Nice looking terrain and aromatic as well. It's funny how things go full circle. When I started painting miniatures one of my first attempts at groundwork on a base used Oregano as scatter. 40 years later and it appears to be back in vogue!
Cheers Lee, yeah, sometimes the old techniques are the best... However, the smell can be a bit overpowering...
Yup, in 1979 my first diorama-build was a bayside fort whose land approaches were appareled in Mom's carraway seed as a ground cover. Most fragrant!
Edible herbal terrain - yummy. Good job.
Thank you, although you'll soon get over the smell of the herbs... 😂😂
This video was fantastic. I need jungle terrain for my Pacific Bolt Action armies and this is perfect. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm trying to find trees for a Congo project but once I find them I'll use this method... works well
Cheers Tim, it's a nice easy way of getting terrain on the table!
Those look great. Alex. 👍 Nice clear tutorial, and a really nice end result.
Cheers buddy! I am glad you liked the video!
Thumbs up. Try this instead of the spices:
In the fall go out and collect a bunch of dry fallen leaves. Blend/grind em up and you got great ground foliage.
Thanks, the problem with leaves is that they are very crumbly and small, spices are more like small sticks so have more integrity.
These look like they would work well. I've been trying to find some new sets as my old Vietnam ones are falling apart. I can't really complain mind, they have done me well and over 20years old!
Cheers, they are easy enough to make and really fill up the table nicely.
I was wondering how to tree-scape for the Cuban Rebellion, Spanish American and Philipines wars. Raring to get started--thank you!
Cheers! I am glad it was useful!
Beautifully done Alex
Thank you! Glad you liked them!
These are great, thank you for sharing.
Thanks Stu!
Great tutorial!
Thank you!
This is great stuff! I can see using this for more temperate climates. Also, did you go back to the old intro?
Thank you, I am glad it was useful! Ha ha, no that is just a relic from when this video was originally edited... It's probably the last time you'll see it.
My mistake, there's a few more coming with the old style intro, but they will be the last ones.
Amazing video, question though. Don't the herbs and stuff rot in a while? I know nothing about food so excuse the stupid question. I want to use this method but want to make sure these materials will last.
Thanks. The herbs are already dried and then sealed in with the PVA so they should last a good few years. If that's not the case you could always rebase it anyway if it ever happens.
@@StormofSteelWargaming thanks for the reply, I'll be trying this out for my jungle bases and also showed all my friends ur vid! Keep it up and thanks again
thank you
You're welcome
Very nice. Where did you get the palm trees ?
Thanks, I thought I mentioned in the video I found them on EBay. Maybe I forgot to mention it.
Where did you get the plants and trees from?
