  • The Amazing Process of Extending an Excavator Boom Eighteen Feet Long
"Join us as we showcase the incredible engineering and skilled workmanship involved in extending the boom of an excavator by eighteen feet! In this video, we'll take you behind the scenes of a construction site where expert technicians and operators work together to modify a heavy-duty excavator. Watch as they carefully dismantle the original boom, fabricate new steel sections, and meticulously weld them to create a longer reach for challenging construction tasks. This process not only requires precision but also a deep understanding of the machinery's mechanics to maintain its balance and functionality. Don't miss out on this fascinating look into the world of construction and machinery modification. Hit the subscribe button for more amazing construction content!"

The lack of added structure shows the lack of comprehension of the forces involved when extending and not knowing that force increase from the fulcrum effect could very well get someone killed when this thing is in use. Don't you people have any engineers?

I mean, it's *probably* not going to collapse like they spliced in lengths of balsa wood, but I wouldn't raise my hand when they asked for volunteers to stand under it.

As usual, know-alls from the West saying "oh that won't work".
Personally, I am supposing that these guys in this, and similar, videos, know very well what works and what does not. Do you think this is the first time they did this mod?? I think not. How does this modified boom compare internally to one manufactured at that length in the first place? Do you know? Do you know the purpose to which the extended boom will be put? No, you don't.
ANY boom on the planet has safe working loads, which vary along the length of the boom. I am sure these chaps, and the people who order and pay for the modified booms, are well aware of that.

Sir,very well analysed, workers and owners who order for these kind of modification are not fool, and modifier are also not illelterate are doing this and guarenting that it will work. And definitely it should work because they have been already experienced it in working place of it's result. It's not one they have already modified so many it's kind of machines. Sir don't mind my English it's not my mother tongue, this is Pakistan and Pakistani workers.are.tough people.

Стрелу резать надо было болгаркой, а не плавить резаком. После резак металл в металлолом. Хотя для тапочников и так сойдет. Симулякр очередной. Без стапеля 🤪
