After many many hours of watching hundreds of reviews, I have concluded that in general Knock Offs are better than the officials. They are cheaper and often improve on the originals.

Dont mention "cheaper" they are cheaper because they dont spend money making an original model
it's easier to improve on something than creating it from scratch, and also they don't pay anything in licensing so they can focus on the object itself.
Especially the black mamba line..

Would you say he scales well with mpm prime and bee or is he a little big for that
@@nightfury-pv9ml I am honestly not sure because I do not collect regular size to Transformers I only collect stuff that scales with Human Alliance so everything I have is over sized. He does scale remarkably well with Dallas blue circus BC 01 truck Commander and the Thunder Commander coming out from black apple. He also scales well with blue circus bc02 big Bee.
Is that LS03 prime at the end?
It’s surprising how just the chest fix and the paint job are enough to make this guy look enormously better than the original

Not sure if someone mentioned this, but the fact that the weapon LEDs match the colors of the barrel glow from the movie is an insane piece of detail which is awesome!!
I must say 3rd party companies suck at Gunpla, but at copying Transformers they are on another level higher
This guy is great. Just got him today very well made figure. Ls07 armored wasp (movie bb Beatle) is fabulous as well. Probably the best value figures I've ever seen. Black Mamba seems to have improved quality.
This one's not bad, but it seems to suffer from a lot of the same issues I had with the official MPM, mainly in the extremely fiddly and tedious transformation of the cab section. I feel like a better fix would be to connect the front wheels directly to the internal support bars and tab into the huge hood/shoulder chunks rather than the other way around, and rearrange some of the roof and door panels so it's not all as reliant on getting everything in exactly the right position at the same time as you're still putting the hood together. Also, I feel like there should be a way to connect the row of orange lights at the top of the windshield to his backpack instead for a more accurate appearance... Anyway. Point is, I hope Black Apple are able to make it work better, despite their current shenanigans
I genuinely want that black apple ironhide, I haven't heard that they would be making a return and have been really sad thinking their figure would never see production
Black Apple engineer /designer was arrested and now he is in prison , on of the main factories of Wei jiang was shut down and all profits were destroyed after sentence , so it’s dead for sure
As with most KOs, he's way too big for my MPM-focused collection, but I do like the lighted eyes.
He does scale better with the carbots though.
MPM's don't have a good scale with other MPM's too ;(

Takara really messed up his posture with those back mounted arms and non tabbing shoulders, the black mamba not only looks more muscular and athletic, he also looks more comfortable with himself

@@672tabs There's a new Armored Warrior you can find at places now. I just got mine in the mail yesterday, and it's great. Way too big to be in scale with even my upscaled Black Apple Thunder Leader (Optimus Prime movie 1), but it is an amazing toy, and well worth the price.

I recently got the original mpm6 which turned out to be a total disaster when it comes to transforming. Wish I had seen this earlier.

Thanks Ben I have received my Weaponeer Ironhide, and you were right, it is the same size as the oversized Ratchet making it perfect for my collection, now I have all original Autobots from the first Transformers movie! Personally I feel the oversize version is the better of the options … especially considering we bore have an oversize ratchet as well coming

I have the oversized Rescue pioneer improved paint version and the Unique toys challenger. Will he scale with them?
He is certainly an improvement, but I'd rather have arms that come out of the side and no ab crunch than an ab crunch and arms that stick out of the back!

Ugh, why they did not paint the window black? It looks ugly in vehicle mode. That's the only problem I have with this one.
watching this of the nth time. still I cant figure it out how ben fix the shoulder. i mean with that kind of angle. Ive watch alot of LS09 ironhide shoulder fix and none of them close to this one. hopefully ben notice this and please. please make a video on how to fix ironhide shoulders with that kind of look. thanks.

Great review, as usual. How does it scale with LT-02? I've seen people criticizing MPM Ironhide because it's too small compared to Prime, but since Weaponeer is larger, I wanted to know if that would be better for scale purposes, or if it's too big
dammit! I already bought the official. I only have MPM Bumblebee and Leader ROTF Prime, so maybe I should start my oversize collection now while my collection is small? Maybe I might just wait for the Black Apple Ironhide.

