I’m not familiar with IKEA Pax but I can say I’ve had great experiences with California Closets. However it is very high priced. Next time I’ll look for a cheaper option

I used them too, but I took a mean shit when they were installing my closet design. It stunk up the entire house. It smelled of rotting beef, depression, and radiated human flesh. They wanted to leave, I don't blame them, but I didn't let them leave until they finished. To this day, I can't get a delivery service to my house since.
It’s laminate composite not melamine…there’s a difference. We have had zero issues with CC…love the product. We have had their closets in multiple homes now. If there is an issue they come and fix immediately. All of that said…it is not real wood. We have other built ins in our home done by a millworker which is 100% real wood.

I can appreciate that…but that was not my experience at all. We had a drawer not operating correctly and the immediately came back and fixed it.
