Thank you for reacting! Love your channel!❤🙏🤗 Austin Brown...you outdid yourself!!😢 My heart and soul were crying...in a sad and beautiful way! Your voice is incomparable! God bless you!🙏❤🎶😇
@austinbrown this brought tears to my eyes! Such a beautiful heartfelt song and you did a stunning job!!! Can't wait to hear your voice in person in Edmonton, Alberta in May!!!!
You made this Irish heart happy Austin...this was my dear old dad's fav song. I loved this arrangement sung with such warmth and feeling. thanks so much for taking the time to post here on Lyle's channel. Best 'Reactor' in Australia. It is because of him that I found Home Free. Sending oceans of love from Australia ps a special shout out to Sebastien on keyboard wow that hauntingly beautiful intro was something else
Austin is just a gift for us. That voice singing that song, is heavenly. This was one of the songs my mother had in will to be played at her memorial service. I wish I had had this version to play. Mom's name was Mary Claire Clements new Calhoun. She was proud of her Scots-Irish blood. My ancestor came from Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, and emigrated to the US in 1849, and settled in south part of Georgia
Sebastián did so perfect in blending with Austin. My mom and granny sang this when I was little, such Beautiful memories. Thanks for helping me to relive them.
What can I possibily say about this performance???? There are not enough adjectives available to say how I feel right now, just a few moments into this song and tears were running down my face. So stunnungly beautiful, no other words will so.
Before you started the video I knew you would watch it at least twice, I could watch/ listen to this all day. I would love Austin to put out an album of all these wonderful songs he has been singing for us. Austin and Home Free have kept me sane this last 18 months and I thank them every day X
Must Austin always leave me wanting more? Wish he had done another verse. Thanks for the reaction and I love that you never depart from Home Free and Austin. Cheers!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Staying awake for this tonight. Can't wait to see your face on those first words. 50/50 chance he'll make you cry AND replay. Can't wait to share this experience with you.
Ya know, when I first heard this I counted 15 breaths. Fifteen breaths in 2 minutes! Okay, maybe he took an extra one or two between lines but still. Now with the benefit of hearing it twice in a row in your excellent reaction, I love it when you do that btw, I counted again and it was only 14! Again, maybe he snuck in a couple more but the lyrics were definitely delivered, and with wide ranging dynamics from nuance to powerhouse, in 14 friggin' breaths! And as is often the case with Austin and with Home Free, there is now a new definitive version of a classic. I swear. A lot.
For me the secret of this beautiful version is the chord Sebastien softly holds from start to finish. It’s like a warm bath for the keys and Austins voice to flowd on. So delicate 💞
Austin's use of silence and quiet in this arrangement is what amazes me. He doesn't give in to the temptation to stuff it with sound as many arrangements do. He creates a sense of melancholy in those quiet spaces between the notes, like a home that's suddenly quiet and empty in the absence of one of your loved ones. I also love his choice to use his natural accent and not suppress it.
This was spectacular this rendition by The Great Austin Brown left me breathless that voice is out of this world the way that he sang this song left me breathless and on top of that I had goosebumps and chills at the same time another masterpiece by Austin
I knew this would make you cry! Beautiful arrangement. The starkness of the music and quiet just amplify the emotion in his voice. Going in you KNOW how talented he is, but he draws you in with a riveting performance. Austin isn't just a singer. He is a performer that doesn't leave your heart untouched. He is a one of a kind storyteller.
Sung with such warmth and feeling. this was my dear old dad's fav song....and at every family get together we'd all sing it...and dad would wipe away tears....even when we sang out of key....lol How fantastic that Austin took the time to post here...he's such a sweetheart. I loved that hauntingly beautiful intro from Sebastien on keyboard...wow
This was absolutely phenomenal version of this song. I truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song. I also agree that his voice is absolutely getting better.
Breathtakingly stunning. I too love Austin's lower range so much! There's so much depth and emotion in it. Wonderful reaction, L! And yes, please do Signed, Sealed, Delivered soon! It's a completely different side of Austin and it's sooo good and full of life and joy! 😁🙏☺️🥰
Holy Moly was not the first words out of my mouth. The feelings that Austin brings to memory songs is the best memory lane I can have in my life. How grateful I am for having him and Home Free in my life. Sebastien (sorry for the spelling) is an amazing artist and together they leave me speechless every time. So happy I discovered your reaction group.
If I had 10 thumbs I would give it 10 thumbs up! lol (Thankfully, I don't) Austin's rendition is so beautiful! He sang it with so much emotion and heart! His voice is perfect for this song! So glad you replayed it! I am pretty certain you are on his radar! Many of his superfine post reactors' videos of his music, and yours always chosen! Loved your reaction! No need to apologize for getting emotional. I think it's perfectly normal and shows your heart! You stay safe and take care, too!
Austin did comment on this. Rightfully so. I love how they just pop in every once in awhile on the reactors pages. We know they (Tim, Austin, and sometimes Chance) comment.
I'm so glad you mentioned Austin's improving vocals ( and, yes, how is that possible??) I really feel like all the Home Free fellas really stepped up their gamed during the lockdown. I don't know if it was just that they all got a chance to rest and focus, or what... But, damn, you can't deny it. They are better, individually and together. I feel so blessed to have their music in my life.
@@georgebarnes8163 In 1910, in Bath, Somerset, the English lawyer and lyricist Frederic Weatherly initially wrote the words to "Danny Boy" to a tune other than "Londonderry Air". After his IRISH-born sister-in-law Margaret Enright Weatherly (known as Jess) in the United States sent him a copy of "Londonderry Air" in 1913 (an alternative version of the story has her singing the air to him in 1912 with different lyrics), Weatherly modified the lyrics of "Danny Boy" to fit the rhyme and meter of "Londonderry Air" You're not thinking at all! Is there anyone out there that is not truly surprised every time Austin opens his mouth to sing a new song. Every time I think 🤔 Austin has reached his best, I hear a new cover, and I am pleasantly surprised 😲 about how wonderful he is.
Pat, I don't think you blinked after Austin hit that first low note! I don't blame you, I didn't either! Austin sings this the way only he can, absolutely pitch perfect, yet with all of the emotion that this song needs. I can't listen to it enough times!
Austin has such a warm, smooth, velvety voice and Sebastian is just great with his piano playing. Love the song but way too short. Thanks for the reaction.
So grateful bro! Twas a joy and all the credit to Sébastien Douyon for helping me get this to a place that made me feel like myself🙏❤

