I’m building a reversible o gauge layout base. Winter on one side, summer on the other. Hopefully will have it done in time. It won’t have any permanent scenery except for the base. Lego structures.
Sweet! Great use of track in street modelling, an effect rarely done well. What people don't realise is you could take this even further - more vehicles, lots more people, more lighting effects, some items to block the view from certain angles, add so much detail that the viewer loses the fact that it's just a loop of track. Great work as always, your channel inspires me to keep trying small projects and like you, I am planning donation layouts to my daughters school to raffle for money. Thanks again.
Steve, Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hope Santa brought you a lot of N scale goodies. Super job on that trolley layout. Have a Happy and Safe New Year
Merry Christmas Steve. Thank you for another awesome layout! Please do more of these small micro layouts. Very inspirational and full of great advice and techniques. I greatly appreciate your channel. Happy New Year!
Thanks Steve, Merry Xmas to you and yours. I love how willing you are to slather plaster over n scale track. The thought of doing that always makes me a little nervous but your results speak for themselves. Hope 2022 brings more n scale layout projects. Looking forward to it!! Cheers, Steve Cox
Merry Christmas Steve and your family, have a wonderful day and as always, another amazing layout. Only 3 hours total time, amazing. You indeed have the skill, talent and patience to bring any scene to life. Stay safe.
Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year Steve. I get so much inspiration and ideas from your channel as I have so little room for my layout. I look forward to your layouts next year.
I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! I am really inspired now to try some of my projects! I have lots of Kato in n scale and trying my hand in z scale also. I started out in g scale and working myself down to t scale! I'm 65 years old and I should be getting up in scale not down! LOL. Keep up the great work! The only thing is I have to find some good sources to buy more track and trains it is getting very expensive out there so any input would be highly appreciated!
Merry Christmas to you and yours Steve. Nice layout. One question, how did you clear the flangeways after you filled them with spackle? I used the Kato CV-1 set to make my own "Christmas Tree Layout".
Very beautiful layout
That's awesome, maybe this year you could make a Christmas tree with different sizes of scales on each level.🎄

Creative idea using a serving tray as a base, nice work!!!
This is fantastic.
If you have space for a Serving Tray you have space for a layout :) Merry Christmas & Happy new Year!

Throw in a engine shed on a tiny spur track, a timer to give the illusion of a larger layout, and a programmable LED arbor tunnel on the left.
Cool little build! Merry Christmas, Steve! I hope you and your family had a great holiday! - Shane

Merry Christmas to you and yours Steve. Nice layout. One question, how did you clear the flangeways after you filled them with spackle? I used the Kato CV-1 set to make my own "Christmas Tree Layout".
I used the edge of the tool I spread the spackle with, and then scraped more of it off the inside edge of the rail heads with my utility knife.
Hi Steve, Where did you get the lighted Christmas tree?
Honestly, can’t remember. I think it was from model train stuff, but it was a couple of years ago, so not 100% sure.
What was the brand for that serving tray
No idea. We had them in the house for many years.
What was the length and width of this layout?
Something on the order of 12x17”
Merry Christmas!
