I have the same issue with a broken camshaft sensor donut. Any tips on getting the boot slid off? Because the right angle I can’t figure out how to push and pry it off - concerned either break the boot on the right angle connector
Oh it definitely wasn’t as easy as the video makes it look haha. I sprayed it down with a lot of silicone spray and then just kept working it and prying it until it came off. Thankfully nothing broke, but it took a lot of tries and effort. Also the M30 donut doesn’t fit very easily over the S38 wire it had to be really forced to go in, but it worked eventually. Hope this info helps!
hello guys, I recently bought an m5 e34 alpine weiss with 400k like yours, little by little I am tuning it up, even synchronizing the ITBs and changing all the vacuum tubes the idle is still somewhat irregular, have you noticed some improvement after install the "new" cylinder identification sensor. On the other hand, I congratulate you for your great work on your m5, I am eager to see new chapters
@@markus9950cent hey nice good for you for fixing up that M5! I’m not sure if it did make a noticeable difference because I was doing other jobs at the same time so I’m not sure what did the most. Also I hadn’t driven the car too much before the job so I don’t remember exactly how it ran. I know it will run even without the CID sensor unlike the M70 engine for example, but I believe it will fire the injectors in batches instead of individually. I would fix it for sure but I’m not sure if it will fully fix an erratic idle. Thanks for the nice words though and good luck with your project!
Another point is that the engine needs to be stone cold (kept overnight) to ensure the valve clearance readings are accurate for this particular engine.
Yes 100% right the specification is for a cold engine. I’ve tried before on m30 and m20s using the warm specification and it never works out right. I always let the car sit overnight before adjusting the valves
@@VulcanMotorWorksOhhh man, could you imagine? If you were a successful 30-40 year old male, this was the thing to have. I imagine seeing 300hp+ out of a 6 cylinder in a sedan was very very special at the time. I love the way the rear end locks up and puts that power down 1st to 2nd. Do you have a custom equal length header? It sounds like a McLaren F1 at 5,000RPM…
@@theways1234 oh yeah it would be so cool imagine putting 4 people in your car and then passing everyone on the road no problem! Yeah it really hooks up pretty good even with these old tires that I’m gonna replace. No it’s all stock exhaust except for a magnaflow muffler which surprisingly makes it sound pretty good without being too obnoxious
Amazing as always
I always enjoy watching content like this
We appreciate it! 🙏 working on making more asap!
Love this type of videos, keep them coming please 🙏
Thanks bro 🙏 we’ll keep ‘em coming no worries!

Great video, specially the test drive! 👍🏽
Thanks! Yup the test drive is the reward after all the hard work!