When Austin brings out his emotional voice...it really tugs at the heart! Absolutely loved it and your reaction!

This haunts me in the most wonderful way. Every time I listen to it it just stays in my head repeating over and over.

Absolutely beautiful! It calls to my Scots Irish blood!
Beautiful Austin.
His rendition of this song is hauntingly, captivating beauty. He touched you emotionally.
If you want more tears, watch Austin sing "Tears in Heaven". There are no words other than unbelievably beautiful! Sandy in Palm Springs.
Beautiful and emotional rendition. Austin is not just a singer, he’s an artist. Thanks for the reaction!

Austin did an amazing job on this❤️ It's one of my favorites 💖 Peter Hollens does a great cover of it too‼️
Love love love this song from Austin Brown!! He is so awesome. Sensational, also his pianist. xx

My Irish heart is smiling wide and my eyes are a bit weepy. Love your reaction to this epic song.
Thought the Irish hated anything English?

I wanted to listen to it again, as well! Wow!
I love this song & Austin's rendition is amazing. Don't really know what else to say!
Beautiful!!
I love this song, just wish it could be longer. I presume it has more verses. Your reaction was great! You were obviously moved by it!

I agree, this is the best version
So good and I loved the piano playing too. Goodness! Austin is amazing.
I just loved his rendition.

Amazing…truly a God given talent
Just beautiful!
No Irish accent but sounded amazing with a bit of country twang.
Why would he want to have an Irish accent when singing?
@@georgebarnes8163 it was just an observation. Of course Austin doesn't have an Irish accent. Heard this is so many old movies with Irish singers.
@@georgebarnes8163 why do you like to stir the pot? You did it on my post too.
Check out Peter Hollins version and Eric Clapton's acoustic cover of Danny Boy! As always, Austin takes your breath away!
the acoustic cover is called the Londonderry Air, that is the melody which the English lyrics of Danny Boy (F) and Eily Dear (M) are put to.
Thanks for sharing! I only wish Austin had sung the second verse, too! It's quite moving!
Very nice. I just wish it was the whole song. Beautifully done.
Yeah - "Holy Moly, wow!" pretty much covers it.
Why didn't he sing the whole song? The whole meaning behind the song is revealed at the end of the song.
