So we got this collar for our boerboel shes very intelligent and is very well behaved but sometimes she's very stubborn in terms of recall I also try to get her through a small agility course in our garden and I feel like she needs a small tap on the shoulder as she's very stubborn sometimes ive been putting the collar on her and letting her wear it for short periods an hour or so at a time always giving her treats and doing basic commands like sit and down just to get her used to the collar being on her neck when should I start training with the stimulations for recall and agility
Thank you so much for providing this video - really helps a lot to see how it works in detail. Would you be able to explain though what the difference between electronic and blunt stim is? i know you said blunt stim is vibrations but i thought that's what the electronic one is - how does it work without amps?
Blunt stimulation is vibration. Electronic stim uses low amperage unless getting into the higher levels (more aversive stim) - which is generally not necessary or needed. Most dogs respond to levels lower than than the 15-20 percentile
What are those contact points called? I was looking for them but the ones I found don’t say it will fit the ET-800. It says it will for every other model but that one.
Hey buddy the collor that the device is attached too did you buy that separate or did it come with device cause it looks like them collors aren't coming with the device the ones that they are giving seem much thinner and with normal buckles not with the quick realese like the one what you have thanks
The quick release collar with bungee & contact points are two separate “upgrades”. You can contact us through our website (www.thedogprofessor.com) if interested in ordering. Hope this helps.
hello! so i had my rottweiler trained and they trained her on the mini educator.. ive been using it for almost 2 years now. like i mentioned they sent me home with the Mini. im looking at the 800 boss right now. i noticed you have the adaptor on yours in this video. is that something i can put on the mini or should i upgrade to the 800 with that adaptor??
Hi Vince. If the Rottweiler was conditioned on a Mini Educator & is functioning fine on it - I see no need to change. If the dog is being non-compliant or giving you “refusals”, it may be time to follow up with the folks who trained her for a follow up lesson. In regards to the “adapter”. Are you referring to the upgraded contact points?
@@thedogprofessorllc the mini definitely still works with her. I just didn't know if that was the best option for her. Yes I'm talking about the comfort shield

The K9 Handler edition has different insignia / logos on the transmitter skins (collar remote). Neither model comes with a quick release system, however can be added to both for a small fee. @@thedogprofessorllcRay Allen Carrie’s the double receiver edition, what are your thoughts on this model? Thanks
Do you have instruction videos for using the Boss with 2 dogs? It seems to change some of the button functions. Thank you
Hey thanks for your message. Sorry, I don’t. I’m honestly not a fan of 2 dog systems. I prefer each dog to have their own transmitter

My collar will only do m or c how do i get it to show both at once😊
Hold down the M/C button until you hear an audible “beep”. Cycle through the modes until both the M & C display simultaneously.

Is it easy to switch from vibration to tone? And how loud is the tone
Yes, easy. Quite audible the tone is

Why is there a weight difference for the 400 vs 800?
ET-400 has a smaller receiver vs the 800. Hope that helps.
How do you find the stim difference between the et300 and et800?
Sorry for the delayed response.... The difference is 20%

hi
Yeah that’s all well and good but not everyone has thousands of dollars to put out to a professional trainer. Especially in this day and age
"Pick up the phone and contact an obedience trainer..."--Like it's a given that everyone has $60.+/hour to train their dog :/.
Seems like people need to think about stuff before getting a dog
100% know what ur getting into before going in, especially w living things
100% know what ur getting into before going in, especially w living things
That’s like buying a car just to drive but not expecting to have to maintain it
dogs are expensive man
Do not leave the collar on TIGHT for more than an hour as it can create blisters on their skin
