I play a lot of carnival games...lately it has been Mississippi Stud. I have caught quads 3 times now. ($2k, $4k and $6400)
I was at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi a couple of weeks ago, and we went to the Hard Rock next door to eat one evening. While waiting on the reservation, I played a little MS and a dude hit quads with a $100 ante. He had 2 Jacks in his hand, so he tripled all three spots. The dealer turns up the other 2 jacks, and he wins $40k, plus they had a bonus there, and that was another $1,900 (He tipped $500, and he gave the floor a $100)
I also had a guy at my table catch a straight flush in an Oklahoma casino this year, which paid 100x his bet, so he got $10k (He did not have the $5 bonus bet so he missed out on that, which was over $28k. All the other players that were playing the bonus got an envy payout of $1,500 each) - He tipped $50
I have a couple of questions: (and I recognize tipping is an individual preference, but mostly appreciated by the dealers, unless it is ridiculously low after a big win)
    1) What do you guys consider a good tip? (as a percent of the win)
    2) What is the best tip you ever got? (and the amount paid for that)
    3) What is the worst tip you got when someone hit a significant win?
I normally ask the dealers when I sit down for the first time if they pool their tips, or if they keep their own. (At Choctaw in Oklahoma they keep their own, except for craps and roulette)
If it is pooled, then I will usually make a bet for the dealers after a winning hand, but only toss an actual tip for hands that pay over $100.
If they are pooled, then I still make the occasional bets for the dealer, but normally wait until my session is over, and will toss between 3% and 5% of my net win for the session. If it is a losing session, then I only toss whatever odd chips I have left, if it is under $25
Last question, how would most dealers feel about how I tip based on the info above? (on the last quads that paid me $6,400, I rounded the tip down to $200, figuring my net was only about $4,600 when I account for taxes at the end of the year. I do not itemize, so I cannot deduct my losses, and always pay what is due. I know, sometimes it hurts to be honest about it, since there was no W2 on those 3 wins)
    Thanks

Not in any way, shape, or form. There is only one possible way dice setting couple feasibly work, and that would be with illegal cheating such as sliding or tens of thousands of hours of practice and NOT hitting the back wall which casinos won't allow. As long as the dice hit the back wall and tumble, which the casinos absolutely require, there is nothing that can be done to prevent a completely random roll. We see people every day that are cut off from being allowed to shoot the dice because they fail to hit the back wall.
