Me,personally have never cared much for Too Faced eyeshadow due to the scents and the one pink or purple that seems so just thrown in like the factory is having a sale on those colors to just get rid of them! Also, inflation is probably hitting these corporations as well and they are compromising quality and packaging in an effort to keep investors happy. The only high end palette I purchased these year was the ABH Rose Metals pallete and I live it! I couldn't wait long enough for Alter Ego to dupe so I bit the bullet and I have to say I am glad I did!
Jen, I just purchased the beautiful DOLL 10 x JEN PHELPS brush collection, which is absolutely gorgeous. I love how soft the bristles are, and they are the most beautiful brushes I own. So artfully done, and a pleasure to use. I also bought the DollSquad 2.0 eyehshadow palette. Looking forward to playing with that.

I have the “Ghost Town” and have really enjoyed it this Fall. Have tended toward the greens, but will be using other colors in the palette when my wardrobe colors change. Nice blendable formula.
You always create the Prettiest looks! I have tried to replicate them but for some reason mine always turn out darker. I need to get the Nomad and 11:11 pallets. They are both so beautiful. I just have to wait until after the holidays if they are still around. That ND pallet was an easy skip for me. You can only wear those shades some many times. It’s not a versatile pallet. I rather have a nice neutral every day pallet than something like that one. ❤️❤️🤍❤️😘😘
I've been trying to decide on the ND I need a Nude or the CP 11:11 since they came out. Now this has me considering putting the $ just towards both CP but Lord do I want to own a Natasha Denona. The struggle is real ! Lol Esp. in this economy & the holidays! Glad you're back & feeling better ! ♡
I wasn’t a fan of the cloud 9 pallet. Mine felt dry and the shimmers weren’t very impressive to me. I ended up returning. Thanks for a great video! Happy Holidays!
This was fun to watch just a little kick off to end the year on. My favorite of 2023 would have to be from Adept their inspired palette and one I regret purchasing would be Nomad Royal Europe. The shimmers/multichromes were not great compared to my other single shades. I ended up getting rid of it even though the mattes were fine.
i love the Ghost town pallet .. i live in Montana ….and Garnet isn’t far from me… 😂❤ i’m 70, and love all the looks especially the natural neutrals and like a little pop as well.. 😊

Hi Jen it amazes me that orange, peach, terracotta etc are considered neutral shades - aren’t they just warm? It’s something I hear all over youtube and just mystifies me. As an extremely cool toned person they do not look neutral on me😂 (they make me look ill tbh). In any case your top 5 and bottom 5 were interesting picks. I really like the midi Xenon but as stated I am very strongly cool toned (plus ultra pale). I like greys from the palest almost white to a deep charcoal and I wear a lot of grey. I’m not surprised many people don’t like it however and it is for a specific section of consumers tbh. It was never going to be universally flattering and most of her other palettes have a lot of warmth and peaches everywhere. Best wishes x
My CT palette glitters are very pigmented. Not as glittery as space cowboy but I get a lot on my finger. Definitely a little gritty though. That's strange!

I wanted to buy Natasha Denona's I Need a Nude palette, particularly after all of the UA-cam hype from my favorite influencers, but when I saw it in person with all of the glitter toppers, I was disappointed. It's too expensive to buy if I'm not going to use all of the shades. Colour Pop does more for me with its shimmers. Looking forward to trying the Nomad and Doll Squad palettes instead.

Were any of the shades from the 11:11 palette from colourpop a little ashe? I wanted to buy the i need a nude paleete from ND. However, i went to sephora and swatched the palette and 3 of the matte shades looked ashe on my medium plive skin tone. It looks like the 11:11 palette has less of those shades so i just want to compare, maybe i will biy this one instead.

