Not really sure which direction to go in, so I just keep putting my nose down and grinding out missions. So far so good, anyway!

@Stu1701 To be fair, I only used the ship to get the trait and console. My favourite go-to ship is the inquiry. Having that trait and the console has really made a difference in damage out put and hull healing. I would definitely recommend it for beam overload builds
Great list! Love how we can get ships from the C-Store that are better than many Lockbox ships. When I first started playing STO in 2012 the first ship I got was the T5 Tac-Ody. I liked it so much I ended up getting the Flagship T6 Mega bundle when it came out. However, as time passed it was drydocked as much better ships came out when specializations were created in the Delta-Expansion and it collected dust. Then... the Lexington came out, which is by far my favorite ship in the game. I can claim it on all my characters unlike the Inquiry, it comes with a Cmdr MW / Lt Intel, which is an amazing combo, it fits the poor man's DPRM (The Flagship Tac computer) which pairs so very well with the Eng Flagship console, you get a hanger and a lance weapon, you get the 13 consoles.... it's such a beast of a ship, and it's beautiful which makes it subjectively better than the VW MW Jug. With the traits ETM, Supercharged weapons, Emergency Weapons Cycle, Heart of Sol, Calm before the Storm, everything just fits together so perfectly when flying with 7 energy and a torp. Really love the Lexington. Then on top of it the new skin looks amazing.
Also Not the Mogai Thats t5 its the Morrigu t6. But ..the ship to have with EWC is the Legendary Valdore from the first strike bundle that can use the mogai and morrigu skins(included)
Is the fact that the Grissom annoys Kael the reason why that thing has been the forefront ship in the ESD shipyard since the time when we were eagerly awaiting the Iconian war to start?
Lexington is bestington!!! If there is ONE ship that I would recommend people buy and if it was to be their only one, it's the Lexington. No matter how you play, it's a great freakin ship!!!! Now... I do take issue with claims of it being bad for forward facing energy weapons!!! But I understand why. For my build, I use the phaser torpedo on the front, along with the Disco wide-arc dual phaser, the agony phaser and reputation Terran phaser. Aft is loaded down with an elite fleet phaser, 360 player crafted phaser, 360 trilithium phaser and Disco rep torpedo. So basically I made my ship into a 6/3 or more realistically a 5/1.5, added some stuff for turn rate increase and can never go wrong with a Ragalia engine... no not the HIGHEST DPS of my fleet, but it is up there and can take a beating. The Lexington is just a fantastic ship and finally gives the Odyssey its proper flagship stats.
I think I discovered a little flaw with Entwined Tactical Matrices.. unless I'm mistaking it the proc version of FAW 1 locks out your ability to start FAW III till it wears off.. Yeah, I might be mistaking that, but it seems that would be hurting your overall damage output.
id also thought that maybe having the vanguard mechanic on some non jemmy ships would have been much nicer than adding single hangars everywhere with a very limited usefulness of MOST "classic" pets anyway. still hoping to get maybe some federation/rom/klingon vanguards mechanics - many vorchas were accompanied by brels actually, galaxy classes by runabouts and so on.
I did consider it, but being a Command Science ship with a secondary MW seat, it's not great for actual science builds. For an EPG or Control build you really want Temporal or Intel. Trailblazer is good as a torp build thanks to the heavy tactical seating and 4/3 layout, but a cruiser or escort will always out perform it with the same build. The Trailblazer will just have a bit more options with the Sci abilities, but even then, the higher level seats will be taken up by the Command powers. Don't get me wrong, its a good ship, and definitely the best version of the Intrepid class in the game, but it falls a bit short without an Intel or Temporal seat.
I'm not a fan of the torpedo builds and the play style of dealing with the mine launchers. However, the Eagle is nice because I don't really have to deal with that.
Regarding the Clarke and Miranda/Centaur skins: I've actually discovered that with the right parts, you can make a ship with detached nacelles and pylons. Impromptu 32nd century.
I'm not sure where, I'm not sure what it would replace but I think the Suliban Carrier would be on my version of this list. For my style of play it's really great... plus it's a full carrier with 5/3 weapons _and_ a battle cloak. It's a better alternative to the Monitor in my opinion. Also I think it's time they update the T5 Odyssey set to let you have the Chevron separated AND the Aquarius deployed at the same time, I mean _really_ aside from the set bonus the inability to have both on at the same time just makes one of them basically useless.
The Silik was on last year's list. The Command seat on it means it's a solid torpedo boat, but I didn't include it this year because it's not full spec.
Are there any good c-store ships for tank builds I bought the narendra class and not sure if it’s a good platform for that build Any help would be greatly appreciated
pretty much any Command Cruiser is a good tank. I'd recommend the Clarke or the Buran. Lexington is decently tanky too thanks to it being a dreadnought.
Stu should wax his mustache into an old tymey one like Wang. It would really complete the look. Oh yeah and a monocle too. He definitely needs a monocle...