What size batteries do the guns and head use?
I can’t see how you transform the shoulder. I did everything you said in the video but if I shake the hand the shoulder moves, not like yours that keep put. Could you explain this part again, step by step please.
Got mine today and same problem. That ball under his shoulder does nothing for me. Shoulder keeps flopping around and by no means doesn’t even angle up like yours.
I’m totally clueless and watched the vid about ten times now.
As I’ve said once I appreciate what you do and the amount of third/fourth party stuff BUT for newcomers or people who are not good with transforming sorry your videos are pretty much useless.
Stop doing cuts and try to stay on camera more. Adjust the camera when needed. Please man I bet many others would need that help too and sadly emgo doesn’t cover all stuff that comes out

Ive seen the promo-prototyoe with detailed schematics of the Wei-jiang/BlackApple. Its is extremely movie accurate and what l love about it most....is that his bumper is actually incorporated into his transformation and forms into his chest just the movie CGI. With that.....l'm going to wait WJBM.

He looks really good! Should go well with M01 Optimus I think. I’m still waiting for Wei Jiang/Black Apple version of MPM Optimus Prime. Seen a view teasers now and man it blows black Mambas Version out of the water Detail wise. I’ve got the dark MPM from Black Mamba and yeah it’s nice but never made me buy the regular Version...sometimes I really like what they do for example with nitro Zeus but Optimus is just okay for me. Now that Ironhide looks like I need it for my display!

Which Batteries dou you guys use? I tried the AG3 Batteries (LR41) as it Said in the battery slots. But they are too small for the slots
i hate every time you transform, you cut the video. like for most people theyll watch this for instruction too. but you cut way too much sometimes and its hard follow through. do it like emgo, man.
I think the same...please do a more complete transformation process and sorry to even add something to the complaint since you kinda slide out of camera pretty often. I’m one of those pretty new people to collecting transformers so I really need your videos to transform em without getting stuck and that’s where emgos videos help me more. BUT don’t get me wrong : I love what you are doing and that you do so many or even all of the third party/oversized Bootleg reviews!

Absolutely not, it scales well with the Black Mamba Prime, but with the mpm 4 is almost the same size.
Whatever happened to the ironhide on showzstore website that looked like it could hide the cannons in vehicle mode ?

Fo Shizzle completely agree! Oversizing just makes it so that you have to either buy all of their products or none. Also I don’t want shelves full of HUGE figures.

Weapon Expert Ironhide yeaa I can't wait to get my hands on this MPM ironhide ,even though I Still love the original voyager oversion from ROTF and the DOTm version as well as the Leader class DOTM version. they are all very cool pieces though, especially this one. just wish he ahd rubber tires. I love the LED cannons though!

Personal opinion, but I often feel like BMB just sorta rushes out many of their releases. They make it bigger, add a little paint, maybe even a few tweaks, but rarely much else. When WJ or TF Dream put something out, it seems to involve a significant amount of their own refined engineering, sometimes nearly replacing much of the entire original figure, and add more extensive paint apps. The two don't tend to oversize as much as BMB, but they generally put out a much better overall product, IMO.

Weijiang isn't making one. Black Apple is. He will be smaller than this one to scale with their Optimus. Go with this one. Who knows when and if that one will be released. And the price will be aprox $30 over this one.

The holes on the sides of a vehicle (on Masterpiece figures) are annoying and disrespectful to the word "Masterpiece". At least do them with the spring loaded system! -_-

@@grahamball3330 oic. No wonder it looks way better than the other 2. I never liked tf with empty back such as bayformers Ironhide and bumblebee, their back is nothing like having just 2 layers of folded roof of vehicles as their back. Removed the roof, they have hollow back as if the have just half the torso without back ribs.
But still Ben needs to improve his vocal by singing more. He needs to speak louder and clearly.

Hasbro? Fat, rich and lazy is what they have become. Can't compare to 3rd part kos. Molds suck, paint apps suck, transformation full of kibble and they hv the audacity to charge so much for their figures. They're losing customers. It is already 2020 and hasbro still make McDonald's happy toys and they seem so proud of their crap. What a pity.