I gasped when you swatched the chunky glitter in the Tarte Big Ego palette 😬 I just got the ND Zenon palette and I love it 💃🏿 Nomad and Colourpop are such great brands! I love their palettes. You looked so lovely❤❤
I just received the What's Up Beauty Dragon Eye palette and I already think I love it. Such a gorgeous presentation for a well formulated color story! I've had my eye on Cloud 9 because it looks so similar to Stone Cold Fox but I just never use my Mega CP palettes that often but it also seems silly for me to buy a palette that I basically have to just use the smaller version.
I know I'm probably the odd one out on this but...I actually really like Luminoso 😮 I usually wear pretty light looks, and never really use any super dark shades, or mattes, so it's perfect for me. I think it captures the essence of the blush, with the light, glowy feel. I actually used to wear the blush as eyeshadow before the palette was released. Plus when I want to wear a bold lip, it's my go to for this reason. Sometimes I wear the shimmers as one and done too. P.S. Yes, I have their older palettes like Soft and Sultry, and no this formula isn't like those, but I still enjoy Luminoso😅 ❤🥂💃🎉🎄
You are not the only one. I like that one too. I think the shadows are a beautiful complement to blue eyes. I love the resulting soft glam look when worn with the other products in the Luminoso collection.
I wish Milani would bring back their old formula on the eyeshadows!! I used to have the passion palette and it was my favorite!! So beautiful!! I am so amused over all the "Made in Italy" US-only palettes, that we who live in EUROPE cannot get our hands on :D (looking ESPECIALLY at you, Dragon Eye...)
I am not an ND fan, so I was not shocked about her all Grey pallete being in the bottom 5. But, from a confessed Nomad Addict, I was THRILLED to see them in your top 5! I have most of their palletes even tho I don't typically wear a lot of bright colors. I tend to use neutral mattes with bright shimmers, and they have the best! They also just released a 6-pan neutral pallete that is ah-mazing!
I like ND, but 50 shades of grey is not stunning, the looks are lighter or darker, and they can look great, but to get 'different' looks, you need to add other palettes.... but I have to say, working it with a bright rainbow palette, or even a muted palette, you can get so many looks!!
I was so happy to hear that the Ghost Town USA palette is a permanent palette! I wasn't able to pick it up this year, but I'm hoping I'll be able to pick it up in the future. That Dragon's Eye palette is also on my list so hopefully I'm able to pick it up soon. CLoud 9 is gorgeous as well.
My first Vlogmas! Im so excited. I love your picks, im surprised the Huda Pretty Grunge didn’t make your list, I get the feeling you were really disappointed in that palette. My daughter gifted it to me and im loving it, tho I find a lot of my looks so come out dark. My absolute faves this year are the I need a nude, pretty grunge, and the Patrick Ta major dimensions III. I enjoyed Jen's video on Pretty Grunge. I'd love to get it, but, since a third of the shades are shimmers, and I don't use shimmers much, I've resisted. But oh, such beautiful mattes! Especially the pinks and purples!

I haven’t picked up Stone Cold Fox because of the warmer tones in it. I know I won’t use those. So I think Cloud 9 is perfect for me! As for my favorite eyeshadow palette this year - Colourpop Aurora Struck! It’s a cool toned, muted color dream palette! And while it has muted colors, it still has some deeper shades where I can get depth! I’ve used it CONSTANTLY since I got it! At first I wasn’t going to get it because it seemed colorful and I don’t wear a lot of colors all the time. But, since it looked more muted, I thought it might work well for me, and it definitely does! It’s great for my very fair, very cool toned skin! I can use every single shade in it! And that’s not often with eyeshadow palettes!
Oh yay, Vlogmas! I'm gonna be so spoiled! And I love that sweater on you! And I like what you did with your eye makeup too. I can't opine on palettes because I generally don't buy them. I don't like to unless I'm sure I'll use all, or maybe all but one, of the shades (depending on price.) And I don't use shimmers except on the inner corner of my eyes. And there aren't many all matte palettes out there. I'm surprised that Pretty Grunge wasn't one of your favorites. I seem to remember you liked it, but if there are better products out there, that's understandable. Would it be an Honorable Mention?
Yes!! Doll 10!! My most reached for pallet. The colors flatter and the eyeshadow STAYS PUT!! The pan size are huge! Will last me a long time. I use one of the shadows for a blush. Works like a dream!

I bought the Cloud 9 pallet for the light colors to mix with my ABH fall pallet because everything is very colorful.
Milani really had a phenomenal formula and said let’s scrap this and start over.

