I decided to have a look at my collection and struggled to find anything of massive value. Fredik Thordendal’s Special Defects is a little pricey and maybe the limited edition Ved Buenes Ende - Those Who Caress the Pale. Dreadnought’s bodyBLOODSKINmind appears to have some value due to it being the initial pressing with the band name spelt with an o rather than a. There were some other ones that weren’t too bad, but I didn’t go through too many due to laziness. Looking at how many are sitting behind you, it’s a miracle you had the time to actually make the video.
haha well for all my valuable ones there are 200 times as many ones worth $2 or less so I'm not about to retire anytime soon - I couldn't bring myself to sell most of my expensive ones anyway but it's a fun exercise to do
Some old Aussie stuff is rare/expensive as fuck! Damaged, Beanflipper, Misery etc I want that Katatonia. Went to Melbourne to see them Saturday! What a fucking great album! Edit : Both the Katatonia's are sick but The Great Cold Distance is amazing
There’s been some old MySpace era bands I’ve been looking for for like ten years now a lot of those old Aussie bands put out a CD and did a handful of shows and then disbanded all in one summer lmfao
for a brief period I wanted to collect ALL Aussie metal but realised it was a crazy concept as there were so many bands with one demo or cd with bugger all pressings - plus then I'd have to buy all the crap bands I didn't like

Always enjoy watching these types of videos Geoff… & it’s always really interesting to see what some things are valued at isn’t it!🤘🏻
Thanks man and yeah some surprises in there. I’ll probably do my tape version soon which are of course mostly ancient Aussie demos
This reminds me I need to do my vinyl version. Pretty sure the Misery and Demilich were in my old cd video too!
yeah do it!! I pinched the idea from your old video
Misery were the highlight for MetalHeads at the 4zzz market day when everything went Grunge early 90's.
Haha I bet!
You scored big on that Kationa and Slayer. Used to have the original Slayer Soundtrack To The Apocalypse 4 disc version.
well I'm a diehard fan of both bands so no way I was missing the Slayer bloodpack version as it has an extra live cd

Katatonia were killer in Sydney! Those deluxe sets are damn nice and maybe one day I'll get a 5.1 setup so I can appreciate whatever extra there is

I spent $596.10 on darklord symphony satanikka, worth every cent, it was from discogs but private sale after securing the sale initially

I wonder if I ever bought anything there as I went down for a few Alchemist gigs (with Manticore of course) in the mid 90s
My most valuable is an old Fear of the Dark Japanese import, median is like 46 bucks because someone bought it for like 120 bucks.
