Ronaldo Fenómeno. The only player who dribbled through defenders like a bullet (not around them). The only one who performed all those skills at blasting speeds (not standing still or at a slow pace), while being among 2+ defenders. That’s why to me, he is the greatest.
@@ivocoelho6588 of course. running high speed past opponents is not hard when you are that fast, its the same with bale, r9 had good dribbling tho, but in terms of successful dribbles % messi is nr 1 in history of football. personally tho i think no doubt maradona was the best dribbler, no one else could do what he did in world cups. 1986 world cup is still the best performance ever from any player in a world cup, messi and R9 or anyone else could never score a goal like that in a world cup
@@ChrisE-iy7ok please don’t compare R9 with players that do nothing but run straight, like mbappe, bale... We probably think completely different, so this discussion maybe won’t lead to anything. But technically talking about dribbling styles, you can see that players like messi, ronaldinho and robben dribble around the players, they always take a step to their side and almost never straight up confront the defender like R9, Maradona and Robinho used to do. I see Maradona as a unbelievable player, but i must go with Ronnie in my number 1. You can see the majority of his dribbles weren’t at his full speed (he truly didn’t need speed to dribble buddy) and he used to dribble the defenders like a bullet (through them, using dribbling techniques, not taking steps to the side to avoid confront).
@@ivocoelho6588 i never denied R9 had dribbling skills he is probably top 5 or top 3 best ever when it comes to dribbling, most of the times he got past defenders was by going in too much speed where opponents could not keep up. it doesnt matter how you dribble its about whether you can get past them or not, messi for example uses body feints unlike any other players i have seen and can almost nutmeg players at will and at any moment, i doubt any other player could make worlds best defender boateng ( at that time ) and neuer look so bad like he did in 2015. messis dribble and close control in tight spaces are unmatched i remember when he was in his prime he could get into tightly packed defences and dribble the shit out of them no one can change direction as fast as messi could in his prime. but still messi and R9 does not match maradona when it comes to doing this when it matters the most. i have seen maradona get past more players than anyone else have with his dribbles and at world cup only he could do that, also he was the only one who did a rabona cross assist which is crazy only he could do that. also when talking about dribbling you forgot to mention garrincha who was also amazing dribbler, and one of the best players ever as well

The Phenomenon is the greatest dribbler in football history. No one can compare. His dribbling is god quality. He used pace, signature skills and elegant faints to decimate defenders and slot it in an open net. No one comes close and I mean no one, no matter how great they are.
Well, all of them are really close to each other. But I would say its a tie between Ronaldo Nazario and George Best. Ronaldo Nazario is the most complete and unpredictable dribbler since he combines skills, pace, close controll and direct dribbling with basics. While George Best ability to glide past players by using a direct dribbling style is amazing. 1- Ronaldo Nazario 2- George Best 3- Messi/Maradona 4- Garrincha 5- Pele 6- Johan Cruyff 7- Ronaldinho

running throught defenders shows just blistering speed, its harder to dribble around defenders
@@ChrisE-iy7ok wtf lol, hell nah
@@ivocoelho6588 of course. running high speed past opponents is not hard when you are that fast, its the same with bale, r9 had good dribbling tho, but in terms of successful dribbles % messi is nr 1 in history of football. personally tho i think no doubt maradona was the best dribbler, no one else could do what he did in world cups. 1986 world cup is still the best performance ever from any player in a world cup, messi and R9 or anyone else could never score a goal like that in a world cup
@@ChrisE-iy7ok
please don’t compare R9 with players that do nothing but run straight, like mbappe, bale...
