@@MathewTheBest Hi, in my case I bought this monitor a while ago and suddenly it stopped working at 165hz (asus vg279q1a 27 tuf gaming) to the point that today it only works at 120Hz because if I put it at a higher frequency the screen goes completely black. I have done everything and have not been able to solve this problem, I changed the DisplayPort cable but it did not work.
I didn't know that Display Port is better than HDMI as I'm having a some kind of screen turning off and on for a split second using HDMI cable. Now that you mentioned on the video to use Display port than HDMI then I switched, and it didn't flicker or turn off and on. Thanks man. It really helps me today. You just a earn a subscription. Sir what HDMI to DisplayPort adapter did you get specifically? My 165hz Asus monitor keeps on flickering when trying to choose 120 or 144hz. I have 3050ti GPU but I don't have the DP port, only HDMI :/
@@ikdrph I didn't use any adapter, the DP calbe comes with my monitor inside its box. Maybe you can use an HDMI to DP adapter base on your monitors resolution.

Thanks for the video. Recently got a new monitor (same as yours) and I came from an older Asus and couldn't get used to the color difference.. More like in certain games it felt way too dark but applying shadow boost to lvl 3 helped a lot!

DP and HDMI can effect settings both ways, My Asus vg27q runs 165hz on HDMI 144hz on DP so check both ports settings before thinking youre maxed out on one and not the other.
I'm a month late and I can't speak for the monitor not working however most games have built in fps counters. Minecraft you hit F3. Steam games you can change a setting in the steam launcher to show it in-game.
I own two 22 inch, 1080p / 60Hz HD monitors made by Walmart (onn brand). I was messing with settings on the monitor (my laptop was connected and was showing a purple tinted screen). I found my monitors include: Standard, Movie, FPS, RTS, and EyeSaver aspect modes. I use one of the monitors for my Nintendo Switch and am currently trying the FPS aspect setting.
I’m having really bad ghosting problems on this asus monitor on Xbox series x and ps5 and I’ve tried everything. Any suggestions would be super helpful!
Some games just naturally have really bad ghosting IE battlefield 2042 had some bad ghosting and it was the first game I had tried on my Asus monitor. Panicked was thinking of returning it but saw some gameplay on my brother's xbox and TV and it had the same exact problem. Lesson here is try different games and definitely don't use battlefield 2042 as a visual benchmark for your monitor lol.
Depends on what settings you're adjusting, for example the color profile (If I understand it correctly) only applies/works on pc. Whereas the other settings are accessed and changed using the buttons on the back of the monitor.
Yo I have ASUS VG27AQ 2560 x 1440p with 165hz but I’ve been considering getting ASUS VG279QM 1920 x 1080 with 280hz for multiple player, should I get it?
@@lyidspino7653 Depends what hz you're using while gaming. Even 240Hz with GSYNC + VSYNC in NVCP and game frame limitter has a few ms more latency (15off vs 21on - blurbusters) so you would need 390hz monitor then GSYNC is way to go.

nice video, i have a question ⁉️ i got an ASUS VIVO BOOK S15 with 8Go of ram and Nvidia GeForce MX150 i7-8gen and i wanted to get a gaming monitor, i choose ASUS VG24VQ do i get better gaming results like the high refresh rate or my laptop doesn't support all that good stuff??? will things change for better??? or i should just save my money??? btw i get some screen lag on some games... due to the low refresh rate of the notebook screen (60hz).
What are you talking about? Higher hz is not always the best. Especally when the gray to gray is higher MS than the theoretical refresh rate latency. Sometimes lowering you hz makes your monitor perform better in timings. It may not be as smooth but it would be less blurry. Unless its a high end monitor like a high binned LG ultragear that checks all the boxes.
For some reason i was able to change my image settings through the monitor but when i got back on i cant change any image settings or color settings through the monitor any help?
