*Both the Birchall's were taken to hospital. Tom was bruised up pretty bad but no really bad injuries . Ben suffered serious damage to his right hand that has required various operations . Suffice to say they were out of the racing for that year’s TT.. They have won almost every year since then.
The sidecar racing is possibly even more insane than the solo races!
It's honestly so dumb 😂 I would never let someone else be in control of my life in a race like that , solo is way better
This is just asking for trouble imo , I think average of 2 deaths per race ?
2 because the side car guy dies everytime 😂
At least in solo racing some passenger doesn't needlessly die cause of a driver mistake smh
Isle of Man TT / Irish Road Motorcycle racers have a rusty nail in their head, but how screwed do you have to be to pe the passenger guy in those? I mean, the amount of trust between driver and co-pilot must be enormous!

First TT way back in 85 on the LC, clipped the same bit of wall, stayed on, but couldnt feel my fingers going into Glen Helen proper, Ouch,
When I was stationed in England, my wife and a I watched a lot of motorcycle/sidecar racing at Mallory Park. Sidecars are pretty exciting!

I think it's the stupidest form of racing , if they crash 2 people die except one of them is innocent and not at fault , solo racing is better at least if they crash and die a passenger doesnt get taken with em
Just adrenaline junkies at the end of the day , which is true for most racing but idk it's just dumb , so much needless deaths happen in sidecar racing

We are the official sidecar media partner of the Isle of Man TT. The races are shown around the world on various tv channels. In our region it is shown on ITV4 .
@@3Wheeling being an official channel of the sport. Dont you think you should have let your viewers and enthusiasts know that the racers were alright somehow? Or are you working for the sport of trying to lure people who just want to casually watch fatalities? or racing the TT? Especially if you're an official channel. Sports maybe dangerous but that's not what makes it watchable it's the great competition and competitors dont you think?

One of them had a bad hand injury but they raced again last year and won again for the 10th time.

They got back to racing at the TT. In 2019 they scored a double victory making it 10 wins in a row.

What is the point in the guy in the back
since the bike has three wheels and ""square"" tires his role is to keep the balance of the bike while cornering by shifting his weight across the back of the bike.
