I feel for the Shaman. It looks so much like someone who was just trying to put together a deck they liked or thought was interesting from the cards they had in their collection, ignoring or unaware of the meta and what all else lurks in the darkness of the world out there, and then this happens =P Like seeing someone rip the wings off of one of a moth or something. Sure, it's not as pretty as a butterfly, but it still looks terribly cruel. Toss in "And that's what happens when you don't give up" and it's even worse.
Trump was right though, it didnt seem like he had any way of beating trump after his deck main win condition(evolution) was destroyed, he kept going on and it was just a waste of time
I vaguely remembered that in the past throwing Acolytes into the Brawls for seemingly no reason was actually important to do sometimes. I (and Trump clearly) remembered about that way too late lol.
Yes, shuffling the Acolytes makes it less likely to draw the Shield Blocks. They also clutter the hand. I think he should have played the Acolytes so that no more than 1 of them is out at any given time, and then accept the annoyance of shuffling them when necessary. I think he panicked a little bit because he knew he didn't have any Coldlights, and so the Warlock would've been able to last a few turns, especially with the Lifesteal from his Hero Power. Since the Warlock was already out of a deck, though, Trump definitely didn't have to worry that much. Regarding the +15 armor card, yeah Shield Block is generally better for the endgame because of the card draw.
That's some sick psychology right there at the end. "How to make the viewers sit out till the end of the video? Let's just repeat a dank trump meme and put a timer next to it, that'll do the job!" It worked btw :(
@19:00 Yeah, there was no way to avoid that without finding a way to get rid of the Acolytes earlier. Opponent was always going to still have their Defiles left in this case.
Dear Trump, sometimes when you've assembled your hand for the shuffle, just use both DMHs... you'll have a third one in the deck, won't have to do clunky turns in the future to reshuffle, and thus won't have to worry about filling your hand with brawls either. When you carefully manage what armor gain and removal to keep and what to play in anticipation of the reshuffle three turns later, just... shuffle twice, stop worrying, and set up a coldlight oracle otk... works wonders for me. :)
Trump I will forever honor you for playing DMH so well. such a difficult deck to play, or at least I found. it requires such forethought which in turn requires you to be able predict very accurately how your opponent is going to play
This is pretty much the only deck I enjoy watching/playing these days, as the meta is all about cheating out minions you shouldn't be able to play yet. Glad to see Trump bringing it back.
I really like when you do these long videos because I can just lay down in me bed and watch you playing while I play myself without in need to change video one every 10 minutes, I would like you to do more :D
51:13 Blood Razor replacing Blood Razor draws two cards off a 1 health Acolyte of Pain AND fails to draw any cards for the opponent's Cult Masters despite killing two 1 health minions with the first razor's deathrattle before the second razor's battlecry killed the 4/2's. Wtf is going on here?
Because death is not checked during resolution of an event (like playing a card), only after the end of it. When playing the Blood Razor, death checking phase happens only after all nested events (in this case the destruction of the previous weapon and the battlecry of the new one) are resolved. This means it's possible to "overkill" an Acolyte to draw more, or a Bittertide Hydra to deal more damage than there's health. This is also why the Cult Master doesn't draw cards, because the death of those minions are not checked in between the deathrattle and battlecry of the Blood Razors. For the same reason, it's possible that a Knife Juggler throws knives at 0 health (if there's a minion like Imp Gang Boss that summons more minions on the board when damaged, and an AOE kills the Juggler while also damaging the Imp Gang Boss).
The reason that particular instance looked wrong though, is because the weapon undergoes a death event--deathrattle and all--in the middle of a phase. Weapon replacement still uses an immediate death event exclusively for the old weapon, rather than marking it pending destroy and letting it die in the next death creation step along with those minions.
From what I've heard weapons can be marked "pending destroy" by Ooze and such, and supposedly that's a relatively new change (KFT), but it clearly doesn't extend to weapon replacement yet, (and I haven't even seen much documented on it anywhere else either). Perhaps it'll be implemented more in-depth later on. But we generally don't know what is "intended" when it comes to Hearthstone rules. We can only say that it seems wrong when one thing dies and undergoes a deathrattle while other mortally wounded things remain on the board.
Mad respect. I like the deck, and you seem like a cool guy. I haven't seen anyone else play it, or even play Warrior lately for that matter. So thanks for being different. I seriously don't want to watch someone play Jade Druid and Raza priest a million times till they hit rank 1. This is way better.
"It would change nothing" - as he plays a deck that somewhat relies on being able to do one damage to minions and then do AOE to all of them. Even one armor would be significant, but imagine more. Might not be a huge change as that's a pretty specific circumstance, but it would definitely make this deck even less like to make it anywhere in the ranks.
At 15:00, why not push the button (2), swing for the cube, equip blood razor (4), execute the two giants (2+2) for a total of 10 mana? Game over. Or am I missing something?
New legendary card for warlock : apply discard a card efect to all card on your deck. If you discard card with discard a card efect summon deamon with 5/7 stats with charge
That two acolyte play in fatigue against cubelock when the only thing he needed to do to win was wait to the opponent die to fatigue was one of the worst plays I have ever seen, omg
This deck is damn hard to play... One of the most complicated decks to pilot, it's a very thin balance between not dying/drawing/building your new DMH deck u will use late game that should contain enough removal/draw/armor gain. The last part is the most challenging keeping in mind you also need to constantly clear opponent's board, often u will find uself with dead man's hand without enough draw/armor/removal... But honestly I believe this deck, if piloted correctly, can win almost ANY match up :P
How does this deck beat combo? Specifically exodia mage? It seems to me that is you don't get extremely lucky with milling the antonidas off a coldlight oracle, then there is no way to win. That is part of the reason I liked the dirty rats in the original deck. If you couldn't burn antonidas, then you could always try to preemptively pull him out of the opponents hand.

