Hello Chelly! Hope you are well. Sorry for the late reply. SO fantastic you could sew at a young age. I had to teach myself as an adult but I made dresses out of foil etc. I wish I had a Tuesday as a kid! Glad you liked this video. Thanks for watching ❤️
Tuesday Taylor is one of the coolest dolls of the 70's maybe of all time. What a wild feature! She's a little larger than a Barbie but the MEGO Superstar dolls, Cher, Farrah, Toni Tenille, Diana Ross clothes and shoes fit her.
I got a Tuesday Taylor doll when I was 6 years old back in May 1975. That same year for Christmas. I got the Tuesday Taylor penthouse apartment! If I only knew then what I know now, I would have taken extremely good care of it and saved it all these years.
Oh! That is so cool! The penthouse too! I would have gone bananas! Hahaha, I think we all think that about our childhood toys. i still regret not keeping my Princess and the Pauper Erika. I had no idea those would be so expensive now. ❤️😊
Also let's not forget Tiffany Taylor.. the larger doll produced.. she also came in a beautiful black version. One of the most underrated dolls produced by ideal toy company..
I absolutely ADORE Tuesday Taylor dolls! In my opinion they are so underrated. She's a BEAUTIFUL doll. For me I could do without the rotating scalp. I would have preferred the doll be sold with both hair colors (I would have included Auburn hair as well). Thanks for this review. It was so much fun and very exciting!
100% agree! Such a gorgeous doll and SO underrated. Such a lovely figure too. I too wish they offered brunette and redhead in the dolls without the rotating scalp. But Tuesday's blonde is so much nicer than other dolls so I don't mind it. Thanks for watching ❤️ And sorry for the late reply.
My mom has the Tiffany Taylor doll with black/red brown hair. Gold one piece swimsuit with lime green cape & heels. I always wanted to play with her but i wasn't allowed to 😂😂
Tiffany Taylor is gorgeous! Aww, that is such a shame! I once was allowed to play with a neighbours childhood dolls and it was so magical. Until talking busy Barbie's arm fell off 🤯
Thank you for giving Tuesday her time. I have Suntan Tuesday Taylor and both large Tiffany Taylor dolls. I used to have the Penthouse as a kid, but have bought the convertible Vacation house as an adult. It is really cool as well.
She always gets her time in my house 😂❤️ Such a beautiful doll. Ooh! I wish I could get both! They are awesome play-sets and much nicer and realistic than Barbie's. Sorry for the late reply ❤️
Thank you Dean, that was fun! I have a few Tuesday Taylor dolls with the switching hair and two suntan and a Taylor Jones, all thrifted! I love them! I have two Tiffany Taylor dolls too!
Thank you ❤️😊 Taylor Jones! Thrifted!! 😩 I am so jealous! 😱 I would love to get a Taylor Jones one day. So pricey but I would definitely part with the money if I had it.
I'm a big Tuesday Taylor fan, I didn't appreciate them until I saw one in person. The face is so soft and lovely, and the body as well. The bizarre American Sailor Moon dolls are on a mangled clone of TT's body. The only thing they could share is shoes, and neither line had a lot of shoes to share.
Yay! She deserves all the love she can get. I don't get why she isn't more popular but it's good for keeping the prices down 😂 Ooh, I will have to look at those Sailor Moon dolls closer. That sounds interesting. Sorry for the late reply VTW ❤️😊
I've been fascinated by this doll and wanted her in my collection then I recently found out that she had a African American friend called Taylor Jones and I absolutely want to find her doll someday she's gorgeous💙
Somebody else mentioned you in a video... they said you had found shoes to fit Tuesday. Beside Cher shoes from Mego, are there any other shoes out there to watch out for? I have 17 Tuesday's right now... I only have shoes for 10 of them... her big ol' feet are a problem with finding shoes, but besides that, she is absolutely stunning and her fashions beat late 70s Barbie fashions.
