My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married at age 19, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. Small part of this video but love the part at 9:04 when Kyson asks for something to be removed and you say “Yes” immediately, and he says “Thank you, love you.” So sweet.
i LOVE that kyson asked you to take away a part of the twin video and you just immediately agreed. no “why” no “but that’s part of the video.” most social media moms would do the opposite, that’s how you know jess isn’t like some of the others!
She probably just agreed because she was on camera
She has always said she respects the kids wishes of being on camera.

Beardies turning black doesn’t always mean mad, but it means they’re stressed. Something is going on in their body that needs attention or something in their enclosure is off.

She will not be done growing until she is 2 years old.
You can take her to puppy training classes, then training classes. You or Chris take her to training. No reason to send her away.

Jess, please take Honey to a legitimate groomer. Not a petco or petsmart. Even look into mobile grooming, they come to your house, park outside and groom your dog in their highly equipped van. Less stress on your dog.
My golden doodle loves Petco grooming. It is what was best for him.

My dog loves his groomer Chris at Petco. I’ve taken him to other groomers and Petco was the best out of other groomer places and mobile groomers.

Is there any reptile or wildlife vets you can take Mango because this vet seems like they dont know what to do for this reptile.
Addie needs some flyer cheer shoes. They are more lightweight and easier to tumble/stunt in. It’s basically cheer shoes with more mesh on the outside which also makes them more breathable.
Large breed dogs are not “done” growing until 2 yrs old. She will be almost fully grown by a year, but is definite done at 6 months. She’s gonna be big girl!!
Is Mango being seen by a regular vet or a reptile one? If you can't find one call the newest zoo, ask to speak with their reptile person to find a reptile expert, poor thing it looks so painful, I eat most things with a spoon, with a fork I keep dropping the food or poke myself.
Definitely take Honey to training classes. If you’re wanting to take her out in public to pet friendly places, you’ll want to be sure that she’s not dog aggressive. The best way to do that is to have her around other dogs and in a secure environment. This is especially recommended because when you’re out in public with her she could come across service dogs and dogs that aren’t so friendly. Both of which could be detrimental in different ways.

I cheered for 13 years on a competitive team, we were always told to not tumble on the trampoline so we didn’t get use to the “bounce” it’s easier to tumble with the bounce but when you’re on a dead mat you won’t have that!
That garden area by the pool....plant a slow growth palm tree or a bunch of succulents. Easy to do and sooo cool by your gorgeous pool.
You have to train the owner along w the dog or the dog comes home and becomes the same dog w same behavioral issues
I wouldn’t send her off for training but I’d maybe look into private training to help you with anything you’re looking for and struggling with. People tend to forget or struggle with leash manners so that might be a reason for private training
Baked Mac & cheese gets a fork. Your basic Kraft stuff gets a spoon. Rice depends on what I’m eating with it.
Don't send her off. You guys are doing amazing with her training and honesty she is doing beautifully. Also, she's only 6 months old. She will keep growing until she is 2.
Also, with Mango, maybe reach out to some reptile professionals. Vets don't do well with Reptiles. Reptiles need their own specialist ❤ I hope Mango is okay, because he truly is beautiful
I would recommend bringing Honey to training/socializing classes where you can stay with her and learn with her. She will get training and socialize with other dogs in her class while also bonding more with you. I think it would be good for both of you to do together.

I won't recommend send her to boarding training class. For my puppy I take her training classes that I go with her she a cavapoo and I like that better too. Make sure honey is social with other dogs too.

I think you can do a peach theme nicely without doing wild colors. Neutrals are where it’s at! Cream walls, light stain on the cabinets, pops of gold hardware, green and peach accents. Get some cute print to hang, a shower curtain, rug, etc. That way it goes with the theme but it’s not too much
Personally, I don’t think honey needs any training. I think she’s doing fine with just you guys that’s just my opinion also, as the color goes for the guest bathroom, I think it’s a little too bright maybe dim it down to a shade, lighter tone down brightness of that and maybe that would work.
Im wonder if those blue lights in the boys room have any effect on how they sleep? Most phones have a blue light filter which you are meant to turn on for a few hours before bed, as blue light apparently stops you from sleeping. I wonder if LEDs like that would have the same effect?

As a bearded dragon owner and previous vet tech...please find another vet for mango. Specifically a reptile vet if yours isn't. Honey isn't done growing till shes 2.

As someone who had to send their German shepherd puppy off, Honey most definitely is doing fine with you and doesn’t need boarding training. Keep what you’re doing and maybe sign up for some puppy classes for socialization and if you get in with a training place they can help guide you in her training journey.
I say from personal experiences don’t send dog for training especially when your able to train 🐕. Unless you continue training once returned home they lose the knowledge of thing they learn. Also they should learn it directly from the owner and creates a bond.

