Your creativity is absolutely insane. How you can create something so comprehensive that looks like it belongs in its own world, just out of spare bits is just mind boggling to me. Amazing!
It is so amazing what you create using bits and bobs from spray bottles and such. You must have the cleanest hand around, going through so many pump soap dispensers. 😜 Keep creating.
I’m so glad Gert sent me your way, your creations are amazing and don’t diss your paint jobs or weathering. This is scratch bashing and imagination at its best. Loved it.
I like the channel "Bill Making Stuff", it does what it says on the tin. I also like that saying. As an American I find it novel and charming. Keep up the good work! Sub well earned :) Wait.. am I supposed to be mean? Ok fine, "Bill, you are a butt." Gotem coach, count it. Cheers!
This sort of reminds me of the Exo-Squad cartoon's mech suit vehicles. It also reminds me of the Maschinen Krieger model kit suits. Cool stuff. Keep it up.
Each time the transformation from bits of plastic to the finished object is a surprise to me. How I love those techniques of painting, weathering and highlightning!
I think you did a really great with the paint job, but for some reason I kinda loved the way it looked without paint lol. Like an all white mech with rainbow bedazzled rivets, theres something I havent seen before. That aside, you've taught me some cool tricks in this video. I watch a lot of videos of people gluing together garbage, and you're quickly becoming one of my favorite garbage gluers. Keep making stuff Bill!
Hi Bill. Just found your videos via miscast. Started kitbashing a year ago. Moving somewhere with more space so I'll have a full workshop. Love watching your videos mate. I'm a big fan of the pound shop. Plenty of bang for your buck on bits
I've made a couple of mechs and a sci-fi style battle tank using parts from an old printer, stereo system and some other random junk that was getting thrown out anyway. I always find the primer stage to be the most satisfying part of the, it transforms your model into something that no longer just looks like a pile of junk.
Drywall anchors are an awesome idea! Tons of texture and those corkscrew shapes are impossible to duplicate they'd absolutely elevate a drill or a missile.
1:08 Thank goodness you said to drink the Guinness first... would've been terrible if it went to waste. lol Another great video Bill. Enjoyed the build and your fun commentary. :)
Probably one of my favourite Robots you've made Bill .... l used to work for a spray bottle company where we made the trigger sprays , called Easy Kleenie....( for advertising purposes l can't give tge real name ).... but you may have heard of them. This was way back in the mid 1980s ..... don't know if there still going , l could raid their stores , now there's a though !
Loved this. Really clever and great hacks and techniques. You are right about your paint job. Colab with someone else who does painting? I can’t help you unfortunately. your builds are deserving of a great paint job.
Out standing lad! Cotton buds are good and the comercial icecreem tubs from places thatsell icecream in a cone. If you ask for them they will give them to you. They are great for plastic sheets of various thicknesses.
I've watched a couple of your videos today where you knocked over your brown wash cup... Have you ever thought about using an old mug to stand the plastic cup in. It would be much more stable with a bigger base and the weight of the mug to stop it tipping over. (You could even put some Poundland foam or scrap card inside the mug to hold the cup in place.)
So awesome man. I love it. You asked about suggestions, how about an airship kinda dealy. OOORRRR something like this walker in largeer scale like 1/18 or 1/12
I must say some of your older videos are... less good. But oh my god! This build is one of your best (from what I have seen) What I am trying to say is that your craft is exelent and your videos are improving :) Beautiful stuff
Amazing job Bill! I love this walker/mech, as well as the spaceship from episode #01. Wish that you could maybe slow down the speed a bit and spend a few extra seconds on the steps. I love this style of scratch-bashing and your creativity is off the charts. The commentary is what made me subscribe; "it's not a great paint job, but it looks metallic and old and kind of crappy...but that's what I'm going for." 😃 Great stuff, thanks for sharing, and keep on keeping on!! P.S. - I think your style would do really well with a steampunk themed build. Just need to add a few metal bits and some gears to your pile of parts and you're set!
If you haven't already you need to share your builds with the gamma wolves community (game published by osprey games, by Ash of Guerrilla Miniature Games here in UA-cam). It's a great build. Love it!
@@BillMakingStuff I've only just bought the book myself. But it's a wargame of roughly 4-6 robots per side, set on a dystopian future earth. Unlike the likes of Warhammer or infinity it's "miniature agnostic" (can use any stompy robots from any mini line). It seems scratch building is popular. Even if it's not something that interests you, I'm sure sharing these videos in their Facebook community would be a hit!
I found this video cuz my mate I plan on playing with has been collecting good scratch build robot ideas. One of the main design motivations for the game is to get people to use or make models that they normally wouldn't. since it's supposed to post-apocalyptic wasteland, you get to do all the weird fun stuff like spray bottle robots.
What paints do u use… oil based diy oil paint or mini acrylics … as although u say your not a good painter…if I used my shed paints I think id end up with a brown sticky mess
@@BillMakingStuff thanks bill ... I’ve watched upto episode 7ish and well u have answered most questions... Acrylic pens!!! Spray bottles!! More spray bottles ... really do like your show! This is the best use of spare plastic instead of throwing it in the trash and polluting the environment.
