This video sold me on the GoSports table. My 7 foot blue version was delivered a week ago and I’ve been playing every day. Totally worth it for the price. Awesome value table 🔥
Yo!! And it's gets better and better for me. And I'm strictly speaking on speed of the felt n bumpers. The more I play better the roll.. Glad u like it bro
This is a great review. I just purchased one of these style tables. The base surface in these entry level tables are basically all the same style MDF construction, so it's good to have an after 30 day use review of the surface and the felt performance. I went with a 6 foot table with a traditional green felt from SereneLife. I did have the GoSports in mind too but the SereneLife had thicker construction and more supports underneath which is better for longevity. I am stoked for this. This review really helped me decide that an MDF table is good enough for my basic needs of basic practice. :)
THANK YOU!! and yes u said it best " MDF table is good enough for my basic needs of basic practice". The table u purchased will serve the Same purpose as mine. Simply allow us to get better. ENJOY !!! and thank u for watching and commenting
A real review! Thank you - this was way more helpful than some sterile pros and cons based off some technical details. I noticed in other videos how slow it was - super glad I came here and see there is hope with someone talking about what real concerns there are and actively shooting around on it. Great review. Was looking into this for my pops , he’s just picking up the game and want to practice and his little porch wouldn’t handle those big tables but this is great ! Thanks man!

That’s awesome! Maybe something to look into for your pockets: I made my own drop pockets out of 550 cord and they’ve worked great. I looked up how to make a net with 550 cord and just made it pocket shaped, then tied the bottom. Time consuming but a cheap yet very effective improvement
I actually got the Pocket to fully extend. But they have come apart in some parts which I re tied with rubber bands. But I will look into getting the 550 cord. Great idea
Awesome review. Thanks for actually showing how it plays. My concern was if it could handle powerful shots or if you had to be delicate with it. You clearly showed it can handle being hit.

Yea I still go shoot on the weekend. But having a nice little practice table at home is awesome. I like going in my game room on Sundays throw some blues on and just play. Perfect atmosphere and energy to start my week. Lol I tell my wife this room is only for pool all outside influence is not welcome. I'm a energy person and having a table at home helps my mental health 🤣🤣
Absolutely!!! If it wasn't for this table I will still be going to the pool hall and paying money for practice. Thank you so much for that.. now I have a question for you. Did your table have a certain smell to it. Cause I must say, my table had a smell. Wasn't unbearable but very noticeable
I'm honestly pretty interested in picking this up. Does it seem like it would be easy to replace the felt and bumpers on this, or do you think that's a lost cause?
I'm sure to an experience installer it may not be. But in my opinion I would much rather buy a used slate table at a decent price and have that refelted and put new bumpers on that as opposed to buying this and then re-engineering it.

I would guesstimate around 150 to 175 pounds. Being that I have my table on bare hardwood floor it does tend to slide when someone leans over to shoot long shots if they be put to much body weight on it.
Given that is is wood, it will likely need to acclimate to the house - both in temp and humidity. Pool felt is finicky with humidity to begin with and I noticed you play with the window open. This can cause some varialbility in play. There's a story of SVB playing in the Phillipines, which notorriously humid. Someone turned on or off the AC and SVB went from playing his great game to losing. Story may be apocryphal but illustrative.
Humph!!.. interesti, informative And immensely, appreciated.. .. So a little backstory. That room that I shoot pool in used to be my master's bedroom. at the time when I was with wifey. I had asked her if we could use the master bedroom as a game room which would be the only way that we could use a pool table without them having it downstairs. So that room is actually the coolest room in the house and it has a lot of trees in the back off Where the room is located? So it doesn't get a lot of the heat from the sun that I get in the room that I moved into. It's a room that's in the front of the house on the side facing sun, so I had to give a little to get the table. Now that is summertime, I'm miserable in that room so hot.!! But aye it is what it is. Thanks for knowledge
Great question!! There are adjustable legs that allow a lot of room for leveling. You just turn the knobs on the bottom left or right and it will adjust accordingly accordingly
Not sure the dimensions of the room but i could definitely use about 2 more feet on the side. I thought that I would have a little bit more room than I do. I will say that a 6ft table would have been perfect for the room that I'm working with but I did not want a 6-foot table. I use regular cues and I do have a 2ft cue that I use if I'm touching the wall.