I'm a massive fan of Tuesday Taylor and I totally agree with you. She's so underrated and she had a higher quality than Barbie dolls of that time. The only little issue I have with Tuesday is that her feet are way too big and the shoes she came with are not precisely my favorite kind of shoe, but I can get over that... Lol I didn't know that there was a Beautiful Crissy in the scale of a Tuesday doll body, she is so stunning! I would love to get one someday! And so as the Loni Anderson doll, she looks fabulous! Although she was only a prototype and never got released. Such a shame... 😢
Sorry for the late reply ❤️ Definitely! I'm kinda glad she isn't more popular though. Imagine having to spend $800 on one 😂 I found the shoes of the Marilyn and Liz Taylor dolls I reviewed fit perfectly but they do have a tendency to fall off. I guess it could be fixed with tape or blu-tack though. I actually like that she has larger feet. I don't have an issue with Barbie being unrealistic but I have always though that her feet are unusually small. I've heard that Loni was a prototype but apparently a few have been sold in box over the years, so some people have a theory that some were produced as a market test or something.
@@DeanReen It's okay my man, I'm glad you did! ☺️ Such a shame that the Loni Anderson doll was just only a test product but would be awesome to have her as another iconic gal in our collections! And yeah, I do agree with you... I think Barbie's feet are a little smaller than usual and not "realistic". With Tuesday's, I tried some of that doble face tape I use regualrly on my gals' breasts, so the cleavage don't fall out of place, lol As an update, I no longer have my Tuesday's with me but I'm hoping to get one in the near future. 🥹
@@robertomarin9864 Definitely! And to dress her up as Jayne Mansfield too. The double tape is a good idea! I like that the feet are bigger. Oh, I hope you find one soon? Is there a reason they are no longer with you?
@@DeanReen Yeah! I'm learning how to recreate the hairstyle too and the progress it's been good so far. 😄 And yeah... Before finding my current job, I was struggling financially and I had to put a lot of my vintage gals for sale. 😓 Now, I'm waiting patiently to find another Tuesday in the best condition possible and give her a good spa day and some killer 70's waves 🥹
I wish I knew her as a child. I would have been so obsessed 😂 It seems strange she didn't do better. To have both blonde and brunette in one doll and all the posing ability. She is like the ultimate doll 😍❤️
FINALLY, you posted this! I wondered when you were getting to your all-time favourite! LOL 😆As I have often said to you in our numerous Dolly chats, I vividly remember her being around when I was a kid back in the 70's and she was very popular here in Australia at the time, if just for a brief period, though I only recall seeing the earlier gals with the rotating scalps, which kinda creeped me out back then, so I never got one for myself, though many of my friends had her, even more than Barbie. (She must have been better priced than Barbie, and parents saw the value in her, perhaps?) I do appreciate her and Eric and Dodi (and of course, my favourite Taylor Jones!) much more as an adult collector now, as they totally represent the 1970s IMO, and of course, you have seen my Tuesday Taylor collection many times.... And I would still KILL to have her fabulous Penthouse Apartment! 😜🤪😝 (I am still so jealous of that first Tuesday that you de-boxed with those golden caramel streaks in her blonde hair!!! My ones are just plain pale blonde! 🙄)
Yes! And TRYING to catch up with comments too. I feel like I am drowning now. I can't believe it has taken me this long to get to Tuesday. Yes, it seems she WAS popular here from what I have seen and heard, but not for long clearly. She gives me total bogan hottie vibes for some reason which is probably why she did so well here 😂 Aren't the streaks lovely. I love that doll so much. I am sure you could find one 🤷🏼♂️ I haven't actually researched how rare it is though.
@@DeanReen : You may have just re-ignited my interest in my TT collection! 🤪😜 Oh NOOOOOOO! I can't start rabidly searching for a streaky-haired gal!!!!! 😩 (And I would LOVE for you to re-root one of my Taylor Jones with a massive, full-on streaky afro! 😜)
Tuesday is my favorite fashion doll too! I have ever version of her except for the Black Super Model. I love her face so much. Those eyes! 0Its taken me about 20 years just to find half of her outfits at reasonable prices. Great vid.
