What an extraordinary masterpiece. Apart from flamenco, at times I hear elements of Scarlatti, Bach, gypsy jazz, Marin Marais, Philippe Rameau, Keith Jarrett and so much more. Beautiful.
are you kiddin me this man has a so much passion and emotion he pushes for every note and he use of the fretboard is amazing must be because hes lefty. and his rhythmic is superb.
Tremendo pulgar.
so beautiful. I hope to meet you guys next time I go to Ghent. I enjoy many of the waso CDs with Fapy Lafertin... and i saw the family play with him at samois in 2006!
Myrddin your playing is wonderful. Ama is one of now one of my favourite pieces of music from any genre. I cant wait to get your instructional book/dvd and although I am a beginner will continue to be inspired to one day be able to play your music. Many thanks!
Hola Myrddin! Great to hear this again after Sanlucar, 3? years ago and 10? years ago or more... Hope you are well, we missed you in Sanlucar! All the best from Peter (Holland)
what a piece !!! he definetly took the buleria compass and fused it with classical tune and you got this wondeful music, what makes the song great is his precision . noticed he uses alot of arpegios & alzapua. but whatever means to create such music.
Hello, I heard from my brother Waso, that maybe you want to invite me. I'm certainly interested in your dvd-project, and it would be very nice to go to your country :) Indeed, your gessing of the tuning of the song on youtube was right. But I'm always a half tone below, because then a guitare sounds much better. greetings, Myrddin
I have to say something. I think this is NOT a Buleria from Gerardo Nunez. The same occurs with the other videos: Paco, Vicente, Manolo e Canizares. I saw this before and it seems Waso changed its title. I think he do this to people find his videos faster and easily. Of course, if in the title appears "Paco De Lucia" or "Vicente Amigo" everything becomes easier, right? I will NOT criticize him. He has a great technique! A great sound! He deserves to be known! Flamenco influece is obvious.
Hello,i made a book with my music and this is one of the 3 compositions written in notes and tablatura!you can find it at the la sonanta guitar shop and bookmaker for flamencoguitar.Greetings Myrddin
I think this is one of the coolest modern guitar compositions. I've always wanted to learn it even though I don't have all the techniques. I doubt there is sheet music?
Furthermore, this guy is a fucking pioneer on the area of flamenco if you ask me. Have a little respect. He's like Marek Pasieczny is to classical guitar, have a bit of patience, listen to the piece more then once. I'm not ashamed to say i don;t alwas get a piece in the first try
hello myrddin, i will get in touch with you in march, right now i am extremely busy with many projects! we will be making 2 dvds with stochelo and a gypsy violin dvd in 2 weeks! all this while i'm trying to finish a cd and play some gigs .... but i definitely want to do something with you!
I like the way he plays, the sound of his guitar which has a beautiful flamenco-tone and his thumb, ligados and arpegios. Very nice moments in this comosition. I just wonder why he never plays picado or tremolo. One thing is clear: this has got nothing to do with bulerias or even Flamenco. Myrddin seems to be the Manitas de Plata of our times. But anyway, a fantastic piece of music to listen to.
Did you consider having this great composition published? I am also a left handed flamenco guitarist and would love to play your music. Do you have any other pieces that you have composed?
But I think none os his musics are from some of the Flamenco's forms. So, from this viewpoint, he is quite original!!! Waso, I'd like to see some Buleria, Solea, Alegria, Fandango, etc... I think you can play Flamenco. It seems you studied Flamenco before compose this musics. Sorry for may bad English.
(Google translation...)
he's doing rasgueados in their. Just because there's no picado, its not flamenco??? I think you are very confused. What he is playing is VERY MUCH flamenco. AND very orignal at that.
Flamenco as a universal guitar solo instrument is dying out, Paco has done pretty much anything and its hard to be original. Obviously Flamenco in Andalusia is a different business.
He's certainly incredibly gifted on a technical point of view, but i would like to make a personal remark: i think there is too much technique and too few feeling and interpretation. Flamenco is not only about playing difficult and complex passages, but also expression and research of the right tymbrical and intensity variations, which i don't see here. I know many people will disagree, but i repeat that it's just my subjective point of view.
seriously i kinda feel sorry for you.. you seem to completely miss the point in flamenco.. in guitar in genaral. Listen to his video's, so many slight errors, just because he goes full out. His technique is amazing, i can just see he goes full out, sometimes some little fuzzy notes but that;s because he plays emotional. I just don't understand how you can say sutch a thing. Sure his technique is incredible, but it's not like he's playing without emotion at all. The opposite..
What an extraordinary masterpiece. Apart from flamenco, at times I hear elements of Scarlatti, Bach, gypsy jazz, Marin Marais, Philippe Rameau, Keith Jarrett and so much more. Beautiful.
Man that was so unique and awesome. What a style. So much to it. So mysterious and dark
I never realized that it is possible to play like this. The piece is amazing!
are you kiddin me this man has a so much passion and emotion he pushes for every note and he use of the fretboard is amazing must be because hes lefty. and his rhythmic is superb.
Tremendo pulgar.
You may shoot at me if I'm lying: everytime I hear this it moves me to tears. NO idea why...
Haunting! Great technique too. I'm truly inspired...
Super Bravissimo troppo bravo
Simply amazing!
Flamenco Mozart ....I really like it super awesome

beyond brilliant.

Hello,i made a book to learn my compositions and you can find it at the guitarshop LA SONANTA Greetings Myrddin
Check out Villa-Lobos's Etude #1 with what he is playing from 1:50 to 3:15 to see what I mean
I like the way he plays, the sound of his guitar which has a beautiful flamenco-tone and his thumb, ligados and arpegios. Very nice moments in this comosition.

very nice! Is this an altered tuning? Thank you

This piece sounds very much like what Villa-Lobos might have written, minus the rasgueados.....at 1:50 in the piece especially.
good lord...
thats one monstorious thumb
madre mia,menudo cañon de guitarra...
he's doing rasgueados in their. Just because there's no picado, its not flamenco??? I think you are very confused. What he is playing is VERY MUCH flamenco. AND very orignal at that.
nice pineapple. :)
flamenco de manchester
Flamenco as a universal guitar solo instrument is dying out, Paco has done pretty much anything and its hard to be original. Obviously Flamenco in Andalusia is a different business.
He's certainly incredibly gifted on a technical point of view, but i would like to make a personal remark:
