Fiskars has a really nice selection of different style and size knifes so it's worth looking at entire selection to understand strengths or weaknesses of any particular knife.
Their smaller folding knife (smaller than the one in your video) for example feels almost too small but it's probably great for small and nimble tasks.
The bigger folding one has been my go-to one; I like it's ergonomics over other brands.

    More established players.... 😂😂.
Fiskars was founded before USA was a thing... Around 1650...

I cant speak to the rest of the Fiskars knifes but the folding knife is my favorite utility knife to date

I like how solid the blade retaining plate is. I could bash it into concrete and the blade would snap but the mechanism wouldn't get damaged.

We have good Fiskar garden tools which is why we chose the utility knife by them. Both lock and slide buttons were clunky. The slide button was stuck and the lock button didn't work at all. In Canada it was almost $20 for a piece of junk. Back to the store it goes.

Not sure what the whining is all about. I love my Fiskars folding knife. I'm a carpenter and have used just about every brand over the years. Fiskars is easily the best knife I've ever used.

I had an Irwin folding cutter for the last seven years. After all that time of daily use, t's got a slight paint chip on the edges but a design flaw caused a metal edge to wear out which made the blade hit metal and thus lose sharpness when closing the knife. Still, seven years of use is noteworthy for me.
Bought a Fiskars pro mini folding knife as a replacement, at a higher price than a new Irwin, may I add, and it had a noticeable wobble as new. Also, after one single day of use, the writing is all but worn off and the yellow rubber grip is grey. I'll go out on a limb and claim that this baby, though nice, will not last me that same seven years. '
To sum up my pointless little entry here, to me, Fiskars seems like a good brand for cutting tools, especially given that the blade mine came with is the best I ever used, but it's more an enthusiast collectible than a workhorse. Again, in my opinion...

They look good, but great to see in hand reviews. I'm still a big fan of my milwaukee 6 in 1 but by far and away the dominant brand here in the UK is Stanley.
    Cheers 🍻

I had the Fiskars folding knife, I initially bought it because it looked ergonomic and stylish and I already had several pairs of Fiskars Scissors, but the quick release for the blade broke the third time I changed the blade, Also the writing wore off after very little use and what I thought was a metal end cap, seems to be made of plastic after the silver paint started wearing off, with the exception of their scissors, Its put me off buying any more Fiskars tools.

It's hard to know how big your hands are. That's gotta be a factor. I'd like to see the knives in person. Even if you see one in the store you can't test how it feels in your hand because of all that packaging.

I don’t understand why these type of knives still exist. Snap off blade knives are far superior in every way.

Thanks for the video. The package didn't have any instructions and I couldn't figure out how to open it.

it looks like the stanley fatmax exochange in comparison in dimensions, i have the stanley exochange and it's big and heavy i don't use it much because of that, i reach for my 18mm snap off (stanley of course :D, i'll leave the model here ST-0-10-280), this fiskars looks a quality tool that will last, good quality and solid, maybe they need to move towards a more compact approach and i agree with you, good tool but too big, with Milwaukee, Stanley, Husky with more compact tools it's hard to pick this fiskars, but overall it seems a well built knife that will get the job done :D nice as always

Would love to get your opinion on Toughbuilt knives. They're newer as well and have a few with crazy features.

The fiskard pro folding knive is not worthy. Mine is useless after changing the first blade I used to reverse it. It went out nicely, but now I won't go back in place. Cannot belive I paid this money for this high tech useless piece of 🎉.
