Unfortunately, much of the zoomer generation has little taste in music. I deal with them every day in my work. Many are more interested in emulating Lizzo than appreciating Led Zeppelin from 50 years ago.

Since English is not my mother tongue I'm finding rather difficult to understand why is this funny or whatever it is. Would someone try to explain to me? From what I understood so far is like if a group of people are too serious and never laugh, someone walks in and says "Does anybody remember laughter!?" ... but why would this be funny? :P

Mauricio Trindade when led zeppelin were performing in Madison Square garden in 74 I think and Robert plant was singing Stairway to heaven, at one point in the song he asks the audience, " do you remember laughter? "
You can find it on UA-cam. Just type in Stairway to Heaven Madison Square garden and it should come up. Enjoy.

Robert Plant's humility is amazing. He is arguably the greatest rock star post-Beatles, but he can both laugh at himself and admit to wanting/needing to continue to grow musically. It keeps him relevant where so many other rock stars, who cling desperately to the formula that brought them success have faded. It's such a blessing that Plant has been able to continue to provide an evolving soundtrack to my life.

I had such a HUGE crush on Robert when I was between 11 and 17. I was born in 1964, so that would have been 1976 or so. Had a poster of him on my walll. I had the albums on vinyl, then cassettes, then cd's. Had a LZ t-shirt. I remember the first time I ever heard LZ. I was about 6? My older sister got LZ 1 for her birthday. She played it in our bedroom on one of those suitcase record players. I'm 54 now. That was a long time ago. LZ featured prominently throughout my childhood.

Can't think of anyone who has provided us with such variety in songs (good and bad) and set the standard for exceptional vocals (not just in "rock"). I am going to be seeing Robert perform in Stockholm next week (hopefully). It will be my best concert since 1979's Knebworth and kd Lang also in Stockholm, 7 years ago. I grew up a Jimmy Page fan but matured into a Robert Plant one. There are indeed 'two paths you can go by but in the long run there is still time to change the road you are on'. He made an inspiring speech to a group of young fans in January that I showed my 81 year old mother and she said 'What a beautiful intelligent man'. I was born in Solihull in Birmingham, the home of Robert and John B. The worlds best Rock drummer! Keep flying your free spirit & peace and love! *Funny to hear Robert say he was getting itchy in 1976. I always thought 'Presence' should have been their swan song!*

Your musicality change and broadened with the years, that's what I have loved about you and Page the most. You both just kept learning along the way. What a beautiful gift to us. Been listing to you since you came out my dear. My brother would put a speaker in my room and one in his room so I could hear his music. Been a Zep head since then. I am so greatful he did that. Your music is with me everyday. Thank-you so very much Mr. Plant...

Fate of Nations is one of the best Robert Plant albums ever! And “Calling to You” - is positively amazing - I can be mesmerized, enveloped, surrounded and sink in to the undulating sounds with the best voice ... and the rhythm, the percussion, the mixture of different instruments to create that song, it swirls through my head and body, so sensual... that entire album is just great, I just love it and Thank You to Mr. Robert Plant!! I’m so glad you’re evolving and evolved and still creating. I’ve many times listened to your music and it’s healed whatever’s ailing me. Thank you so much!!

Oh wow 😮 so glad to find this. Robert has been the music of my life since I was old enough to appreciate good music. I am lucky enough to live in Kidderminster. In my mid fifties now and having met him in the street, what a lovely friendly man. They say never meet your idols.... but I am so glad I have, a true legend and a true honest man and gentleman. I appreciate his objective mind, exploring and expressing , and taking the time to digest the moment . Every album from zeppelin one to carry fire reflect differing mind set and imagination as well as times I remember personally in my life. Fate of nations is a most incredible Landmark in music . So glad to see record day acknowledge it. What an amazing catalogue from an amazing man

Robert Plant - The Golden god! To all the RP haters...get over it. If he wanted a Zep reunion, it would happen. He has his own career and like it or not, he has a talent like no other. Just respect his wishes to put Zeppelin to rest. I'm sure there are good reasons to it and still probably painful for losing a good friend and talent.
Rock on Robert! You are the reason I have the Zeppelin symbols on my arm!

Plant refused to play Zeppelin songs on his first tours for "Pictures at Eleven" and "Principle of Moments". At the time, my 13 year old self HATED that. But now I look at that time as a defining moment for a true artist.

Vero, not only he has a smooth tranquil voice, he also had and still has, a dynamic super powerful voice listening to Zep growing up wearing out many 8track tapes in my '57 Chevy and my bedroom piped into my shed "large building that I had many many friends from High School parties in". Led Zeppelin back in 1972-1974 was the best time of my life!

Robert Plant in the 1980's was great. He moved forward and didn't stick to the same LZ format, which he easily could have done, without loss of spirit. All respect and praise to Plant.

I'm glad to see Rpbert Plant is still going strong in 2021. I grew up listing to Led Zeppelin and even though I'm only 3 days older than Lyynard Skynards plane crash, I was raised up with Zeppelin, AC DC and Skynyrd with the loudest home stereo system in the hood and still remains nothing changed to this day.😊👍
