I finally got to use this grip. First of all thank you for the RECOMMEND, a classic sleeper of a product. It does exactly what you claim and more! I can somehow crank up the racquet speed higher more often without throwing the racquet if you know what I mean? Hopefully interesting feedback. I like a built up grip on the butt of my racquet. Two reasons my backhand and my serve. I experimented putting some old grip underneath the starting turn of the Xamsa-Glu. Man this grip stretches nicely! By far the easiest grip to put on I was amazed it stretched so far. I think this could be an overgrip but quite thick definitely a personal call. But the comfort and inspired confidence this grip allowed me to play the most confidently I've ever played... FANTASTIC GRIP!!! 😎👋
Thanks for coming back to leave some feedback my guy! 🙏 It's good to hear this so I get some confirmation that what I perceive isn't crazy. I know exactly what you mean with the higher racket head speed. I struggled with my grip massively and I'm very sensitive to both it's feel and shape. Now that I have this grip I can't go back to anything else. Also, I know exactly what you mean about the built-up grip on the butt of the racket. I have done similar experiments, and I'm willing to bet my playing arm that I've taken theses experiments much further than anyone else (excluding pro players). I'm going to be talking a LOT more about grips and grip shapes over the next few months so stay tuned! I think it's fair to say that I'm going to blow some minds based on what I have to show 🤯💪 The first video on this, which should be the next video be released, is on the overgrip I alluded to towards the end of the video (one that miraculously performs similar to the Xamsa X-GLU grip). So I think if you want to put an overgrip on top of the Xamsa X-GLU grip you might have an option now 😎
Hmmm I'll view that next but I just can't get over the increases in accuracy, confidence, vibration isolation, cleaner ball striking that encourages you to play better. By far! My best base grip ever, my spin serves! OMG everything so much easier knowing I'll never throw my Racquet. On subject of cleanliness. Any skin dirt sweat will reduce any grip but somehow way less with Xsansa X Glu. Two suggestions soap and baking soda in a wet paste should return it to original tackiness. Also bacteria give plain old Dollarama Tooth Brush and Toothpaste a try. Toothpaste has antibacterial agents in it. Just don't scrub to hard the silica in Toothpaste is mildly abrasive. Soap and Baking Soda probably the safest of the two. Could not believe how easy, how binding how well the wrap of the grip went on. I have ultra sensitive rotator cuff issues. Would you believe I play without any DAMPENER now? This is one superb base grip in every aspect, thoroughly pleased as punch with my purchase. Game-changer. I don't say that lightly! Oh show suggestion if you let audience know your first name during video. They will feel more at ease and so will you 😉👋🇨🇦
I'm glad what I posted about helped you so much! Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes X-GLU so much 😆 The cleaning suggestion is an interesting one. I've never thought about cleaning my grips since I think I'm often lazy about these kinds of things and I'd rather replace them. But I'm definitely trying it as an experiment. I'm sure it's worthwhile especially if you get used to the way the grip is wrapped and/or are environmentally conscious (it's good to reduce any waste). I honestly hadn't given any thought to announcing my name at the beginning of each video. I'm pretty new to YT and I'm still figuring out where exactly my comfort zone lies. I'll try and see if your suggestion feels natural! 🙏
@@11sweetspot11 Should improve tackiness and make grip a LOT more presentable. I thought it was my 100 sq in frame that was creating accuracy errors. I can't tell you how inspiring the confidence levels are, never been this confident before. See why you use it for squash alright. This grip literally makes you want to try shots you haven't thought of yet. Yes sir, that inspiring 😎 DAWN dish detergent and baking soda will lift the dirt and the smell. But try on an old grip you were changing out anyway. There are surfactants in Dawn dish soap that may break down the glue that holds the grip on. Not quite what you want... But if it doesn't lift the glue, that's your best soap for sure. 🤔🫧
Thank you for the kind words! That’s what I’m trying to do here with this channel: show some amazing gear that deserves more attention and give my perspective on things (one that’s a bit different to the main stream perspectives because I like very loose tensions and very soft and trampoline like setups!)
Thanks mate! Some of my videos already go into this, the one about my favourite squash strings is an example (Ashaway SuperNick XL/ZX) of how I ended up playing with super soft and trampoline like setups. As I grow the channel I’m going to focus on this a lot more. I have a really interesting video in the works about string stiffness and tension that expands on this more so hopefully people can understand how to unlock the playability and benefits of playing at 35 lbs (my preferred tension). So stay tuned! That video should be out very soon 🙂
Great video. I mainly play squash and a little bit of tennis as well. How would you compare these Xamsa grips to Karakal Supergrip? Karakal used to be decent but ever since pandemic the durability of those have gone down hill. For me they only last about 10 hours of game time. By the way, do you find the Xamsa racquets have very small grip size? I have to put the supergrip on top of the original Xamsa grip to make them fit and I have small hands...
Thanks mate!! I used to play with Karakal PU Super Grip as well before I came across the Xamsa X-GLU Grip. There’s honestly no comparison. They would last 5 hours for me, quite similar in performance to the Wilson Pro Overgrips. Great for the first few hours and then the grippy material just wore off. But comparing these is still like comparing apples to oranges. I used them because they did the job at the time but the performance here is completely different and on a whole different level. The Xamsa PXT Incognito racquet I play with has a bigger grip than average, almost a whole size bigger. I was very surprised to see this. It ended up working in my favour since I was moving towards bigger grip sizes. But I can only speak for this specific racquet, not the other ones. I would email them if you have concerns. They’re super helpful and will probably get back to you with measurements if you ask for them. My favourite grip shape is the one on Prince rackets. They have a very nice taper to them towards the throat of the racquet that makes managing bigger grip sizes MUCH easier. You could always play around with how you wrap your grip to get a taper if you really wanted one (that’s what I did).
Are these much thicker than tennis overgrips (Wilson, Yonex, Head)? Is the idea to use this as an overgrip, or to replace the main grip and no longer use any overgrips?
If they are thicker I haven’t been able to perceive it. This is a replacement grip, the thing that is under the overgrips. Whether you choose to forego an overgrip is really up to you. For me it comes down to how the replacement grip or overgrips perform. I used to prefer overgrips but now prefer just the Xamsa X-GLU replacement grip. Like I mentioned at the end of the video I think I may have found an overgrip that performs just as well as the X-GLU so I may go the overgrip route on rackets where I use a leather grip. I’m currently testing this overgrip so stay tuned for that update 🙂
LOL I guess it's been long enough since I posted the video last fall! Thanks for watching all the way to the end, mate! And since you did, here's the answer to your question: Bow Brand Grip Tape. The review for this is coming around April-May since I wanted to test it long-term and I have a lot to say (including some comparisons) so stay tuned!

I'll try and experiment with your suggestions when a grip gets too dirty 👍
Great video! I almost never find something new when it fomes to tennis gear, but I will definitely try this if I can get my hands on it.

Nice! I recommend the overgrip! It's probably my fav. so far.
Does it come in black
Unfortunately no; I’ve linked the grip in the description for anyone wondering the same thing.
I no longer want to use Wilson overgrips 😂
Hahaha sorry my guy!
