Imagine just using ANY other material besides LEAD.
Wait I missed the message… should I keep drinking from my Stanley
Yes it's fine, the lead is inside the vaccum sealed part of the cup, theres nothing your water or hands will touch.
form your own opinions
@@cameroni8543thank you I was curious about that
Yes
Don’t let it rust if it does doesn’t even bother with it
OMgosh, I really thought this was about hockey...NHL Stanley Cup.😂
Well maybe we need to use lead free solder....
Sweet! When you put them in the dishwasher, you give your whole family lead poisoning! What are the odds the botton falls off in the dishwasher? Sounds super safe and great for the environment! Hydroflask doesn't use lead, so I guess it's not every manufacturer ....
Do you you use citric acid in your washer and drink the water from the dishwasher?
@@matthiasknutzen6061 I tell you what I don't do. I don't pay attention if I dropped or dinged a stainless steel cup. I also don't check to see if tiny cracks have developed. No acid or drinking of the dishwasher is necessary to get exposure. They should have told us if the cups contained lead is what they should have done instead of printing dishwasher safe on the bottom of the cup. I'm fine with people taking risks... if they are informed. Stanley hid the fact and when confronted tried to minimize the problem buy saying.... only if it's damaged. What does damaged mean? Does it mean if I take a hacksaw to the cup or if it accidentally falls off a table onto a hard surface? We still don't really know at what point these cups are considered damaged.
@@matthiasknutzen6061 Let's not forget these were marked at kids below the age of 18. The ones that are in the biggest risk category for lead. Also the group most likely to damage these cups and not pay any attention to said damage. Do go on though about how safe lead is though... I mean they only charged $45 a cup.... no way they could have spent the extra 25 cents on a tin sealer instead.
@@uploderpilotfully agree with you.. and it’s quite common sense, which seems to get more rare these days..
if a product is sold it should be under any typical use be safe to use. If a freakin cap that might fall off easily exposes you to pure lead, well, definitely not a safe product.
@@uploderpilot even if it's broken the risk of exposure is very low, there's lead in the brass valve in your tap lol 😆
There's leaded glass in every home in America. There's lead piping to millions of homes.
People should be more concerned about their tap water than this mug sigh 🤷
If you have older thermoses they are probably sealed in a similar way.
I would dispute that lead being out of touch is not a problem. Because old damp lead can become lead oxide which is highly toxic, and I wouldn’t want that in my dishwasher. 🇬🇧
whoa, the button fell off the bottom of my Stanley cup, and I just can't help licking the indention part.
Is it still safe to use the cup if that part hasn’t fallen off ?😳
Yes
of course! the lead would be contained, and wouldn't be allowed to be exposed to anything else other than inside of the bottle (between the outer shell and steel shell on the interior.)
So many half wits in the comments
"So iS It SAfE To drInK fRoM My StaNLeY"...
YES if the button sealing the lead solder on the bottom is intact then its fine.
Why would they even flirt with lead
Because it’s cheap to flirt!
SO I GOT SCRAED PF DRINKING OF A STANLEY CUP FOR NO REASON!
the lifetime warranty only lasts for about a month after purchase
Lead can go through skin.
If your home was build before 1978 you have lead pipes and lead paint
Bro we have been drinking lead
It has led and also asbests inside.
We banning pencils after dis one
Can i keep drinking from my stanley
Yes as long of the bottom of the isn’t Stanley fallen off its still safe to drink!:3
Stanley’s full of it, how are consumers suppose to know this? What’s preventing someone from just putting their cup in something else and contaminating it with the Stanley lead
You would be surprised how many forks spoons and other utensils have led in them
"Imported and domestic silver-plated hollowware have been found to contain significant quantities of leachable lead."
That info was posted a few years ago yet companies still make them that way
Stanley made a statement saying it included lead🤦🏽♀️ if consumers already know unless they never read anything about stanleys.

SO I AM DRINKING LEAD?
haha
I swear people will cry about any in every single thing.