Hi Dean, I never seen this doll before, the only one I new of was the red head that her hair grows, I so wanted one of them as a kid, my mother in law has one, she may give it to me one day 🥰
Oh! I would LOVE the black Supermodel! I thought having Taylor Jones would do it for me but I still have that yearning. It's a shame her outfits are so HTF! They probably focused more on the dolls and play sets? P.S. Sorry for the late reply! ❤️
I adore Tuesday Taylor!!! She was the last doll I played with. I had the one that came in the light blister pack with the city skyline. Interestingly, mine had the blonder hair like the second one you opened. She reminds me of Sharon Tate! I always preferred her brunette look. I had the Dorothy Hamill doll as well. She was a big hit during the '76 winter Olympics and her hairstyle was a huge hit here in the States. I have the suntan, beauty queen and model dolls but I don't have the elusive Taylor Jones. Such a pretty doll! 💕💕💕💕
Oh, that is so special! ❤️ I had no idea you had her as a kid. Oh, that is odd, I assumed they must have changed the hair when they changed packaging but clearly not. I am really interested to find out how rare the streaked hair is. She does look a lot like Sharon Tate! Sharon was actually the inspiration for my reroot actually! I love the Dorothy Hamill doll. She is pretty but in a very natural everyday kind of way. Taylor Jones! Oh how I want one. I would even go for a TLC one but I can't even afford those ATM 😩
When I first started collecting quite a few years ago. I used to run onto used Tuesday Taylors loose regularly in the thrift stores and flea markets. But not now. So I'm glad I bought the ones I did at the time. I have a couple of of the large Tiffany Taylors and I still like Tiffany better, and also the large size Crissy doll over the smaller one. I'm in the U.S. so I don't have a small Crissy, like you said they were made for your market. Unlike Barbie at the time with the Supersize Barbie which looks exactly like it's smaller counterpart. Ideal changed the face style when they changed the size, the smaller dolls don't look exactly like the larger ones. For me that was a shame because I think both of the larger dolls are so very pretty. Tuesday IS pretty, but I just would have preferred it look more like Tiffany, the larger version. I have the Dorothy Hamill doll too, couldn't believe when I found it used and still in great shape with it's rolling stand that lets you pretend it's skating. I think you're right that Tuesday was a very good contender to Barbie at the time. But, it may have been they didn't catch on because people were used to a smiling friendly seeming doll? Malibu and Superstar Barbie are very friendly looking.Tuesday has that expression that models on the runway have as they walk, slightly bored, but beautiful.😉 I didn't know there was ever a Loni Anderson doll, that was educational. From the picture you showed it looks like a pretty doll, I wonder why they weren't sold? The actress Loni A. was very popular for a while in the 70's and 80's. I like learning new doll stuff so thanks for that. I too would love to own the Tuesday Taylor penthouse someday. But I'd have to get lucky and find it local, because like you said, it's expensive and so is shipping these days. That is a great looking play set. Thanks for another fun doll video. 💮
Oh! I am so glad you did too! It seems everything is getting harder to find. Perhaps the hobby is just getting so popular now that everything gets bought up and hung on to. Not to mention all of the dolls that get destroyed. Tiffany never really appealed to me. I think it is the shape of her body but most people say she looks better in person than in photos so maybe you need to have one in your hands to understand. Yes, apparently the Crissy was exclusively made for Australia which is very cool. You could be right. People do usually like a smile. Ollie HATES dolls with teeth as they don't look natural. He probably thinks it looks like they are foaming from the mouth or something 😂 I never knew who Loni was until I saw the doll. It definitely looks official and not an OOAK and I have only seen that sculpt on that doll. I REALLY want one as she is so pretty. Thank YOU for watching and commenting! 😊❤️
Hello Dean! I am enjoying your channel. I am a big fan of Tuesday, Taylor, and I have her, and Taylor Jones, and I have a walking version that I think they call her Jamie. I have several Tuesday Taylor’s 18 inch and 12 inch and I also have Eric and he is very big and muscular.
Hiya! Thank you so much ❤️ Wow! That's an impressive collection. Those dolls must take up a lot of room. I'm currently sewing for Eric. He is very muscular indeed. I don't own one but I've borrowed one from my friend Eddi. Sorry for the late reply BTW ❤️
I have the Suntan version that had no bangs, which I preferred. She is currently bald, her hair disintegrated and fell off. It was a weird fiber on mine, not saran nor nylon. It was very opaque and cheap feeling. I got her nrfb and a couple of years after unboxing the hair tragedy happened. I never really liked the twisting scalp mechanism and I never used it. She was always a brunette in a low ponytail to cover the scalp line. I still have her tho , maybe I will reroot her one day. Her body shape is quite lovely and I love her facial expression. I also have the Beauty Queen version, she is not articulated and her eyelashes are only painted , she has great hair though. Shiny nylon very high quality. She outlived her “deluxe” sister 🤣
I prefer that version too. I did have one but her skin was permanently orange which bugged me a bit. She also came to me second hand and her hair was a bit of a mess. But now I want one again! 😩 WOW, That is SO strange! I wonder what wad with that hair. It sounds like cheap clone hair. I have had that happen with quite a few clones but really cheap ones. The main issue I had with rerooting was that the scalp was a bit tough but apart from that it was OK. The first doll I have successfully rerooted. I don't mind the painted lashes TBH. I have always been one to appreciate the more simple things 😊❤️
@@DeanReen I don’t mind the painted lashes because I grew up with Barbies that only had painted lashes. I never tried the suntan feature. I don’t even think it works anymore. I love her white bikini and her ultra 70’s coverup. That penthouse apartment is everything! The beach house/ ski cottage set is also very cool.
@@Lars1996 It would be interesting to see if it does work. My friend Eddi has a suntan doll that works. But you have to be careful as some doll crack in sunlight I have found. The bikini is gorgeous!
I had never heard of the Beautiful Crissy on the Tuesday Taylor body. She's really pretty. I had the bigger Crissy doll when I was young. Tuesday Taylor came along when I stopped playing with dolls so I never really noticed her. She's really pretty. Like you I prefer the darker blonde. I'm not really into the hair switch though, it does feel a bit weird. I'm interested in seeing the results of your rerooting one. Thanks for the video!
She is quite rare even here in Australia. I believe she was exclusively made for Australia only and she didn't sell very well unfortunately. The hair switch is odd but it doesn't look bad though. Barbie used this gimmick in the 00s and it looked very silly. The reroot look so good if I say so myself and I am dying to share it. The video footage is SO long though and is going to take lots of work to edit 😬🤦♂️ Thank you! ❤️😊
I never had a Tuesday doll, but I think I recall the commercial for her condo where she tanned on the roof. As kid I didn’t understand how that could happen. The tune in the commercial was quite catchy so I think I would have liked a Tuesday doll.
Hello Dean I’m really glad I can talk to you here. I have the Tuesday Taylor doll that’s the 11 1/2 inches, and I also have Tuesday and Tiffany Taylor dolls that are the bigger dolls. I would like to know, why didn’t they make a Tiffany Taylor doll that was 11 1/2 inches? I also have Eric, and I bought a Taylor Jones, and I have so many, but I wanted to really tell you that I just got a Dorothy Hamill doll today. There was also another doll that I don’t know if you and others know about, and she was called a walking Jamie doll. I have her as well. She’s the same size as the 11 1/2 inch dolls and you can make her walk. I really enjoy your channel by the way.
Oh dear, I'm getting confused now! 😂 So many comments. Sorry again for the late reply, Tuesday Taylor IS Tiffany Taylor in 1:6 scale. They also have Taylor Jones who is the black version? I'm not sure if I am answering your question or not. Congrats on getting Dorothy! She is actually very cute. I think she is very underrated. Oh, walking Jamie by Mattel? I have one of those. Thank you ❤️
So I never knew about her! She’s wonderful. I love the Fashion Queen Barbie with her changing wig options and the Color Magic Barbie with her changing hair but this looks so fun. I love love love her penthouse!
Her penthouse is the ultimate! I wish I could afford it. I may have to try and make my own version one day. Hey, I like Fashion Queen too! Maybe there is something to that? 🤷🏼♂️❤️😊
I think dolls allow children and the adult collectors they grew up to become to have a sense of security and control. We can use them to imagine and transform and when the doll literally has options so transforming as hair colour it can expand the play scenarios. The brunette Version can be the same doll with a makeover or her evil twin. She can be a spy undercover or whatever you want. I love toys like this that inspire the experience of imagination to go further. The Fashion Queen did the same thing. I wonder how many hairdressers were created by playing with these dolls?
@@seamusmaguire7668 I think you are right! It is about exploring and controlling. It helps us form relationships and explore social interactions too. Hence all of the friends and such. I love those scenarios you have come up with! I am sure a lot of them, I know my hairdresser used to cut her dolls hair 😊❤
We have the original and her boyfriend, Eric. His head was too small, we also have the suntan Tuesday and Eric. They did fix his head on that one. We have a Tiffany also, all of ours are secondhand and opened though. I used to have them used as a child also. Dorothy Hamill had the same body, it's so hard to find shoes, but the Gen 1 Monster High shoes fit well enough.
I'm currently sewing some clothes for Eric for a few friends. I personally don't like him so I borrowed one to be the model 😂 I found other shoes that fit Tuesday but those dolls are expensive too but I bought a whole bunch of them just for the shoes 😂🤷🏼♂️ The things I do for Tuesday 😂💖
I have a Tuesday. I have an eclectic collection dominated by Barbie and Sindy. Tuesday reminds me of being Ideal's answer to Malibu Barbie. She has a very pretty face mould too. I don't have any fashions as they don't come up in the UK. Plus mine is shoeless.
She does have that Malibu quality to her with the tan skin and blue eyeshadow. Much prettier though 😂🤷🏼♂️❤️ I still only have one Sindy doll and hope to get more one day when I can afford them 😩 OH NO! Shoeless! That is a bit of a pickle with Tuesday 😬
Stumbled upon tuesday after discovering tiffany at a thrift store and trying to figure out who she was…i have 3 Tuesday Taylors, would love to find the AA version! Eta: i have 3 Tiffany taylors, including the aa version. Oh one of my tuesdays is the suntan one!
I always wanted one but they were not sold in Europe so i don't across them at all... I only know her from pics on flickr, all of the Ideal dolls are amazing they have the best sculpts in my opinion, also good on you for unboxing her, the dolls kept in box deteriorate faster and by the time people notice is beyond repair... The sealed box collecting mentality is beyond me as you can't really enjoy your toys that way, you might as well just keep a photo of the doll in that case... I think all dolls should be opened and aired from time to time even if you are keeping them never removed to help them survive without growing mold or plastic disease... Also the elastics and outfits melt over time and stain them so those things need to be prevented...
REALLY!? Not sold in Europe! WOW! I thought Europe got almost everything we got here in Australia. Yes, I agree. Sometimes if the box is stunning I understand it but if it doesn't do much for the doll I think it best to unbox them. It's not like they are going to get trashed sitting on a collectors shelf.
Hi dean i have all her stuff that ideal made for her.I have all the dolls made of her.I have her apartment and her summer house too.Well take care Dean Best Paul
@@DeanReen TT with white bikini came with brunette fringe and it's blonde part not. Beatiful Crissy 12"? I'd never seen it before, she looks fantastc!💜
I just looked at your video again and I didn’t know whether I told you that I have two Eric dolls and oh my he is quite 0:43 muscular. You’re right he is the most muscular of any male doll I had ever seen Taylor and I also have the 18 inch Tiffany Taylor dolls I wish they would have made 18 inch Tuesday tailors as well. I would’ve liked that.
I just responded to an older comment you posted. I'm not sure what you mean by making Tiffany/Tusday Taylor dolls different sizes? They have black and white dolls in both sizes and they are basically the same dolls just in different sizes. Eric is INDEED the most muscular doll. He's bigger than Action Man and GI Joe and every other doll. I wonder why they did that?
If you don’t want or need these, I’d love to buy them. My birth name is Tuesday Taylor. I had a few in boxes that my mom bought for me but she lost them when her storage unit was repossessed. Thanks:)
So cool that your name is also Tuesday Taylor! ❤️😊 If ever I choose to sell something it will be done via Etsy or eBay. These dolls are fairly affordable and plentiful, you should take a look on eBay. Thank you.
