Hi Savvy, insightful analysis and documentary style!! May I make 2 suggestions? S1. May be try to dress in all white (easy to find and to the eyes), and shoot against a dark background on a sunny day? Firstly, the color will reflect more light, which means your body will absorb less heat. You'll sweat less, and enjoy your creative work more :) Secondly, the color contrast is going to make the contour line of your body and movements pop a lot more. S2. Your set up is so professional (perfectly-maintained pitch and cones) that it might intimidate those who misbelieve the only way to improve one's skills is by breaking one's bank. Thank you so much and I can't wait for your next uploads!!
Hi Kit-Shing, This is some golden information right here - I have only just started to learn how to edit/film etc on the go and having people within this small (but awesome) community is what is really special about being a UA-camr. Thank you so much for your support my man and I’ll note down your suggestions for safekeeping when I’m filming next 👌❤️
@@SavvyFutbol You are welcome, Savvy! :) I highly suggest a Japanese UA-camr, Masakazu Okabe, to you. His channel is called "Dribble Designer Okabe". Okabe emphasizes training (timing, pacing, footwork) with a metronome. What I admire about Okabe's channel besides football is, his subtitle does not rely on some random auto-translation. Therefore, Okabe has total control of presenting his "Okabe's Dribbling Philosophy" as a very user-friendly learning service and product globally!! My learning struggle of non-Cantonese tutorial channels makes me relates to the hearing disabled I played with in some pickup games. Please check his link below out and let me know what do you think Okabe's marketing approach. Cheers Savvy! :) ua-cam.com/video/aC4a7dSFGkw/v-deo.html
The thing about Iniesta that’s most impressive is he knows when to do these and when to just pass and play simple. Some people will do these and get tackled because they pick the wrong moment. He always does everything to perfection.
I’ve noticed that this video has gained some traction over the past few days - I haven’t posted a video in a while like this as I have been in iso with covid. Nevertheless I’m currently working on a “tips” video when it comes to defending. Stay tuned guys 💪
Love love your content! I had a chance to watch Iniesta playing in Japan, every single time he holds a ball, the entire stadium calms down as if everyone doesn’t want to miss very moment of his brilliance.
Thanks po yo, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You're so lucky to have watched him play. I can just imagine my eyes glowing as he touches the ball during the stadiums' silence. He truly is something else when it comes to carrying the ball.
This is good. Also Coutinho and especially prime Coutinho is a worth player to analyse his playstyle. I remember adopting many midfielders playstyle and training hard to make myself a very own unique playstyle before going to a friendly tour. It didn't work out for me there and all of these training I did I thought I needed to do more. But playing against better technical and game knowledge opponents really gave me experience. When I came back to home, out of nowhere I was playing like a pro. Having the unconscious mind knowledge of when to dribble and pass, I was a complete different player. At that time I realised that experience is key. Adding experience with hard work will make you better player. Before the tour I didn't knew the importance of experience, after coming back, my body started doing the best things out of nowhere.
This is 100% true - I don’t know if you know about the “Zone of Proximal Development” - but what it means is that in order to better yourself, you have to be doing something that is harder than what you were previously doing. So going out and playing against more tough/fast/intense/technical/tactical players is only going to make you more tough/fast/intense/technical/tactically better. Thanks for your comment bro, I’m glad you enjoyed the content 🤩
Hey @farmeroffiziell, thanks for your feedback. Yes, I’m working on it with the next video I’m doing, I hope the visuals look a lot better I’m glad you enjoyed the analysis as well 🙌
great video, I am a young spanish midfielder playing at a semi professional level. Trying to push to a professional level.. and this video really helped me to know how to refine the skills that I haven’t full developed

I think most useful skill is to make a sheild or we can say that protect the ball from defender by your body It is use by Xavi who is MASTER of it !!!..
Yeah mate 100% - having the ball on your safe side is imperative. However, lateral ball skills SHIFT the ball to the safe side away from an incoming tackle.
Some kids are saying Neymar is good at dribbling skills. He can’t perform even a single dribble move like Iniesta do against the giant opponents in same pressure situations Imo
Don’t get me wrong - Neymar is a great technical player, and he is probably one of the best dribblers in the game. IMO, he doesn’t match Iniesta one bit - iniestas explosiveness on the ball to perform a skill/dribble is 2nd to none 💪
You have a video where his teamate at that time Etoo told that Iniesta was the best player of Barcelona and it was the best team that we ever saw-players like Ronaldinho, Messi, Xavi, etc.... played with him.
That’s exactly right my friend - he was a quiet achiever, the backbone of the team with not that many people recognising his talent until later on in his career. He surely is one of the greatest 🤩
Of course if you are under pressure, naturally your instincts will kick in - however this doesn’t take away the fact that ronaldo spent his time after almost every training session (at United) practising simple ball mastery skills like the chop and stepovers If you watch the motivational story I put up on my channel about how ronaldo would practise the inside outsides (I covered this skill in this video) by dribbling the field 8 times over means that you can never have too much practise
Iniesta got his passing game from Ronaldinho . All the passing game that Iniesta is doing it's straight up wat Ronaldinho used to do going all the way back from the 2002wc. Those twist n turns those long passes from midfield those poke passes they r all a copy from the master Ronaldinho
Yeah I wanted to pick one thing about Iniesta - after 100 hours deducted it to three factors, iniestas off the ball movements, his passing or his lateral movements. Thought lateral movements were the most interesting and it’s not very common for a midfielder to have a high take on ability
Abi, thank you so much for your comment and suggestion 🙌🤩 I am currently creating a doco styled-video on Ronaldo but am definitely looking into doing one with Messi for sure 😉

The tutorial is pointless. I mean, it's not because it will improve your control technique (if you practice it on a daily basis for years) but you will not dribble your opponents in the midfield once you've learned these tricks if you couldn't before: it's a matter of timing, prediction and instinct much more than owning technical skills: you don't think, your body does it. You got it or not. And, above all, this is just Iniesta's way, not THE way. There just isn't a single, correct way.

Of course all players have their own unique style and ability - this was just a general take on lateral movements as I found them very interesting. That is why I covered lateral movements, and the importance for midfielders to have at least a few in their tool kits.
@@SavvyFutbol Yes, these are basically the foundamentals they teach every kid from day one: I ain't saying they are not correct (they are) or you shouldn't have shown them: I just find them somewhat unrelated (or just partially related) to the topic. For example, when talking about dribbling, first thing that comes to my mind is the distance between the foot and the ball, and the ball and the opponent: best dribblers always have glue on their shoes.
