Thank you for the video. Really struggling with this foot when I have to free motion against the needle backwards or to the upper left. Going to try these tricks and see if I can fix it.

In adjusting ruler foot most videos are on smooth fabric I have trouble finding the "sweet spot" when I need to go over seams.

That is a common problem. I have to adjust the foot sometimes too. I try to plan for making my seams as flat as I can during construction.

can't see what you are pressing so no help. cheers. Mine does not move at all and I can not find my book for my machine unfortunetly.