I wish she could make a comeback. She has a nice face and proportions, and the articulation and stand are a bonus. I have a Barbie from the 2000s with this hair gimmick, but I'd rather have the real deal.
I'm not sure about that 😂 I'd be scared of them making her out of cheap plastic and wearing basic clothes. She is so beautiful though and I wish she lasted a bit longer.

I had a Tuesday Taylor black doll but the big one and her hair would do the gimmick ❤🎉
Oh cool! You had Tiffany Taylor. She's gorgeous!
She is really gorgeous, I would love to have one 🥺
They aren't too well loved and you can still find them for relatively good prices. I hope you find one someday ❤️
I didn’t know they made a Beautiful Crissy doll that was Barbie sized! I collect the large Crissy dolls. Great video!
Yes, not many people talk about her. She is very cute. I don't have the space for large dolls unfortunately. Thank you ❤️
I absolutely love Tuesday Taylor! As a child I loved her hair . She is still beautiful in my eyes. Also surprised she didn’t do better.
@@fashiondolldreamer Hahaha, Tuesday is everything! We should only buy her from now on! 😂
@@DeanReen: I'm STILL gunning for the penthouse! (Though I have nowhere to put it if I ever found it. ☹)
Crissy? She's cute! Too large for my small house though 😂 She had beautiful outfits!
Such a cool doll! Great review
Thank you 😊❤️
My favorite fashion doll as well. Completely under rated
Loved the commercials, so NYC❤❤❤
The jungle never fails to get stuck in my head 😂❤️
@@DeanReen Me Too❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have the Suntan version that had no bangs, which I preferred.
I would have been confused too! They don't explain it very well. They should've leaned into the whole colour changing description.
I've never seen her before, but she is really cute!
Thank you ❤️
Hello Dean I’m really glad I can talk to you here.
Loved her she was my favorite Barbie doll she was bad girl when dark haired and nice girl blonde 🤣🤣🤣
I had a Tiffany Taylor doll, a Tuesday Taylor doll and a Taylor Jones doll when I was a child. I might buy the latter two dolls back.
Lucky duck! I would have loved them as a kid. But I get to enjoy them now I guess. I can't do larger dolls. I have tried and they just aren't for me.
I think I have her i thought it was a Barbie that was that , i could be wrong i was 11 years old when I had that doll , i still have her
There is a Barbie with the same mechanism from the 2000s. Other than that I don't think there are any other dolls like this 😊
Tuesday Taylor doll was used for custom wonder woman doll in the season two wonder woman tv show titled the man who could move the world
Yes, I do remember that ❤️ Her picture was also in Charlie's Angels and she was used for a music video by Wa Wa Nee in the 80s.
I was so luck to have Taylor Jones gifted to me by a friend. She's gorgeous. I love Tiffany too but don't have to room for bigger dolls.
I love her as a center parted brunette!
Me too! 😂 I have now rerooted one and the other two will be staying blonde so now I feel like I need another to be a brunette! 😩
Hi dean i have all her stuff that ideal made for her.I have all the dolls made of her.I have her apartment and her summer house too.Well take care Dean Best Paul
I love her too! She can wear some kind of Monster High shoes!💜
Yay! Hello fellow Tuesday fan! ❤️😊 Yes, I think I have seen that in some pictures. A few people also use Mego Cher shoes too.
I like Beautiful Christie 12:14 better than Dorothy. Are they 2 different faces or it's just the hair I like better? Oh just noticed u reviewed her.
Yes, different faces but they look similar. Crissy is much bonier / angular.
Thank you.

@@tuesdaynyx Awesome! Congrats! ❤😊
I wish she could make a comeback. She has a nice face and proportions, and the articulation and stand are a bonus. I have a Barbie from the 2000s with this hair gimmick, but I'd rather have the real deal.

you should.not unbox vintage items. you do it for the camera or you can't buy an opened version? I don't like this and as a collector is unnerving and feels wrong. also.the casual way you do it...
I’m afraid I do not really care what you think. My money, my rules. I bought these items and they belong to me, therefore I can do with them as I wish. If you are so desperate to save all of the vintage boxed dolls from being unboxed, then I suggest that you spend your own money obtaining them and mind your own business.
