impresive for a 10,000 + lbs Monster Truck to do 8.6 on a 1/8 mile racetrack and with a gasoline fueled V8 engine, not a diesel. I am thinking on making a drag race ,short school bus, a '60s FORD B-600 with a 6 row school bus body and I do not want to stuff a big diesel engine on it just because diesels got torque. If I can get that bus to weigh just 8,000 lbs an engine like the one in BIG FOOT might serve me well.
***** That's not what I said, I said he would have been faster, meaning his time would have been faster. I personally race 1/8th mile so I know the difference.
It has an afterburner. It basically dumps fuel and ignites it at the rear of the engine which provides a huge increase in thrust as compared to a jet engine running dry without one.
+Stealth Bobber all of what both of the replies said still apply to the Jet cars that don't have good 60 foot times, the OP meant this one looked like it did BUT I'd suggest it was just because BIGFOOT looked even slower
Wow this was awesome! I see Bigfoot went 70.19 mph against the jet car, but I couldn't quite read the scoreboard on the race against Snake Bite. Anyone know how fast those first passes were?
iwantmillet The acceleration would require a lot of time in comparison of a middle sized engine in a small vehicle, look at planes and supercars, if you put a supercar besides the Jet/Plane etc. The Supercar will accelerate faster than the plane.
Too bad they didnt regear those trucks for the 1/4 mile. Massive difference between a 200' dirt track where you need lots of Torque, and a 2000' asphalt track, where you need top Speed.
+Syrus54 HP is a rate of how fast power is being made - it's a mathematical calculation Torque is physical forced measured , I prefer the physical force number.
they should have raced a chevy nova or something very common for the race track to show how that huge truck is just as fast. they say 0-60 in a monster truck is 3 seconds now so thats fast as most ferraris and lambo's
Um, I dont know what the other guy is saying, but they do a burnout at the beginning to warm up the tires so the tire compound is stickier and you get a better launch. Not to "look cool." They then back up to the starting line for the race.
Are you kidding??? That's flying for truck that weights at the very least 8,000 pounds (likely closer to the 10,000 competition minimum) with all that rotating, unsprung weight, not to mention hard, ill-suited tires.
If had a big red monster Truck i would call it the 🔥DemoN i would use it to be the Monster Jam shows on the drit Track to race and do backflips and frontflips.
The recording quality of this is wonderful.
Gammareign yes especially if it’s from 2011
Damn, it may seem slow, but as heavy as that truck is, that's still impressive!
It’s got a big ole supercharged engine as well probably running on methanol for this exhibition
whoevers bright idea it was to have monster trucks drag race I LOVE YOU PLZ DO THIS IN CHICAGO
2:01 monster truck: GOTTA GO FAST BISH
Rocket Car: *sips soda* oh crap gotta go
I’m a Lamborghini person but damn! those trucks sound absolutely beautiful 😍
Incredible !! Really funny this VS, thanks a lot for the vid" !! Chris.

Lmao that was a quarter mile not 1/8. If it was 1/8 the jet car would have been faster.
Firesoulbot12 fail post
+Firesoulbot12 BAHHAHA you think 1/8 is further than 1/4 because 8 is larger than 4 don't you BAHHAHAH
***** That's not what I said, I said he would have been faster, meaning his time would have been faster. I personally race 1/8th mile so I know the difference.
Firesoulbot12
huh? mate you are confused bro, this race WAS 1/8 mile
You know shit's gonna go down when the bright glow of 20 gallons of fuel ignites and begins to speed towards the opponent at breakneck speeds.
Hei ..somebody farted at 2:13..XD
+Herik77 how'd you hear that XD
🤣
Herik77 how do you know someone farted at 2:13
hell yeah 😂😂😂😂
I think thats a quad
2:01 FLOOR IT!
How does this jet car accelerate so quickly? All the other ones I've seen take a little bit to get going, but this one seems like a missile?
They build up the burner and then max it out when the light turns green. It's like building up boost in a turbo just before you launch.

How about a jet engine in Bigfoot? lol
it would be slower than a normal car then....
Get4Instinct not if you stuck an f135 in it

Beth Lovelace what?
Never seen a monster truck do a burnout pretty cool
That's not even fair... but it's still an amazing drag race!
Was anyone else expecting sasquatch to be driving?
my exact thought. wasn't disappointed, though.
Yeah your mom LOL :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
@@leishajohnson7301 shut up no one thinks your funny and your just being disrespectful

+Syrus54 in drag racing i dont care your horse power i care about torque
I'd like to see you win a race with more torque than HP....
if you have 1000 hp and 1 ft lb of torqe you wont go very fast
+Syrus54 its 1/8
+Syrus54 HP is a rate of how fast power is being made - it's a mathematical calculation
Torque is physical forced measured , I prefer the physical force number.
did the other trucks in the background run the strip too?
Bigfoot dragrace more enjoyable to watch.
Any jetcar with J58 engine? I miss its shockdiamond flame.
Cheers from Indonesia
That was hilarious!
I never seen a monster truck do a burnout before lmao
Damn that's a fast rocket car

i think the jet car said im giving you 3 seconds head start.
It did. That's how drag racing works
+Firesoulbot12 That's how bracket racing works.
Tyler Luckenbill Yeah thats what I meant
Where is the video of the jet car doing freestyle car crushes? 🤔😁
Why do the monster trucks go forward and then back before each race?
Um, I dont know what the other guy is saying, but they do a burnout at the beginning to warm up the tires so the tire compound is stickier and you get a better launch. Not to "look cool." They then back up to the starting line for the race.
***** Not sure what you tried to say in that mess of a paragraph, but.. HE-MAN!!!!!!
***** they don't roll back to cool the brakes dumbfucks they roll back to get to the fuckin line have you seen a TF? They don't have brakes
All cars do that it's called a burnout...
Get the track sticky so dey won't burn out the first 24ft or so
Wow Bigfoot and Jet car were fast, Bigfoot 8.62 Jet car 3.62
chris lucy 8.62 in 8th isn't that fast, probably like 13 second 1/4
Are you kidding??? That's flying for truck that weights at the very least 8,000 pounds (likely closer to the 10,000 competition minimum) with all that rotating, unsprung weight, not to mention hard, ill-suited tires.

What was BF's ET?
time?
Imagine being in that jet car
the chassis r built different than the ones in carcrushing
Is it me or is that monstertruck fast
I don't think 70 mph is fast when you have over a 1000hp
@@jonesvaughn8946 I guess but 8.x seconds ?
They are not that fast but they are really hevy for a lot of power
17.24 (just an estimate) seconds if it was the quarter mile.
Man that was so close the jet got him by maybe 0.002-0.003 it was super close
210 mile vs 70 mile .... 3 time faster
So no one is going to talk about that big ads truck just pulled a wheelie?
STRODE GAMING no because they do them all the time
I mean it's common sooooo

Ok
8.62 @ 70?? Maybe 18.62