You should look into using clear light for top of patio the roll down and zip shut walls ( could be called something different where your are) it's like a clear PVC is Soo common in NZ so can use your out door area all year round and keep cold/wind/rain out and can just roll up on beautiful days

If I was going to train class go to once where you go once a week with the dog for a couple of hours then you are training the dog not other people training them

I’d hire a gardener and plant perennials in the garden area. Creeping phlox is so pretty and requires very little work.

Seasoned cheer mom here. Get her varsity cheer shoes. They are light weight. If she is going to fly they are the best for her bases for gripping her feet in the air.

The only person I know that sent their dog away to get trained could not train them. He was uncontrollable. I took my dog to Dogs Best Friend training classes by Patricia McConnell. Read her books too. No reason you can't continue to train Honey yourself!

When shopping for shoes for children you should be able to have a full width of your thumb in between the top of their big toe and the front end of the shoe to allow for growth. They need to be standing up with their full weight on both feet. I worked in a shoe store while I was attending the University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I was actually working 4 different jobs to help pay for my expenses and things like textbooks that aren't normally covered by grants and scholarships. Plus I didn't want my parents to have to go in debt due to me. My youngest sister forced them into getting loans and a mortgage on their home which hadn't had one since they purchased it.
My top 5 puppy tips btw I’m 15 , I only got a puppy last year. Now she is 1 years old.
1: please make her sleep in a play pen or a crate.
2: take her to puppy school, it’s the best thing.
3:Make sure you socialise her with people and other dogs .
4:Take her on a walk for 20 minutes.
5: please never repeat the same word over and over because they won’t listen and it’s just a background noise.
Honey doesn't need to be sent away if she's learning what she needs to from you. She does need a professional groomer and that needs to start happening now so she can get used to it.

I eat anything i cant stab with a spoon unless its a 3+ course meal then i use a fork. But typically if i eat just rice its a spoon for sure. Mac n cheese too.

hi Jesssfam. Jessica I think Honey shouldn't go to the program because if she does they might give her different commands than you did and she may get all confused. I think if Honey listens and is well behaved what more can you ask for in a dog? think it over or talk to your family see what they think or talk to talia.
Our puppy’s growth slowed at 6 months and then she started to fill out but has continued to gain height past the age of 1

They will stop growing by 3 yrs old. Depends on the breed. Your doing a great job training so why send her????
Because if you want to take your dog out in public it’s good to know whether or not they actually should be. Especially when it comes to other dogs that might not be as friendly or service dogs.

Sweetie, small dogs are their full size by 6 months and large dogs are full grown by about 2 years.
You could take her to a puppy class to see how Honey measures up. Just a thought.

I eat most foods with a fork. It was a right of passage when I was a tiny child. Until you were 2yrs you ate with a spoon , at our house. After 2 years you ate with a fork, spoon and butter knife.
Definitely do not recommend a board and train situation. I know of 2 facilities that were abusing dogs! One of them was right down the street from me. Videos produced of the abuse dogs suffered. Awful awful 😭

Honey doesn't need puppy training, all she needs is consistentcy and the same word commands from every one. She also doesn't need multiple people telling her the same thing at the same time. you and chris should be the ones giving her the commands

i’m not seeing many responses on here abt the paint but maybe getting a white paint and mixing it to lighten it to your liking
No puppy training places! Most use harsh methods like shock collars to get quick results. She doesn't need it. She's clearly picking up on training just fine and you don't want to create fears and anxieties for nothing. Training is a life long process. She will need reminders at many points in her life. That's normal. It's not a one and done thing just like your kids probably don't listen all the time even though you've "trained" them haha.
Shock collars don’t hurt them it re directs them unless the owner uses it wrong
@teagen_roblox2276 it's still a harsh method. Whether or not it causes actual harm is besides the point. It's still not a pleasant experience and there are better methods that work just as well.
Jess, look for a peach color that pulls orange so it doesnt pull pink after dried. Also, for that vanity light you could use it instead to light up those kiddo photos in that green living/kiddo spot. 😁

Agreed. Those places are death traps, and they are so unequipped to groom. They leave these animals in cages for over 6 hours. I've seen it. I know better now.

You need to go to the class with her. It’s about them training you to train them. Also they will learn how to socialize with other animals.

We have never taken our dogs to any trainings and they have all been perfectly fine. You just have to make sure you train her right and it seems like you have. BTW we have had 8 dogs and never taken them to get trained.
