that sense of white guilt. most of my family came at the turn of the 20th century and at the end of the day im not english. back then America was just an extension of britain , they didn’t consider themselves american they were
british .. ben franklin was still working in the name of the king up until the start of the war.. that’s why it was wrong in the 80s when they would teach paul revere would say “ the british are coming “ during his ride .. he wouldn’t say that because he infact considered himself british as we’re both sides of the war
My family never had slaves (at least no relatives since the 1700s) so no I don't experience white guilt over that.
His best bit and its totally messed up but if you watch the spezial you would still get some new jokes out of this bit.
This isn’t nearly the whole bit. You gotta react to the whole thing
I don't feel any guilt about what fucked in the head people have done over the centuries, related to or not
Most white people in the US are either descended from Northerners or later waves of German, Irish, Italian, Polish, etc. immigrants. White people who are descended from slavery-era Southerners, let alone the slaveholders are kind of rare outside of the South.

Gotta just watch this whole special
I saw him at Buffalo Helium before beautiful dogs was announced even. I think it was around the time of like the first or 2nd Portect our Parks podcast he does with Rogan, seeing the George Washington joke live before it was available on netflix was one of the hardest ive ever laughed. I like history and his act outs and everything were fuckin perfect. He's so good, glad im in my 20s to have money and be the target demo for a future legend.
Shane can be hit or miss with me. Some times I find hilarious some I find just kind of stupid but over all I like him.
You should just do the full Beautiful Dogs special. It splits up nicely into 5 parts. Great reaction tho brother.
Work at an auction company. Had a load of antiques from the south come in, amongst the items were shoes lame shade and trunk all covered in slave skin. Using their teeth or hair wasn't an issue for them.
Damnnn. Learn something new everyday.
Live in Austin is the best
That's a great thumbnail dude 😎 angry looking black guy, makes me wanna click
it worked smh
It would definitely make my white guilt go on fire.
As a history major, I understand the oppression and discrimination in American history. At the same time, most black people have more of a history in America than myself. I'm 2nd generation native born. I'm mostly Danish. My grandparents came here in the 20s. Both of them were deaf. They owned a bakery. Most of my mom's side of the family is deaf. They were a persecuted people as well. My dad's family is German and came here in the 30s. They were poor farmers in the north. I know my grandma was racist...But as far as white guilt goes, I don't have much. My family wasn't part of it, and I ensure my kids know the history of the US. My kids are raised to see everyone as equal.
You should read A Renegade History of the United States by Thaddeus Russell. Incredible book that's about how lower class people(slaves, prostitutes, etc.) defied social norms and made the world better. It totally changed the way I view human history.
For sure there's a sense of guilt, but I think it varies. It's a really difficult thing to process because it's a wrong that can't be righted. Who do you blame? I can't take blame for something I had no part of, but ignoring sins of my ancestors feels wrong too.
Go back a couple hundred years and most people had slave-owning ancestors. It was common all around the world outside of Europe until the 1800s or so.
@@manchasdos Very true. All of history was horrible compared to life as we know it today.
man you said it i cant stand when you can tell people are trying really hard to be funny... shane is great though

Hahaha
This special is shrek 1
In Jamaica, we went on a tour of some plantation where the Lady of the house had affairs with numerous of the male slaves and had them killed - I swear I could feel the souls of slaves there. It was so disturbing that I was having a hard time keeping my cool and not just outright cry - saddest place I've ever been - everyone in the group was wondering what was wrong but I just couldn't speak.
I went there when I was like 11 or 12. It was a nice day. I went around the property to the whiskey cellar and some old oak trees. Pretty sure I got a t shirt.
Slavery was mentioned, but not especially dwelt upon. There’s a “it was a different time” sort of vibe.
Like Shane said, you kinda go there to get pumped up on George.
I thought the teeth were freaky looking. The horse teeth have veins in them and look like wood, and thus the myth.
6:20 that's why we love you lol
Missed
I’m so glad I came across your channel.
Appreciate you watching bro
Commented to early
Kyle Rittenhouse didn't need to be defended by anyone because he did nothing wrong.
The "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT?!" line is the WILDEST shit
DO THE WHOLE SPECIAL!!!!!!
