It's a shame that the 8-bit version doesn't have Marble Zone. I mean, the level wasn't that bad if you know it, and the unused music sounds great too. Nice Video

In the Mobile port of Sonic 1 SMS, Marble Zone is a playable level, with its boss from the 16 bit version.

I think there is a speed shoes powerup in Aqua Lake act 2 which changes the music and doesn't actually make Sonic faster. But only in the Master System version.