Hey, thank you so much for your review. After two years, what do you think of it now? I'm looking to buy one myself, maybe the black color. How is the wear and tear two years later?
Now it rolls great. Tons of games have been played in a lot of memories have been made. My son isn't college so whenever he's home? We play a lot of pool and it's cool being able to do that. The table is held up pretty good. Overall still level, and it seems to get better The more that we play on it. But I also don't allow jump shots or Any shot that can damage the table
I got a blue 7 footer on the way. Bought a felt protector if I want to jump or masse since I'm worried i may damage it attempting those shots with the cue. How's your experience been? Durable felt?
Very durable considering how fiberous the felt is compared to speed cloth. Give it some break in time. Took me a couple weeks for the cloth to get where the balls would spread nicely.
@@MrShomari1 I love it! Good balls reduce burn and pyro chalk is much cleaner on cue to ball transfer. I still use the protector on any hard draw or masse shots too.
I'm not going to lie, this table is no where close to a diamond slate! But it has increased my ability to play outside my home 10 fold. Im way more confident and now I'm learning how to position my cue for the next shot. It helps to have a practice table at home
That's what this 1 is. It may look smaller being that its in a small room. Room isn't big enough when the ball is on rails... But it does work for what I need it for. It's not bad for the price
After a month u will see a big difference. I suggest buying a brush and brushing the felt every day to force the fibers down. But give it some time and u will see a difference slowly but surely... I promise
Carolina in dis bish!!😂 No problem bruh. I'm happy u found it.(video) Let me know how u like it in a months time. It's about time for me to a 1 year later video. Anything u can come up with lemme know. Negative or positive!!
Awesome review, this is much appreciated. Planning on buying this but, was wondering would it be better to replace the felt and bumper for a better experience?
Honestly if i was going to first buy the table then change bumpers felt and pay for installation...I would look for a used bar table. look on offer up or Craigslist and see what u find. This table is great for the price and mobility of folding and putting away. But i would rather buy a used slate then getting it refurbished
There is some play within adjusting the legs but I didn't have to adjust a lot coming out of The Box. So I haven't really checked out the maximum height
With these wood floors if I put to much pressure behind a bump or lean over it will slide a lil. Also if u don't lean in to much u stR8. ... But if I lean on it with a really long stretch it will move. You learn the do's and dont's pretty quickly tho
Like what. Family reunion, rental party, lil block party, kids party, wedding party, things like that... Sure but not so much like a tournament but who knows if it works it works!

The table is held up pretty good. Overall still level, and it seems to get better The more that we play on it. But I also don't allow jump shots or Any shot that can damage the table
Good review my bredren! I have one on the way and appreciate this.
My Man!!! Enjoy... give it time, it will turn out to be a good buy considering the price range
I definitely recommend a felt cloth. I started seeing spots where I was breaking at so I will definitely get a cloth to break on.
@@MrShomari1 I did and had the same happen. Still rolls really well with new aramith premier balls.
@@johngdrums420 I did hear those balls would make a huge difference so funny you mention that. I will pick some up myself how are you liking the table
@@MrShomari1 I love it! Good balls reduce burn and pyro chalk is much cleaner on cue to ball transfer. I still use the protector on any hard draw or masse shots too.
Another good shot brotha. That bank. Damn. I below average. Trying to get better
I'm not going to lie, this table is no where close to a diamond slate! But it has increased my ability to play outside my home 10 fold. Im way more confident and now I'm learning how to position my cue for the next shot. It helps to have a practice table at home
Nice shot man! Damn that was good
I'm in SC too! Great review!
Helpful review, thanks!
I have looked at this table but I want the 7ft.
That's what this 1 is. It may look smaller being that its in a small room. Room isn't big enough when the ball is on rails... But it does work for what I need it for. It's not bad for the price
Did you buy a 6ft or 7ft? I notice your area is a studio type?
It's the 7ft table. The room really could use at least 2 more feet all around. I have a short stick for tight places that comes in handy
I just got the 7ft one how long did it take for the table to roll faster cause mine seems very slow ?
After a month u will see a big difference. I suggest buying a brush and brushing the felt every day to force the fibers down. But give it some time and u will see a difference slowly but surely... I promise
@@MrShomari1 thank u.
U seem a chilled guy ! Nice shirt by the way haha respect from Ireland !
