Embrace the weird...lol...a weird habit I have is copying the facial expressiona of the characters if it says "he frowned" I just frown or she "he scowled at him" I will scowl and if I really like a line...like that one from Throne of Glass "I am Celaena Sardothien but I doesn't matter if you call me Celaena or Lilian or bitch I will still beat you anyway." I will say out loud lots of times and that line also from Throne Of Glass "Next time give me real men to fight and maybe I'll bother trying." my mum caught me once and she was like..."has my son lost his mind. Lol...and when I first read Throne of Glass when I was like 11 I wanted to become an assassin so I took I really big knife and started slicing things. Fast forward 4 years and I still slice things -preferably watermelons- with big knives. It's like fruit ninja but in real life and cooler. And when I read I like to eat candy...preferably jelly tots, jelly beans or wine gums and I like coffee with coconut creamer and sponge cake and also fruit salad. Basically depends on what day it is.

Yeah, I can relate to the keep you hands off my books and anything else like water, coke or spaghetti :) Harry Potter was a favorite of mine but I like mystery/sci-fi/intrigue so for that I recommend Dean Koontz (the master story teller) and if you like a little history mixed with your spy/espionage Clive Cussler is also great. Sadly, my reading has been reduced to the occasional audio book. I know but I also have a problem getting distracted too easily and I'm trying to write my own novels and I kinda feel like if I listen or read other authors while writing I might steal an idea or the name of a character or something, I don't know, it's weird. Zoe, you said you cast yourself as a character but do you hear a different voice for each character in your head when you read? I do that and I've been called weird for it. Love the videos keep it up!

OMG ZOE!!!! Number 1 is SO ME!!! I want to be an actress when I grow up and whenever I read books I think of them making movie adaptations of them and then I will pretend to be a character and say their lines out loud ahahahah! Or if I didn't want them to make movie adaptations or anything, I would still picture myself as one of the characters and it would just make the reading experience so much more fun!!!

With the first fact, I could already relate! I also think if the book was bring turned into a movie, which character would I like to play... and then I think about it and imagine it as a movie the way that I would have everything (costumes, cinematography, sets, the other actors all that stuff). OK! I typed all that before you completely finished talking about what you do! :P
I like to read before I go to bed, too, and when I first wake up- I have to continue and pick up where I left off before I went to sleep. My sleep schedule is so out of wack!

I started reading my books out loud to help with my stutter. I won't if it's a new book- because I don't want my voice to ruin the picture I'm trying to conjure in my head hahaha- but I would do that all the time in college with Richard Castle books. I make myself read it slowly and annunciate everything, so its kind of like speech therapy in a way. Lately I've been too impatient though I haven't done that in a while

I read books like a script too! And I also wanted to be an actress up until my freshman year of college haha but if I really liked the character or one of the characters in the book I would see if I would be able to play that character out its so much fun! But yes slightly embarrassing if you get caught haha

ZOE! ZOE! ZOE! I DO YOUR FIRST FACT TOO! I just feel like if I give them an accent or voice it will be easier to remember them and the book would be more memorable.

omg #1 and #2 are 100% me!!! You were so embarrassed about that and I was sitting here like "But, I do that, too..." Hahahaha
#12 is me as well. :'D I never loan my books, not even my sister or mother or friends. They're just my babies and I can't.
#14, I'm a cry baby and I cry every time haha it's kinda related to the #1 because when the main character starts crying, I do too. Lol
#15, PREACH!!! I don't get why authors most of the times make the characters way too perfect. I love when they have some kind of "imperfections" because they make them more realistic and relatable.
Sorry for the long comment 😂 haha

I'm so glad i'm not the only one that feels as if they're one of the characters in a book while i'm reading it 😅 I don't think I usually say their lines out loud but sometimes, if the way they're saying it is described more thoroughly than usual, I'll try to say it out loud that way🙈
