im new to this channel but after 3 vids i get the feeling the concept is: having a hilarious ultra unlikely combo and showing it kinda work out maybe once and fail for the rest of the video.

Awesome and fun deck idea! The last game had me thinking that Drakuseth would be a good include, demoralize your opponent by burninating any of their early plays.
Man, I did add Drakuseth to this but the best addition definitely was Yargle and Multani !
Especially in case of 2 lifer pain lands from opponent.
Creatures you add to the idea are your solutions to answer any play on turn 1/2 basically.
It's getting more and more solid ranked play😂

If you threw in a brainstorm you could put creatures from your hand on top of your deck to guarantee hits

1 turn kill combos are fun, but these decks that screw with opponent are so much more enjoyable.
My all time favorite deck you ever made was the one that stopped opponent from playing any spells.

Curious if the deck could be more efficient in a temur shell with bloodbraid, turn one wouldn’t happen as much but the deck would be more capable on plan B

Amazing how MTG Arena still "randomly" gives 6 cards in a row that basically destroy the combo you built. Not rigged at all.

@napoearth he's playing way to many you should do 9 at most and mulligan when you need to you could replace the rest with cheap removal and or counters

You want atleast 9 statistical you should be hitting stleast one every game. Course you can still be unlucky it is still random generation

Chris! You have butchered this deck! Since the only relevant leyline is the one you start with (and no more than 1 is needed) , and you can safely muligan up to four times, you can definitely get away with much less leylines (4 muligans is you get to see 7 * (4+1) = 35 cards so 8 or even 4 laylines should be feasible) in the deck...
If you only needed a leyline and not leyline + Fragment + land you would be correct.
But as it stands if you get a hand with fragment you want to all but ensure you also have a leyline.
@@EWSwot Even if you are right, I still maintain that there were way too many laylines in that deck. Chris never muliganed down to even 4 cards, although this deck can work with 3...
Imagine the arrogance required to tell someone that they've butchered their own deck with the cards they picked and that your choices in cards would be superior to their own when talking about a home brew.
@@ChimericalMusic people do this all the time, since the beginning of Magic. It's part of the "the Gathering" in the name of the game. I've brought brews to FNM's where I've gotten anything from praise to hate and everything in between because of cards I've included in them. A good thing to remember is that a good number of people who play this game are on the autism spectrum and have limited to no social skills.

I never said that I am better than Chris, it is just that if you had actually watched the games, you could have noticed way too many useless cards in his hand, a.k.a. the leylines, and since that deck would work with more mulligans that were used in the games, It is completely reasonable, in the pursuit of a better deck, to replace at least a couple of the leylines with something useful.
