I've seen Donna the Buffalo at Fitzgeralds and Space in the Chicago area and these guys come to play and sell out every time. Excellent band from upstate NY!
What a treat to find this and the other posts on your channel. Thank you, thank you. I remember when I first met Tara, Jeb and Jim (RIP) back in the early 90’s jamming in the back fields of a small town festival in western NY. DTB and the Heartbeats have been ingrained in my heart ever since.
Niiiiiice one GeneGene, great job! Thanks Larry Pillman, too. Way to start my day. So happy you were in town to catch this show, man. It's always a treat to see new HERD, glad they liked Tara Buffalo. All Aboard! Hey AutomatingNature, I couldn't agree with you more.
I've been to shows where there were entire Basketball teams in front of me. I'm 5'5" so it happens often. Miss Jeb and Tara and the band. Damn covid. Wear your mask, protect each other.
LOL I don't remember. Sony handycam for sure. I can't remember what audio recorder I was using as I was in Austin visiting so I didn't have much recording equipment with me. I got kinda way out in the zone that night so my memory is not the best. I hope this helps your many questions.
This show was not recorded by ACL. 3Ten is a secondary stage located beneath the venue where they record for the Austin City Limits television show, no televison recordings take place here. Like everything in Austin, the good stuff gets buried beneath the corporate pimping. If memory serves, I think some pop-country band was playing upstairs that night
Donna the Buffalo I always come back to you. Through my life and musical journey you are foundational stone.
Wow, probably been 10 years since I have seen Donna the Buffalo. Still sound great.
I've loved this band for many years! So glad to see they're still playing...especially on Austin City Limits!

Thx for Posting Gene. Who would have thought there's people who still enjoy real instruments, vocal harmonies, & improvised jamming.
Just want to say hi from Woody Chai.. Thailand

like everything else in life...its all just perspective!
Crap programming by Austin City Limits. Remember when they were THE place to be heard 20+ years ago?
No top hat, luckily.

Why have Donna the Buffalo never been on the Austin City Limits PBS show??? Seems like an obvious thing but so far as I know it's never happened.
I totally agree. Have been following this awesome band for years.
How was this tapped. How did i miss them on austin cl? So many questions

Yes. I was just getting exited about gbh. I didnt catch donna on pbs ACL . Good times
I agree. How did i miss them?
This is a crap recording. Diminishes the famous "Austin City Limits" fame-making. Listen to the best of Donna the buffalo on UA-cam.