Thanks my guy!! My son got me that shirt for father's day a while back so thanks for noticing!!!
Do you think this would be sturdy enough to put a ping-pong table topper on it?
Yes it should. I see no problems with a ping pong topper
I really like your video review. When you fold up the pool table can it be stored vertically?
Yes if you got the height in the room to store it vertically yes you can definitely do that
@@MrShomari1 how is the table so far? did the table warped overtime due to temperature change?
Thanks brother. This is a great review. I just got one too and I’m from South Carolina! Lol
Carolina in dis bish!!😂
No problem bruh. I'm happy u found it.(video)
Let me know how u like it in a months time.
It's about time for me to a 1 year later video. Anything u can come up with lemme know. Negative or positive!!
😂yeah, I’m from crazy Orangeburg. Imma let you know how it turns out.
But i would rather buy a used slate then getting it refurbished
can you adjust your legs on the table to higher height or is that the only height
There is some play within adjusting the legs but I didn't have to adjust a lot coming out of The Box. So I haven't really checked out the maximum height
Question: can't you change the things you didn't like on the table (such as the fabric...) or it's not worth changing?
I haven't priced how much the cost would be to recover the table. I'm guessing it would be upwards of 250+ to get it recovered
Does it slide around the floor? What about if you bump it?
With these wood floors if I put to much pressure behind a bump or lean over it will slide a lil. Also if u don't lean in to much u stR8. ... But if I lean on it with a really long stretch it will move.
You learn the do's and dont's pretty quickly tho
Good review thanks man
do you feel the height is too small?
no not really but maybe a Lil bigger but not much. I think they way they position the feet fits the weight of the table
Thanks 🙏
I have a 9 ft pool table but thinking about swapping it for an 8
The best thing about having a 9-ft table is when you do go and play on a bar table or any table smaller you can monster mash!!
@ 7:10 “that was a good shot I ain’t gnna lie “ hell yea it was lol
Thanks 🤣🤣🤣
I wonder would this table be kool to use at events 🤔🤔
Like what. Family reunion, rental party, lil block party, kids party, wedding party, things like that... Sure but not so much like a tournament but who knows if it works it works!
@Mari D yeah just something for folks to do 💪🏾💪🏾 appreciate it...
Thanks!
1:08...nice break!
Preciate it!!
Great review, this helped.
Questions do you have the 6ft or the 7ft table
This particular table is the 7ft
man i read this shit as 30 years, cant smoke no more weed bro, yall watch yourselves now. (me (i need to watch myself) naw real shit though thanks for the review W review
this is Rob from SC how are the cushions bank shots
What up Rob from SC!! The cushions have gotten alot better over time. The are perfect for practicing bank shots. The more I play on this "stiff AF out the box' table the more fluent it becomes
@@MrShomari1 nothing much here glad the rails work
Thanks for the review
Is that a 6ft table or a 7ft table you have?
This is the 7ft
That shirt is tough man
What size 6 or 7 feet
This is the 7ft table
Thanks for asking
What size is that table?
this one is the 7ft table
These look nice.i think this brand gosports in the 6ft might be better than the hathaway fairmont 6ft.update: I'm getting the gosports 6ft table !
I just did another video with a lil more detail... Check it out!!
Good review, brother, but Sorry it wasn't clear to us whether you said it was a 6 ft. or 7 ft. table Looks like a 6 ft. but it's kinda hard to tell on the vid. thx.
It's the 7ft
Good presentation. Appreciate it.
Appreciate u KING..
That was a good ass shot I can’t even lie😂
This is so helpful! Do you have a measurement on how wide this is when it it shut? Like how narrow of a space could this fit in?
No doubt I can measure and get back with u. Great question!!
@@MrShomari1 thank you!
@@joey_buttons_6 you more than welcome I thank you for watching
Appreciate the review bro how big is your room?
To be honest it's not big enough.. when I'm on the edges I have to use a shorter stick but I don't know the actual dimensions of the room
Hi nice review! Do you have any problem in leveling it?
Nope not at all. It has knobs on bottom of feet that adjust up or down. Super easy to adjust
Hi would you be able to put this on a dining table and not use the legs
What's the dimensions of the dining table. Now if I want to just set this on top and start playing u might run into a couple issues. If u want to do some finagling and make it happen, I don't see why not
@@MrShomari1 ok thanks
