As a big sister moment to you-from someone who was married at 32 and widowed at 33 (my husband was 35) find someone who has the same values as you. Things in common fade and change as we grow as adults but what you two value together usually doesn't change. I've also found that initial attraction or spark with someone fades quickly, look for the slow burn with someone your gut will tell you if their a safe person or not. Good luck out there! These stories made me laugh as I've had those same experiences too! You're a gem of a human and I wish you nothing but happiness!

Never feel pressure to date. I went 4- 5 years without dating after my 2 big break-ups. No one could rush me into anything until I was ready. Now I'm married and happy I took that time to focus on me.

This video was so much fun, I literally feel like I just sat down and caught up with a friend while we got ready for the night. So comforting and fun honestly 💜 wishing you the best for this date but also you’re totally right that there’s no pressure whether it works out or not. This is all valuable learning experiences and if not anything else, it’s just fun getting ready for a date and going out there!
I'm a bit older than you and you're absolutely right about the fact that super hot chemistry may not always be there in the very beginning. Giving it a few tries before throwing in the towel is a good thing to do. First of all, some people have a tendency to not be able to fully be themselves until they feel a little more comfortable. Actually, it can take a good while to truly get someone to be themselves. Good luck. I can't imagine how hard the dating scene is these days. I always felt its better to try and go do things and meet someone in a more natural manner. But I'm old fashioned, i realize that. I just feel that dating sites and online meeting sometimes consist of men that are mostly just looking to hook up. And thats okay maybe some ladys are too. You are absolutely right! A lot of people can be nervous or a bit guarded on those first few dates...i know that iam lol so if there are no red flags but you didnt really feel an immediate spark definitely give it a few more tries
@@KrystalMimms yes, I'm 45 and I been married once and divorced and I'm engaged now and we've been together for almost 8 years. I'm not rushing into anything and I know when I do marry it's going to be forever this time. Also physical attraction and chemistry is what first attracts you to someone but eventually there personality and the way they behave and how they treat you will be what keeps you around. The dating world is so crazy these days, my daughter is 27 and.i just feel for her. No one believes in monogamous relationships anymore and it's just different out there.
I agree! If there are no major red flags or signs of total incompatibility, if someone seems cool and I think they are attractive, I'd give it a couple-few dates before writing it off due to lack of chemistry.

I took 4 years from dating and seriously thought I would never again. I was through. I had the most fun those 4 years. I went to concerts, traveled, followed a couple of bands for awhile and put myself 1st. Then I met Jon again and everything changed.been married over 20years. You never know ❤

I applaud you for getting out there! It’s sooooo hard. I met my boyfriend whom I now live with on Hinge. I didn’t think it would work at all. I also felt like I was talking to my brother during our first date. My friend encouraged me to give him another shot. Best decision ever! I didn’t know a healthy relationship could actually exist and complement my life. I had to be comfortable enough with myself before adding someone else. Slow burn really can happen! I get how exhausting it is, but it can actually work. Go get ‘em!

Wine guy sounds like a realtor. The business meeting vibe solidified my hypothesis. As a fellow realtor, I can say coffee shop or lunch meetings are super common. Also the market is struggling just about everywhere in the US. A lot of us who weren't super established and well off have had to pick up second jobs. Hopefully if he was actually a realtor, he was honest about why he was working at a wine store

Question for you! How long after spraying heat protectant should you curl?
Something you said about date #4 guy stood out to me. You felt like this date would be deciding for you and that either it would continue or you’d see him more as a friend. Guys don’t want friends - if you don’t want to continue, let him go and move on. If he likes you, and obviously he does because you’re going out again, he will never get over that and be friends. I could never be friends with anyone who didn’t want to date me any more but I still liked. I had a date who still liked his old girlfriend. I told him to go back to her. While HE thought we were friends, it killed me every time I ran into him somewhere. It never ceased.

I actually gasped at spf 18 😂 Jesus! I will say when I met my husband, there wasn't an instant attraction. We started as friends, hangout all the time, I was dating someone else too. He kinda stole me away from my then current boyfriend. He just made me laugh and was super goofy. And now 10 years later, we are married with a child on the way! He is literally my best friend and we kinda read eachothers minds, it's crazy. But just don't go off instant chemistry because I didn't have that initially! I hope that helps! ❤ Love your videos!
