Love all your videos and enjoy your process. Such a gifted builder and content creator! Thanks, Devon! Can’t wait to see the interior progress :)
Such a great creation!! Very glad to see you back in my notifications and to read in your responses that there will be another new video new week!! Yay!! Congratulations on another very successful project.

Looks great! love the progress! glad to sê you are still making magic😊
DEVON! Finally! I've been waiting for so long man! Great to have you back!
Haha I'm back, been grinding! New video next Saturday morning!
Love the progress! Glad to see you are still making magic.
Never let the magic stop!
Well done on all your hard work! You built a cabin, you filmed and edited! I appreciate all the effort you've put into this. Cheers!
Not the best job filming but I'm hoping sometime in the future I can quit my full time job and really spend a lot of time on video production of my builds! Thanks so much!
Devon, welcome back. Your taste in quality is exceptional and you've done nothing but an exceptional work on this fantastic build, kudos 🥂
thanks so much! just wait until you see the inside!
Love these videos, keep the updates coming! 😃
You bet! Next one hits this saturday!
I'm watching all these videos tonight. Subscribed.
Hope you clear all the vegetation from under the deck and give yourself some clearance between the brush and foliage to help protect from fire hazard. With trees so close, I would consider a sprinkler system, just in case.
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺 Wow looks fantastic, great video I enjoyed it. I appreciate your instructions I learned so much.
Yeah! Hopefully that helped. Only ever using these railings on my homes moving forward.
I bought a 60 acres land in front of a big lake and want to start building. I love the way you show every step of the process it motivates me!
Ayy congrats on the purchase!!
Devon.....Where have you been? I have been waiting for updates on this new build....lol glad to see your back with awesome content again. You are an inspiration.
I'm here! Haha just been grinding on the build. Plus took a little break for Christmas and nye
Bravo, it's really beautiful and you work well and often alone as far as I can see.
I build the homes 99% by myself, and sometimes my girlfriend/other friends will help!
Missed these vids!
Gonna be sharing one once a week for a while here!
63K SUBS! Keep it up brother
looks great! get them sponsors!
Great innovative idea with the railings and cables. I’m going to reach out to you regarding a project in Africa
You can’t fault his work ethics.
Dang, that does look nice!
It's so cozy. Been staying out here the last couple of weeks and it's such a vibe.
We are looking into doing the same on the log cabin we are building. The more I see the more I like this system
You totally should, cable railings are my favorite now! low key found a new company www.ModernDeckRailings.com and they are AWESOME (i'm going to be using they on my next project here I'm announcing next week) tell reach out to Clint Mailahn 402-499-2511, tell him Devon Loerop sent you and he'll hook you up. The quality is unreal!
You did an excellent job!!!
It's looking good! I think we are going with the Barrette rail system for ours. Can't wait to see the next video, did you film a lot of the interior rough in process? I was really looking forward to seeing have you handled plumbing, electrical, and airflow!
He didn’t.
there's another video which shows the home right before insulation, but in my final walkthrough video I'll make sure to highlight airflow, that was a big part when I was designing this home!
Hi, what model/brand of glasses r u wearing
Fantastic videos, just found you Devon. 1 thing, what was the total cost?
Can you attach the posts on top of trex decking? (using long lag bolts to go into the framing obviously)
Yes, you much go into the framing!
Devon do you have funding/investors ?
?
ever thought about painting the cables black? they’ll “disappear” - it’s kinda like magic
(learned this from chicken keepers and painting hardware cloth to see into coops a lot better.)
Not a bad idea, but I do like the look of stainless steel. Really cool contrast against black
What kinda clothes is that to wear (exposed knees) in the middle of the winter. Looks like it's quite a bit warmer than normal though.
My knees get hot
need more videos brotha
I'll have another one next week! Promise
Interesting you do a wood walkway. Feel like it’d get super slippery
It's not bad at all in the rain. Plus I don't want guests tracking mud on my deck
What size are the lag bolts that hold post in place?
there are 4 - 3/8" lag bolts per post.
@@devonloerop Thank you for the fast reply! Enjoyed your video super much!!!!!
where have you been?
Hahah working! :) There will be a new video next Saturday. I promise.
How did this cost you $65 per linear foot. They just quoted me for the same exact system at $166 per linear foot.
wohhh... for real. I just recently got in contact with a new company that seems to have even better products. Try reaching out to Clint at this email. clint@mailahninnovation.com. he's a really good guy and really solid pricing!
Wouldn't you just start on the opposite side of the tensioner? That way you save the wasted time of the back and forth!
I did try that on a few passed but I had to cut the cables multiple times and then sometimes the cable didn't set all the way into the crimp. So this way I have the cable fully seated in the tensioner and the end T-bracket.
