The commentator asked the other commentator, "What do you think of the 30 second shot clock?" Of course it's a waste and not needed for either Jason or Josh, but I don't like it because with difficult shots or kicks I've see Josh literally run around the table trying to figure out how to shoot it because he didn't have much time. One time I saw him miss the shot because of that beep, beep, beep sound right at the time he was about to shoot. I WANT Josh and other pro-players to have enough time so I can see how they figured it out. As a fan watching, I hate that shot clock because it often prevents pro-players from having the time they need.
Yeah but have you ever watched Alex on a slow day? You end up wanting to strangle him. To Kevin, it's not their job to add commentary on everything under the sun. I agree with Robert that a commentator should be commenting on shots players decide to make and why they make them and how well they did in getting shape, what english they used, ball speed, etc. and etc. There's plenty to comment on to keep a commentator busy. What I don't especially like is the game commentators make in trying to predict shots. All they do is draw lines and circles and try to predict shots BEFORE the players shoot them. It's good to do this a little, but they make a game out of it and it's all they do.

I don’t understand why they don’t get fouled. The guy at one point didn’t even hit a ball. It went to the next guy and he couldn’t pick it up. At 31:02 he just hits the 7 and the guy passes it back to him
It's called push-out. Following a dry break, you're allowed to take a foulless shot, that your opponent can then decide to take on, or give control back to you. It's a very tactical thing. You want to be able to make the shot you create, but you don't want it so easy, that your opponent just clears out :)
I guess it depends how much time an ambidextrous player is prepared to put into practising the other way. More useful on a snooker table due to its larger size.
This is terrific pool. It is also some of the worst video editing I've ever seen. These cutaway scenes with the promotional lines are 400% higher volume than the rest of the track, and it's just jarring when they cut away to it without punctuation. 10/10 pool. 0/10 video editing.

It took six hours for the processing pf this video.... we even contacted them and asked if there’s a problem... it usually takes no more than 30 minutes
for me at 720p 60 fps, it is still too close to call, but maybe looks like 2 moving first. But if 2 move first that still not clear indicator, it could of nipped 9, hit 2 more fully, then back into 9. So even with the slow motion, for me it too close to call. So while Josh could of made a legal hit, there no way to verify it, so it an arguement which way to call in that situation. But for Josh his economic position is to obviously hit the 2 as well enough ahead of the 9 that it's able to be called, even if we don't think about that ever. I don't know, it was a good shot from Josh Filler, and I also respect the ref call because it was too close for me to tell even with slow motion.
@@marshalcraft For someone who plays pool it's obvious that it was a good hit...there is no way for the 9ball to hit the rail at that point with that speed from the angle Joshua had...i dont even know if it was possible to hit it there from his angle...
@@Greekou I think you are wrong, respectfully. Your argument is good, but to me it seems the 9 cam off the 6 possible as well as the cue ball into the 6. Now presume the cue ball came off the 2 into the 9 by the line the 9 goes and rouhgly where the cue ball was coming off the 2, the cue ball would stop and not stun into the 6 with force and roll. Think to me it rolled into the 9, into the 2 coming into the 6 nearly as the 9 come into the 6. The way you say, coming off the 2 would have nearly stop shoted into the 9.
I'm not knocking your argument, it's true, provided we are correct about the angles which can be destorted by tv angle, but I think it might be safe to assume that had there been a 9 first, the 9 had to of come off the 6. Maybe I'm just stupid, which really could be it, but I can't deny that after looking at it still I just really can' tshake the feeling that the 9 was hit first by my intuition.

It's called push-out. Following a dry break, you're allowed to take a foulless shot, that your opponent can then decide to take on, or give control back to you. It's a very tactical thing. You want to be able to make the shot you create, but you don't want it so easy, that your opponent just clears out :)
The only pro here is Tab.
:))
John morra is ambidextrous
Yeah? I guess many players can play shots the other way if need be with Ronnie O'Sullivan being the best example...
@@billiardnetwork ambidextrous mean he can use both hands equally. Not only in pool.
I guess it depends how much time an ambidextrous player is prepared to put into practising the other way. More useful on a snooker table due to its larger size.
Shaw doesnt use gloves anymore?
this is an older video. thanks for watching Cavid!
But u said it is 2018 in coments below.. nevermind. We all here for mr.Strickland. keep going💪
Yes, older meaning 2018.
@@billiardnetwork yeah but jason shaw were using glove since when?
cavid aslanzade well I think he used them long before
Man, that ref is a looker eh? 😉
Sorry, what happened at minute 48? Why did Filler lose his turn?!?
Because ref wrongly called a foul.
This is terrific pool. It is also some of the worst video editing I've ever seen. These cutaway scenes with the promotional lines are 400% higher volume than the rest of the track, and it's just jarring when they cut away to it without punctuation.
10/10 pool. 0/10 video editing.
How Filler can defeated fromthis type of pylr Shaw ,3 racks are gifted in plate to shaw
5 minutes in, and mute...
Sorry you didn’t enjoy the commentary... if we don’t have separate tracks for commentary and ambiance sound we can’t add a new one as it sounds so bad without the sound of ball contacts
Commentary is very poor. Two guys chit-chatting detracts from the match.
@@billiardnetwork that's ok, it's just me bitching and complaining a bit. Just something about those two providing commentary in the beginning that just makes me want to stop watching. Bo (or whatever his name is) is fine, but can't stand when he's paired up with the dude from New York. Every time he talks it just makes me grit my teeth as my ears start to bleed. I guess it got better later in the match when the one commentator is replaced by another, but I already stopped listening at that point.
funny logic commentary
every missed shot is the player jumped up on the shot
praising routine shots (for pros) as some kind of miracle or best thing they've seen
results based commentary with preliminary guessing game chatter
and feeling the need to explain very basic concepts, despite people that get anything out of these videos don't need such long winded yip yap
17:00 table is definitely not level... that takes away finesse shots and makes a difficult game even more difficult..pros don't rely on soft shots often but taking them away completely changes everything...they usually have the benefit of playing on and with the best equipment..I would not be happy if I had to play a match on a table that drifts as much as this table does...it's pretty bad..looked like it drifted left 3 or so inches over 4 1/2 feet or half of the table...no way that the ball should have done that...I would ask them to stop the match and re-level the table if I was playing for as high of stakes they are
Look closely he hit the rail first and hit it hard which caused it to move outwards.
That’s exactly what I was thinking also. I went back and watched it a couple times. The cue rolled like the table is not leveled properly. Looks like the table might be off slightly. Idk
The cue ball hit the rail, it was just a miss, not the tables fault.
video quality is so bad :/
samuelec check your settings... it looks like a 720p should
@@billiardnetwork if I switch between 480p and 720p I don't see any difference, it's heavily blurred.
Looks good on our side
It could be a UA-cam issue
It took six hours for the processing pf this video.... we even contacted them and asked if there’s a problem... it usually takes no more than 30 minutes
ada orang indo yang nonton ?
Sepertinya tidak. Tapi thansk untuk menonton!
Slowed down my video at 49:00 it was a clean hit, narrowly
for me at 720p 60 fps, it is still too close to call, but maybe looks like 2 moving first.
Yeah seems you are right no evidence that 6 move so, guess even I have to accept that it hit the 2 first.
