how did u get the foam board so clean cut? when i cut it it fell apart and was very hard to cut. i used an exacto knife, scissors, and aa box cutter

Chipboard is very thin, so you couldn't glue the edges like foam board. It also wouldn't work if the chipboard was weak and bendy. If it was strong enough not to bend, and if you could figure out how to attach pieces together, then sure you could use whatever you want!

For the boards, Foam board. Alternatively, you can use corrugated cardboard too. You will probably need to make sure you use straight ones or make them straight before starting by pressurizing them with some weight overnight.
