Would love to see the open field tackle broken down into parts, specifically the balance up. I teach breakdown before tackle and some coaches on the team push back on the idea. I think, without balance and breakdown moving lateral left to right becomes difficult, and lends itself to over pursue.
Where should I start with my 6th grader at the line backer position. He played 9U & 10U some line backer in 10U but they didn't work much on fundamentals. He really wants to be a line backer.