Amazing video as always, Stu, but I have a question. I'm currently riding on the TNG wave, and I got inspired by your TNG build. I don't have the legendary Galaxy though. Is it still worth it to get the Cygnus & Sirius? I was planning to get them from the year long event.
Cygnus kinda bugs me because of its seating. With two lieutenant Tac seats a Lt.Cmdr. universal seat, it will always have either too much, or not enough Tac seating. However if you're wanting the normal Galaxy skin, it is still the second best option next to the World Razer. Sirius is a solid Torp boat or tank, if you're wanting the Galaxy dreadnought. I just wasn't impressed with it because there are already so many other ships like it already.
The Gagarin's trait is also a beast for torpedo boats and when combined with the console for the Eagle on a full pilot ship and what you get is the ability to spam torpedo spreads like your torpedoes have Cannon Rapid Fire. Just set up your full torpedo build, have BFAW and CSV as abilities on your tac boffs and you can use those for free, no shared cooldown torpedo spreads.
@@Stu1701 It does come off the Jem Vangaurd Carrier. Last time I used it actually from that ship (when it launched), it did have a part of the ship detach from it separation style.
I. Not 💯 % sure yet but if I go c store Nobel and Sirius dreadnaught never been a fan of galaxy but Ross class made me a fan so tho there’s no Ross variant yet I’ve found a build I like least till they add the Ross
Can you please tell me what ship would be great for a space wizard/anomaly build? It can be from the c store or one i could get for the yearly completion.
The Verne is still widely considered the best science ship in the game, it's a lockbox ship. The Grissom and Eternal are also nice options, they're from the C-store.
Genuine question…why does everyone call the in game store “c-store”? When the currency is “zen” and in-game its even called the “zen-store”…just wondering….
It's a carry-over from the early days of the game. STO's in-game store currency wasn't always Zen, it used to be Cryptic Points. This was way back when Atari was still the game's publisher. Eventually Atari dumbed Cryptic (because Atari didn't know how MMO's work) and Cryptic was later picked up by Perfect World Entertainment. This is when the in-game currency was changed from Cryptic Points to Zen. So C-Store is in reference to the store's original name and currency. You're right that is technically should be called Zen Store (or Z-Store) at this point, but most of us from those days of the game still call it C-store out of habit to the point that even players who weren't around in those days call it the C-Store too.
I've had the Gagarin since it came out and normally only used it for the trait and then left it, but recently I felt inclined to try and put a build together for it. I needed two fully maxxed-out Bellum RCS Accelerators to make it move the way I wanted, but I'm pretty pleased with it. (The lack of base maneuverability is a real shame too, because the lore Thomas Marrone wrote up for the Gagarin is that its supposed to be swift and maneuverable!) The Lexington isn't entirely my cup of tea, but the Multi-Directional Artillery Barrage console it comes with is a lot of fun and is a must-have for Quantum Torpedo canon/theme builds.
been having a great time with the lexington, nearly completed the build from your lexington build video (needing that damn domino console) looks sweet with the lukari rep shield aswell question about entwined though: do i need both torpedo spread and faw skills to activate eachother? or can i just keep spread only and get a free faw?
In total length, I think its the Durgath (KDF version of the Enterprise-J). I think the Herald Vonph is the tallest. The Borg Command Juggernaut and the Viridian Juggernaut are some of the largest in the game as well.
Solid ship. That set of ships is a bit weird because they're classified as battleships, but are built more like dreadnoughts. Being full Command ships they're good for tank build or torpedo builds.
I don't know if it's because of your attitude of only wanting to play a Gemini darship with a Gemini character but I personally liked to. Be able to use the bug ship for any character. I wished and now developers have taken that away.😢😢
I have the adamant I fly as one of my flags disappointed the 1 aft least give me a second aft it’s suppost to be terrans answer to defiant so it should be equal or better so lacking weapons is what kills it yea get experimental weapon and built in cloak but doesn’t make up for the lack of aft weapons
I do love Emergency Power to Weapons. And the haste really helps Surgical Strikes. I have the Clarke, it's nice. If you put Centaur pylons on it you get a really cool but weird Conny look to it.
Love the channel, love the videos, But... I know what the Z-store is... But what is the C-store? Should have started with that in the video, you know for the new players.
Yeah, C-Store and Z-Store (or Zen store) are the same thing. C-store was the original name for it, back before Zen was a thing. Old habits die hard. You can often tell how long someone's been playing STO by weather they say C-store or Z-store lol.
Way too many federation ships in the game. Very boring! I guess STO does not understand the concept of 'Factions'. All sides should have UNIQUE massive C-store packs too, and not that lazy BS where they release a 9 pack but it's really just 3 ships for each faction. I hate that.
I bought the Gagarin and it's pants, I'm assuming for it to good it needs full epic consoles, weapons etc which I haven't got yet, so for me atm it's garbage and doesn't survive a good onslaught from ads.
