This is a fantastic update ! Meanwhile I'm waiting for the following features : - Multiband comp refresh (not user friendly imo) - Panorama on sends knobs - Enhanced EQ8 (dynamic and more) - Peak AND Rms value on top the meter - An Oscilloscope (tempo sync) (superposition of waveforms between different instances) - merge (visual) function between individual instances of the spectrum analyzer - Other stuff I forgot
Dod you try generating 16 step sequence with call and response? Wondering how this will work and if it is possible to discard generating note on kick step ? or is it possible to select region where you want to generate midi note? Would be cool addition to this video!
Super Video mal wieder!
I don't really understand the global pitch feature...... Is that essentially just midi data? If so, why would it be applied to the instrument part of the chain, rather than to the piano roll (where the scale function already resided in V.11)?
I'm also very new to Ableton 12 but as far as I understand it there will (I hope) be more instruments that get this key button and then when you use the generators they will stick to your selected "key". in the "piano roll" you have highlighted your "key" with color already.
the operators exist as ,,free"' M4L over 2 years...open source shared with the world... Ableton copy the whole ,,free" device ... and change the color.... Wow... and now we pay 200$....please be a little bit more critical.... A lot feature requests again ignored... Bitwig is way ahead again specially for Live stage performer even Push 3 have more feature in Bitwig then in Live...
First of all I would like to make it clear that I have never done a review here, but only report what I like about the update. BUT: M4L tools are often super cool but perform really bad and make crashes an everyday thing and ableton is very good to offer a software that is stable and if it happens you always get your data back. I also use bitwig and yes they do a lot better but in the end I want something that let me make music so I don't worry so much about it. But i agree with you that companies that don't listen to the community shouldn't get any more love. the best example is the gaming industry where the indies are winning because the big heads just don't get it. (Battlefield, starfield, etc.)

You can do it with envelope followers@@MordioMusic
Looking forward to 12, have the upgrade pre-ordered. The new MIDI generator tools seem really interesting
