I realized after this film, that he is better than Robert DeNiro. He is beyond any category of an actor. He is a one of a kind. Be cool, but dont ever say that dinos never existed. I hope that's sarcasm. If it isnt, I feel sorry for you.
I knew he was good and could play any role. But I never would have pictured him being this good in this role. Now I know. Check out Galveston, too. Same type of part, not quite as good a movie, but worth seeing for sure.
LOVE Ben Foster. The most underrated actor. Glad he chooses filmmakers instead of well-oiled plastic formulaic 'productions'. Wish the video was longer...way longer.
Ben Foster is polarizing. What an amazing actor. I loved this film. It is one of my top films for this genre. The acting is just amazing. The characters all were stunning. Jeff Bridges is beyond. But it wasn't that. It was that things in this film came together that was serendipity. You can't plan this stuff. It just happens sometimes. Great film...
I also noticed that watching the movie for the 10th time recently, lol ;) Such a tiny and great detail. Do you think they were planning this and "made it happen" while shooting the scene...or was it just a pure coincidence that served the scene perfectly??
Caught it opening day. Very very fine. Everyone is great, and it has depth. Texas is really something...a character worth many investigations. It's not a film for small screens. No the way Texas is depicted. Go big.
It takes a lot for a film to impress me (I have walked out of more "Big" pictures than I can count on one hand) and this one certainly did...just tremendous acting, writing, and directing.
"...come hell or high water" is a common expression. Its just a more specific way of saying nothing is gonna stop me. Im guessing the high water part has to do with areas that see flooding and the saying probably originates from people who had to deal with it.
The term is often used to describe never ending - never ceasing dogmatic determination, If someone adds “come hell or high water “ to the end of the statement of their plans or intentions, that means nothing, Not even- Hell or even High Water- will stop them, in other words, neither Flames or Flood will stop them from accomplishment of their goal or objectives! Growing in the south, that’s always been my interpretation of how we used such phrase. Other regions could have a slightly different interpretation perhaps, but I would suspect Texas & mid west would be about the same!
The Italian Snob The phrase "come hell or high water" typically means "do whatever needs to be done, no matter the circumstances". It also refers to the "hell or high water clause" in a contract, usually a lease, which states that the payments must continue regardless of any difficulties the paying party may encounter. Both definitions apply to different parts of the plot in this movie. - IMDb
Didn’t care for this interview verses other actor interviews I’ve observed from this movie, not extremely familiar with Ben Foster, I may like his acting but in the interview he seems to favor using cliche idioms or terms, instead of just talking directly to the interviewer or the viewers an answering the questions & speaking to the quality of the movie, 4 mins & 10 seconds & he really didn’t say anything, Perhaps he needed a script?
One thing became abundantly clear after seeing this flick: Ben Foster is a seriously gifted actor

DinosaursNeverExisted, doubtless. He is aging rapidly, though.
Alpha Dog
I didn't even realize it was Ben Foster until just now (seen this movie a few times). That's a serious testament to how good of an actor he is.

This film is an absolute masterpiece. Ben Foster deserved the Oscar for BSA. -------------------------WolfSky9
Ben stole the show in this. Everyone put in freaking amazing performance so that's saying a LOT. What an underrated actor.

One of the greatest fucking movies of all time!
Excellent actor
I've been a Ben Foster fan for some time now.
"How have you managed to stay out of prison so long?"
"Its been difficult."

Polarizing? I don't know if you mean what that word means to me

Underrated actor
dude was a beast in this movie
Not a beast but "A MOUNTAIN LION MEAN".... Last true Lord of the Plains ;)
Ben Foster is a total bad-ass in this flick, and I love his character.
easy one of his best movies
Well done Ben.
Foster was fucking INCREDIBLE in 3:10 to Yuma. First I've seen of him and I definitely can't wait to check out more.
Amazing movie!

Ben foster rocks
Great movie
I can't belive he played a nerd in The Punisher 2004.
Or angry cocked hip hop star in 1 scene in "Phone booth" (2002)... for which I belive he wasnt even credited.
Was shocked how this guy was not nominated for an oscar but instead was given to another stupid ass rendition of rooster cogburn. Ben IS this movie
It takes a lot for a film to impress me (I have walked out of more "Big" pictures than I can count on one hand) and this one certainly did...just tremendous acting, writing, and directing.
You Damn Right it did.
Philipp Seymour Hoffmann GOAT Like talent there from Ben
Lord of the plains
That dude made the movie
Ben Foster is going to be working through his 70's, some actors are just blessed with a nasty face!! FANTASTIC
I am not American. Can someone explain me why the movie is called hell or high water?

My ONLY criticism of this movie, is the title should have been "Lords of the Plains."

there also is a quote in the movie by a character that says the line that lights up the final story arch.
Oh Tucker what have you gotten yourself into now?
He will be perfect Micah Bell
Imagine Foster as Jesse Pinkman.
MARK YOUR VID WITH *SPOILERS* dude. dont ruin it. too many people havent seen this great film because of msm. dont spoil it.