You are not the only one. I like that one too. I think the shadows are a beautiful complement to blue eyes. I love the resulting soft glam look when worn with the other products in the Luminoso collection.
I wish Milani would bring back their old formula on the eyeshadows!! I used to have the passion palette and it was my favorite!! So beautiful!! ( bring the 2 palettes you mentioned & new color stories in that old formula & packaging back PLEASE!!) ☹️💔 because now I didn’t even touch Milani eyeshadows … I just go to nyx or other affordable drugstore eyeshadow….
I loved the xenon and I need a nude but I love ND, but if you don’t do smoky eyes much, you are right mini Xenon would be perfect, the rest of your hits and misses were spot on, thank you for posting this

That ND gray palette looks like a big fail for me. Gray shadows don’t do anything good for my skin tone and that one is just a big huge no.

I am not an ND fan, so I was not shocked about her all Grey pallete being in the bottom 5. But, from a confessed Nomad Addict, I was THRILLED to see them in your top 5! I have most of their palletes even tho I don't typically wear a lot of bright colors. I tend to use neutral mattes with bright shimmers, and they have the best! They also just released a 6-pan neutral pallete that is ah-mazing!
I have to agree with Jen on the Xenon palette. So many of those shades look awfully similar.
I like ND, but 50 shades of grey is not stunning, the looks are lighter or darker, and they can look great, but to get 'different' looks, you need to add other palettes.... but I have to say, working it with a bright rainbow palette, or even a muted palette, you can get so many looks!!
I was so happy to hear that the Ghost Town USA palette is a permanent palette! I wasn't able to pick it up this year, but I'm hoping I'll be able to pick it up in the future. That Dragon's Eye palette is also on my list so hopefully I'm able to pick it up soon. CLoud 9 is gorgeous as well.

I love your picks, im surprised the Huda Pretty Grunge didn’t make your list, I get the feeling you were really disappointed in that palette. My daughter gifted it to me and im loving it, tho I find a lot of my looks so come out dark. My absolute faves this year are the I need a nude, pretty grunge, and the Patrick Ta major dimensions III.

I enjoyed Jen's video on Pretty Grunge. I'd love to get it, but, since a third of the shades are shimmers, and I don't use shimmers much, I've resisted. But oh, such beautiful mattes! Especially the pinks and purples!

I didn’t buy any eyeshadow palettes this year.
I got the DollSquad palette and LOVE IT!! I reach for it a lot- I agree the formulations are fantastic and long lasting.
I haven’t picked up Stone Cold Fox because of the warmer tones in it. I know I won’t use those. So I think Cloud 9 is perfect for me! As for my favorite eyeshadow palette this year - Colourpop Aurora Struck! It’s a cool toned, muted color dream palette! And while it has muted colors, it still has some deeper shades where I can get depth! I’ve used it CONSTANTLY since I got it! At first I wasn’t going to get it because it seemed colorful and I don’t wear a lot of colors all the time. But, since it looked more muted, I thought it might work well for me, and it definitely does! It’s great for my very fair, very cool toned skin! I can use every single shade in it! And that’s not often with eyeshadow palettes!

Oh yay, Vlogmas! I'm gonna be so spoiled! And I love that sweater on you! And I like what you did with your eye makeup too.
I can't opine on palettes because I generally don't buy them. I don't like to unless I'm sure I'll use all, or maybe all but one, of the shades (depending on price.) And I don't use shimmers except on the inner corner of my eyes. And there aren't many all matte palettes out there.
I'm surprised that Pretty Grunge wasn't one of your favorites. I seem to remember you liked it, but if there are better products out there, that's understandable. Would it be an Honorable Mention?
I was pretty disappointed in Pretty Grunge because I thought it would be cooler toned and it was so warm. Also it was very dark and smokey overall. :)

Yes!! Doll 10!! My most reached for pallet. The colors flatter and the eyeshadow STAYS PUT!! The pan size are huge! Will last me a long time. I use one of the shadows for a blush. Works like a dream!

My favourite of the year that I bought (thru your link) is definitely Natasha Denona I Need A Nude. I loved it so much I bought Glam. Very happy with both.
