Hi everyone! if you want a more tangy taste to the cheese, ADD SOUR CREAM to the mixture. half-milk/half-sour cream. I experimemted on that because I like dips to be tangy as it brings out the real cheesy taste. IT'S SO GOOD. HEAVEN ON EARTH OMG!!
There's something called poutine. It's fries, cheese and gravy.Name doesn't sound very appetizing but if you've ever seen a picture of that you'd want to eat it right away.
Wow, that was really easy! For some reason I thought Nacho Cheese would take a really long time to make! There is no excuse now! haha, thanks for sharing Joanne! xx
Fifteen Spatulas None of that fake cheese business, this is the real deal. Looks fantastic Joanne. I really liked your stills at the end, you do lovely food photography.
oh my god thank you for the most simplest cheese sauce recipe. The rest ive watched are so bloody long and just.. unnecessarily complicated. Thanks alot haha!
I love you. I didnt do the exact recipe but it still turned out great, your tips helped me for just a simple cheese sauce on my nachos, thank you so much for your existence!
OMG been after this cheese for years I though it was a specific cheese they use to get the runny texture! turns out I had the ingredients in my house for many years! You my friend are a LIFE SAVER because am just too obsessed with nachos!!!!!!!!!! new subbieeeee
It's a great sauce! I've just made it, it's delicious, but i have the feeling that you can feel the flower in it, as if is not "melted", even tough i put a little more milk, to make sure it disolves well. Any advice, please? Thank you!
I like that you take the time to grate a block of cheese for this recipe instead of shortcutting it with shredded cheese. Companies who produce shredded cheese use powdered cellulose (wood pulp) and anti-fungals to prevent clumping and spoilage.
+Kim Donovan Thanks, I always grate my own cheese. It's worth the effort! It's also extra important for this recipe because the wood pulp is there to help the cheese not clump together, but if you use pre-shredded cheese, the sauce won't be smooth.
Oooh I have to try this, you don't see tgis method often in Australia, but I just fell in love with pickled jalapeños and now I must make the best Nahoes!
@thetacopancake please change your privacy settings so people can reply directly =) To answer your question, you can use whatever salt you have, just season to taste. The pepper is to taste also, so you can leave that out.
I made this put used already shredded cheese and no spices and it still turned out so delicious and thank for the nacho cheese recipe p.s. I never measured anything but the flour lol
I have 6 kids and we are always trying out your ideas :) fantastic video, awesome blogs, thank you so much for helping me in the kitchen and PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING! YOU ARE AMAZING :) btw, the cheese is freaking delicious!
Loved reading your comment!! My husband is one of 5 boys so I know what it's like to be around lots of family. I'm glad you all have fun in the kitchen together!! Happy cooking =)
Oh wow!!! You saved the day Fifteen Spatulas...I am trying to stay away from process foods and I was wondering how could I make this...Yes, no more Velvetta!!!! #NewSubscriber
It really helped me I have been searching for over 3 days now for the easy recipe and it was all a bundle of crap so thank U very very very very very much
This was beautiful! But only, when I added the one cup of milk, it still was very thick so I had to add more. Overall, it was the best by far and the easiest. Thanks!
Thanks! Store in an airtight container. Then, only reheat the sauce on the stovetop in a pan. Microwaving doesn't go well. Also, you may need to add 2 tbsp or so of water to the cheese and whisk, just to restore the smooth texture. I will type this up in the recipe instructions =)
I did it with 2oz cheese and it came out hard i added more butter and 1oz of cheese and it turned out great ,.......thanks for the video it really helped me make a snack for my family
i think u guys have different cheddar in america than here in australia, ours isn't that orange- its light yellow and crumbly, not the processed perfectly smooth stuff u guys get, and dosent melt so easily. my sauce comes out like a weird fondue - really oily and claggy . I thank american cheddar is another thing altogether. I know some people say american cheese isn't real cheese- but i like both to be honest- dang really craving that american cheese flavor- i know its bad - but thats why its sooooooo good!!
hey fifteen spatulas! I tried this recipe with regular cheese, But then it came out sticky and cheese bits are not yet melted. I added milk and cooked it until it the cheese melted and it came out well! Thanks for the recipe
its funny cuz i was trying to make nacho cheese sauce then i found this video, and now im using ur recipe. also ur really stunning. thanks for the recipe ☺
That moment when the heat is too high and you forgot to grate the cheese, so you grate it and return to a dried up, crispy, blobby, buttery mess. Or if you are missing one essential ingredient at the end
Mine came out kind of sticky the texture doesn't seem right is it maybe because I didn't add enough milk or maybe it is because i used white cheedar cheese any ideas?
+The bangarang Depends... Some of the "pre-shredded" cheeses are processed to some degree to prevent the cheese from "sticking" back together again. This is most likely your problem. Simply shred or cube up a proper cheese.
turned out well for me! i used half cheddar and half pepper jack. i think i had a little too much rue, but that didn't affect it too much. i added in some sauteed onion, bells, and chile. served it in an iron skillet with tomato and cilantro on top. could have used a couple more shakes of cayenne i think.
Melissa Tiamzon but then it hardens in like 2 seconds, as opposed to 2 minutes like most nachos. Seriously the only way to do nachos is at home with the sauce still on heat.
I attempted this what I made doesn't even look edible
made my night lol
Hi everyone!

+Buubuuu Doudou Got7
if you out shredded cheese on nachos and set it in the microwave for a minute then you get cheesy nachos.
You can get some nachos, put them on a plate, sprinkle cheese on top, microwave for 20-30 seconds, and voilá :D
Wow, that was really easy! For some reason I thought Nacho Cheese would take a really long time to make! There is no excuse now! haha, thanks for sharing Joanne! xx

Awesome recipe! By the way, what is your suggested way of storing this awesome cheese sauce and how to reheat the sauce. Thanks!
Thanks! Store in an airtight container. Then, only reheat the sauce on the stovetop in a pan. Microwaving doesn't go well. Also, you may need to add 2 tbsp or so of water to the cheese and whisk, just to restore the smooth texture. I will type this up in the recipe instructions =)

I make nacho cheese by just melting the cheese and applying them on the nachos XD
Melissa Tiamzon but then it hardens in like 2 seconds, as opposed to 2 minutes like most nachos. Seriously the only way to do nachos is at home with the sauce still on heat.