And hour of DMH? Must have played two matches lol
Close, he just queued into a mirror
FunkyKillerJim this must only be part one of 5 then for that match.
Tom O'Brien sounds like one of them conceded early then

Thaddeus Genhelm Honestly from the way he was playing and the rank I thought he was a bot
Trump was right though, it didnt seem like he had any way of beating trump after his deck main win condition(evolution) was destroyed, he kept going on and it was just a waste of time
Oh, sure, though the fact that he's certainly not wrong doesn't make it less sad =P
Unless it actually was a bot. Then it deserved it
It seems like the learning curve never ends with this deck.
I love Dead Mans Hand Warrior, Keep it coming Trump!
Plot twist, Jen only took the job as the channel editor so he could secretly troll Trump.
That is some dedication right there.
Man Jens is really up to standards with his life goals.
I tried sleeping, but this fucking outro waked me up
THROWING GAMES 101: Play 3 Acolyte of Pain into Defile when you have no more cards.

Deathrattles of replaced weapons trigger mid-phase, instead of waiting for the death creation step like minions.

Trump's so good at DMH Warrior that he can even beat classes they added to the game overnight, wow!
Love the long dead mans vids
As a general question which version you think is better to climb with, the normal dead man's or n'zoth variant?
Do you use an addon or something like that for the music while you play?
At 15:00, why not push the button (2), swing for the cube, equip blood razor (4), execute the two giants (2+2) for a total of 10 mana? Game over. Or am I missing something?

Guess who's back..
Gosh, Dead Man's Hand plays hurt my feeble mind :D

This is a genuine doubt..... Dead mans hand warrior vs kingsbane mill rogue.. Who would win?
Warrior in 2k18?
Replacement for scourgelord garrosh?

I've been seriously wanting to ask this for a while.. but what's with the super creepy circus clown music?
Can anyone tell me why bring it on isn't in this deck ?

One full hour of misplays! Evening is saved
Man, that game against shaman was miserable, holy shit
How does dead man's hand beat kingsbane mill?
The massive misplay on the warlock...sheesh.

And why do you never use Shadow Mourne. It seems like you are saving it for massive value or something, but you always end up just replacing it.

Here we go again!
I'd really like to know where Trump gets his bg music
A lot of it comes from WC3 and WoW.
but why have only one dmh?
Man, i wouldve loved to see shy guys fly in and take away trump at the end :(
omg, acolyte....incredible throw
Poor Shamans. They almost went somewhere with Evolve but now they're just drowning in the bottom. I think they're even worse than hunter, now.
Against Rinlock, keeping Rin alive is key until you can fully manipulate your deck. When you can keep your deck empty at will and keep two Executes for the two Azari's, they will get no value whatsoever.
Twisted Fate DMH does counter rin and trump apparently didn’t get the memo.
Exactly what I said. You keep your deck empty against Azari and use DMH once he is played. Keep an Execute shuffled in and you win by default.
You can also play coldlight when they are with 8 or 9 cards in hand and then kill Rin, so they burn the seal
