ASMR Colours for the Dark Season (soft spoken, paper sounds, brushing)

- Fall can be difficult to handle. it's getting cold and dark, you have less energy, and the days can look pretty dreary. So I really like this idea I found in a small book about the joys of urban living: to use colours to fend off the darkness of winter. Let's take a stroll through some colour theory!
This video is intended for relaxation. It features a soft spoken voice with slight Austrian accent, paper and book sounds, pointing, tracing and brushing. I hope it'll bring you calm and help you fall asleep!

I can't even put into words how much I love this video! I've never seen an ASMR style video essay before. Using different books to build upon what you're sharing about colors. Decided to rewatch this one as the weather is getting colder. Made it to the end without falling asleep this time 😂 the brushing of the colored stones at the end with the candle shining through was gorgeous. Great video!!
I like the unfriendly room colors the best. Gray, brown and black are my favorite colors. 😊😊😊
Yeah ultimately it depends so much on material and style as well, "unfriendly" colour can be very nice!
It’s the end of summer as I watch this, and I am going to file it away to revisit frequently to get through the long New England winter. The concept of using color to combat the long, gray days is really lovely, and seems like a genius idea. I know this video will bring me immense joy on the humdrum, cold evenings. Thanks, Melange!
Also, it was fun to see the paint colors you chose from that other video and understand that they are for your kitchen. I believe that video was not in English, so I always wondered what you were picking the colors for! Which one did you finally choose??
It was for my kitchen, yes! I picked a dusty pink and I'm really happy with it - it's not a very bright room and the kitchen is black, white and grey, so that warm tone really was needed and changed the entire room. Took me months to decide tho 😅

Smiled when you said you still have not painted your kitchen. I have $900.00 worth of paint sitting in my garage for the last two years to paint the inside of my house - LOL.
Picking colours is a very intricate business. I took my time with it all and like what I ended up with. Got 7 doors painted and that has been it so far. Feng Shui is important and colour is a major part of it. Balance between the light and the dark paramount and colour can play a good role in this.

Aaah 900 $, oh dear! Luckily I haven't bought any colour yet haha. But yes, I feel like it pays off to wait until you get a feeling for what a room needs - even if it would be more practical to get it all out of the way before the furniture arrives. I've never painted my doors before, that's a neat idea too.

@@MelangeASMR It's good paint and it will keep. Have elevated it off the concrete to keep any moisture away. I like the actual painting but the preparation is half the job and very meticulous and time consuming. The place will look good when it gets done but I am not sure when that happens:-)
