What a brilliant idea, this is so much better than just putting the empty cartons in the reclaim bag. If you were making one for a wet room, I would try using sticky back plastic to cover outside of draw unit.

wonderful idea I love doing different dyi projects. I get bored at home as I'm going through Breast cancer treatment doing things like this keeps me entertain. I'm gonna do one for my sewing things. thanks for sharing hopefully my daughter doesn't take it from me when I'm done.

This organizer was my first milk carton organizer and I use it for all my little tools and materials. Of course for sewing things it is very good too!!! My advice is: Do another one for your daughter! :-) Good luck!

I'm sure you are a wonderful person! :-) Yes hot glue gun sometimes burns me, but there is one thing you can do to avoid that: always wait for a few seconds before touching, pressing the parts what you are gluing. My hands are partly hot resisnat because I'm a chemist and I burnt myself several times so my skin is partly trained for hot things :-) I tell you a secret: on my right hand between my thumb and pointing finger you can see my skin is a bit darker. That was a really big chemical accident and burned my skin off completely... :-)

I like all of the re-use ideas. But I live in Southern California where we are in a severe drought. The water used to wash these containers makes it a bad option for us. I need to figure out how to clean containers thoroughly with minimal water.

Yes I know about severe drought in California :-( This is the way I cleas these containers: First I cut the upper side, then I spray some degreaser cleaner inside and let it work for an hour, then I rub a bit and wash with a little water. This way you need just a bit water and will be not stinky :-) Good luck!

gowri matha Thank you very much! :-) Little cutter I bought in DIY store. Here in Hungary it is very popular tool. Everyone has home. We call it Snitzer. There is a very sharp moveable blade in it. You can slide that. I hope you can buy! That is very usefull tool, but have to be very careful with it, not to cut yourself! Good luck! :-)