On last year's top 10 list. The Titan isn't a bad ship, but it's not full spec and science destroyers are just a gimmick that with little practical use. The ability to swap between a science ship and an escort is completely useful mid-battle with the ability to change your loadout along with it. Then you're just flying an escort with a bunch of science gear and trait, which isn't going to help at all. It does make them a little more versatile as to what sort of build you can put on them, like you could put a tac focused loadout and a sci focused loadout on it, but if you're using a build that needs the tac focused loadout then you're going to have to remember to turn on tactical mode every time and if you die its going to be placed on a 30 second cooldown (which is annoying). And ever then the tactical mode will never be as good as an actual escort because it's still a science ship at heart (and in the master package), so there's no point in flying a science destroyer for purely tactical mode. Titan isn't a bad ship, and its certainly a very pretty ship, but Science Destroyers as a concept are pretty dumb.

You're right that is technically should be called Zen Store (or Z-Store) at this point, but most of us from those days of the game still call it C-store out of habit to the point that even players who weren't around in those days call it the C-Store too.
@@Stu1701 ok, thank you,…
I've had the Gagarin since it came out and normally only used it for the trait and then left it, but recently I felt inclined to try and put a build together for it. I needed two fully maxxed-out Bellum RCS Accelerators to make it move the way I wanted, but I'm pretty pleased with it. (The lack of base maneuverability is a real shame too, because the lore Thomas Marrone wrote up for the Gagarin is that its supposed to be swift and maneuverable!)
The Lexington isn't entirely my cup of tea, but the Multi-Directional Artillery Barrage console it comes with is a lot of fun and is a must-have for Quantum Torpedo canon/theme builds.
been having a great time with the lexington, nearly completed the build from your lexington build video (needing that damn domino console) looks sweet with the lukari rep shield aswell
question about entwined though: do i need both torpedo spread and faw skills to activate eachother? or can i just keep spread only and get a free faw?
Can anyone tell me like what’s the ship with the largest/biggest size playable in this game? Maybe Top 3 of the biggest ships would be great to know.
In total length, I think its the Durgath (KDF version of the Enterprise-J). I think the Herald Vonph is the tallest. The Borg Command Juggernaut and the Viridian Juggernaut are some of the largest in the game as well.
What is the strongest ship in the federation?
What do you think Presidió class
Solid ship. That set of ships is a bit weird because they're classified as battleships, but are built more like dreadnoughts. Being full Command ships they're good for tank build or torpedo builds.
Entwined, it only works with torpedoes and fire at will (1) … can’t use 2or 3 ?
You can use any level or FaW and torp spread, but the trait will only give level 1 of these abilities.
The hydra is, in my opinion, the BEST tactical ship in the game. Period.
I’m a printed ship collector so a discount code with gameprint be great I’ve already got my flag ship so really no need for zen myself anymore
Love the Lex...tis a fine looking, and performing, ship.
What about KDF ships? All I see are Federation/Mirror versions and its sad :(
The only reason I would tell anyone to get the Eternal over the Grissom is that it's fleet grade out of the box. The Grissom isn't.
I don't know if it's because of your attitude of only wanting to play a Gemini darship with a Gemini character but I personally liked to. Be able to use the bug ship for any character. I wished and now developers have taken that away.😢😢
Didn't see my archon anywhere...
What does EPG mean?
Exotic Particle Generator. These are builds that focus on doing damage exotic abilities. Basically, the crazy space science magic builds.
@@Stu1701 gotcha 😂
so looks like hydra and eagle for me lol....i have MOST of this top ten already
It would be nice if MVAM had our weapons instead of the basics, maybe they could at least hit harder, it looks cool but damn are they dumb😂
Love the channel, love the videos,
But...
I know what the Z-store is... But what is the C-store?
Should have started with that in the video, you know for the new players.
The C-Store and Z-Store are the same thing. The store where you buy things with Zen. They’re interchangeable.
Yeah, C-Store and Z-Store (or Zen store) are the same thing. C-store was the original name for it, back before Zen was a thing. Old habits die hard. You can often tell how long someone's been playing STO by weather they say C-store or Z-store lol.
Support.
😅 I guess i am first
Or six.
Pretty much all of these ships are are pew~pew or kaboom.. Not a single tank or space wizard build
My very first video was about tank builds
Way too many federation ships in the game. Very boring! I guess STO does not understand the concept of 'Factions'. All sides should have UNIQUE massive C-store packs too, and not that lazy BS where they release a 9 pack but it's really just 3 ships for each faction. I hate that.
It's not that they don't understand them, its the fact that the majority of the player-base only plays Federation.
@@Stu1701 they bring dishonor to their house!!
I bought the Gagarin and it's pants, I'm assuming for it to good it needs full epic consoles, weapons etc which I haven't got yet, so for me atm it's garbage and doesn't survive a good onslaught from ads.
Where is the Titan science destroyer?🥲
