Being able to add stops is huge. I really like that they added this feature.
Yes!
Awesome! My first software update - can't wait.
Have fun!
I'm excited for the lane change feature. I often wouldn't turn on highway assist on because I didn't want to deal with disengaging and re-engaging to change lanes.
Yeah it’s really a nice quality of life feature
Great updates! I’m especially excited for the waypoints and lane change reengaging driver+. We take delivery of an R1S next Thursday!
Congratulations
Thanks for the windshield wiper tip. I’ll have keep that one in mind
You are quite welcome!
This stuff is game changing!
It’ll only get better!
omg that change lane feature is much needed - so annoyed that highway assist disengaged when changing lanes
It’s a great feature
Good review of the latest update
Thank you!
Love the video! The lane change feature is amazing! I feel like soon they will allow drivers to turn on the turn signal and it will auto move over to that lane. Similar to Tesla's lane changing. Keep up the vids!
Thank you for the kind words! I’m excited for Rivian’s software and what the future brings
Driver + reengaging is GREAT!
Yes!
Finally the lane changing!! Woo!!!
Also waiting for the side view mirror to tilt down when in reverse.
Same!
Can’t wait for this one to land.
It’s awesome
My driver’s screen doesn’t display the animation for lane change like it did in your video. I had the new 46 update installed in my R1S. Did you change any specific settings to get that animation??
Make sure it’s on a mapped road and you have Highway Assist enabled (double tap the stalk to engage)
Jose, a little off topic here, but how did you select efficiency in the drivers display? Thanks
You hold down on the left or right buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to toggle through.
Thanks so simple I could not find it in the manual. Great work looking forward to all your updates.@@riviantrackr
Still a shame though it doesn’t change lanes for us. My father’s 2017 S550 changed lanes by itself.
Hopefully this is the beginning of that coming!
Service Mode also looks like Theft Mode... "Turn off the cameras and block remote commands" would be pretty helpful for a thief.
But you can’t drive with it on
Hoping for Christmas theme
A holiday theme would be nice!
Nice to see some features that are catching them up to what others have had out 5+ years ago.
Perfection takes time 😏
Jees - really struggling to make each update seem exciting at this point. Where is the increased usability of the rear screen that was promised by “end of summer?” Where are the streaming services on the main screen? Why is Driver+ still light years behind every other vehicle with driver assist? Now we have to be excited that we can manually change lanes without having to disengage the system? Like I said - we’re struggling for excitement here.
There’s definitely still lots to do
I mean the lane change feature is better than the free autopilots full disengagement on Teslas so I find it exciting. The added stops is also super useful.
Andrew, why wouldn't you just buy a vehicle that does what you want it to do? I'm perfectly happy with my R1T and am willing to let a fledgling company grow and mature at a pace that allows it to turn out quality work over quantity of work. I have every faith they will get there. I waited 1,313 days from date of deposit to take delivery of my vehicle because I wanted the max pack. It was well worth the wait.
@@GJPoss I reserved in Dec 2018. Truck received May 2022. Initial software updates were monumental. The last several updates have been let downs for what was previously mentioned/promised. I absolutely believe in the company and own a shitload of stock to prove it. I’m just a little surprised about the lack of progress in certain areas like Driver+
@@AWDRIFTO oh really? My wife had a Model S with FSD for the last 3 years. It would just do the lane changes for us and was very good. Didn’t know to autopilot without FSD was that far behind. We just ditched the Tesla for the new i5M60 two weeks ago. Haven’t used the highway drive assist feature yet but based on several review videos it’s supposed to be quite good.
Please add cruise control resume. How can a 2023 vehicle not have such a basic feature? Please pick up the pace of improvements. 1 or 2 nuggets each month is not exciting.
What do you mean by control cruise resume?
@@riviantrackr If you've set cruise to 68 mph and hit the brakes, you should be able to simply press a button and resume at that speed. Currently, you have to manually reset to 68 mph. I have 2004 and 2006 vehicles that not only do that, but also display what that last "saved" cruise speed was.
I agree. Would also love for the signal to turn off after a short period. A lot of times I changes lanes and don’t hear it still clicking. I look down and realize it’s been on for a half mile!
Agreed. Shortly after delivery suggested they increase the volume, but like your idea. Rare that I forget to turn off a signal, but would be nice if it was more noticeable
Coming from our Mercedes, the Rivian technology in the vehicle sucks.
There’s still work to be done but Tesla wasn’t great in the early years.
Give an example.
Rivian tech sucks. Sold my Rivian and went back to a Mercedes. Rivian is years behind in their tech and UI.
That’s definitely your opinion 😊
