If and when Hasbro releases a Studio Series Knight Optimus Prime Black Mamba is probably going to release a larger figure, but they should either or release a smaller version to scale with this figure, probably a third of the size of the Optimus figure.

Heya Ben, Wei Jiangs' version comes with an upscaled version of the DNA design upgrade kit so makes it the best version between the two aesthetically but it is a bit smaller. Just my opinion as this BMB would seem pretty basic next to it however larger it is :D

Lyle's Sports Channel, I got lucky a couple of years ago and found it in stock with SirToys. I also picked up the 50cm DOTM Megatron at the same time, which when posed correctly is perfectly in scale with M01 Commander or the new BMB LS03 Commander. I just recently got the oversize Strafe which fits right in with the 50cm Grimlock. I know they’re tough to track down, but I definitely think they’re worth the effort. I’ve been trying to get the 50cm Starscream for years so I understand your frustration.

Damn it! Just added the accessory kit to the SS version and did a complete repaint including all the detail on the gears, pipes etc.. in bronze, copper brass and silvers with smokey washes, then I see this! LOL.

he LS05 lights up the lights in dinosaur mode too: there's a button below the roof of the mouth. I have not located where the battery is, because it is not the same as the head of the theft. Has anyone located this battery that allows you to light your eyes?
I love that we are getting larger versions of these figures.....but.....at the same time i am very torn to the ethics of these releases. I think we all know that these molds are stolen from hasbro at 50% extra the cost of the official versions...and if they are masterpieces, a 1/3 of the price less than takara/hasbro releases...don't get me wrong I much prefer these, but these bootleg releases contribute to hasbro's continued drop in profits where they are now laying off employees. Most of us see a hasbro figure come out and pretty much wait until one of these 3rd companies ( if not all of them) come out with a larger version of basically the same figure that hasbro developers put the effort to engineer. I guess the proper way to go about it would be to buy hasbro's versions as well as these....just an observation.
So far I only plan to buy SS Grimlock over this, because still both oversized Grimlocks would fit as much as as this Grimlock fits into the SS scale. Another complain I have is that BMB and Wei Jiang love to oversize their figures as much as posible to the point that they no longer fit into the old leader class scale, just look at BMB Brawl, he would be as tall as MPM Optimus, when he should've been as tall as the first leader class one. Can't wait for everyone to complain about Wei Jiang's Blackout not fitting in their oversize scale

Finally got my SS OS Grimlock Black Mamba in hand, and gotta say, they really CUT CORNERS and cheaped out on the paint. I have him next to my official SS Grimlock, and unlike the sample in this video, the BMB OS Grimlock is almost unpainted and just plain plastic. None of the details stick it and it looks rather shit to be honest. Big disappointment after pre-ordering back in December 2018 and no sign of any of the "extras" they promised for early orders either.
Wei Jiang is smaller but more well done. This one looks like a toy...the WJ looks like a work of art and the coloring is better. We can debate scale till the cows come home but I frankly I always felt the Dinos in the movies were too big. I've seen pics of Ultimate Toys AOE Prime with the WJ and it works well. Now paired with WJ Evasion (probably THE definitive movie Prime at this point) not so much and they're essentially the same size but I don't know...MP scale has MP-08 and MP-10 as the same size so obviously scaling a Dino with a bot continues to be an issue.
